Visited here 13 Jan as a party of eight. Having eaten here on 2 previous occasions and been delighted we were all very disappointed in our meals. Despite the restaurant being empty the food seemed to take a age to come out, when it did it certainly wasn't worth the wait. Four of us ordered fillet steak, 3 of us... More

Having tried and eaten traditional Polish cuisine we thought we would give a French inspired restaurant a try. We weren't disappointed. A lovely atmosphere and delicious bouillabaisse for me and seafood risotto for my husband. Desserts were too good to miss. Lovely attentive waitress. We will look at staying in the adjoining rooms on a future visit.

I had a birthday celebration. It was superb. From a late lunchtime start. We spent several hours enjoying a memorable afternoon. Food is a mix of French with Polish influences. . Served with perfect presentation in the French style of small but perfectly balanced intense flavours. A great wine selection and spirits later on after the extensive desert trolley. .... More

Went to La Fontaine on our first day in Krakow (24/10/16). My wife and I had the pork three ways, my eldest son had chicken curry and youngest had the steak. I would describe the meal as fine dining and very enjoyable. The restaurant is situated in a cellar and had a nice atmosphere. It would be ideal for a... More

The menu was exquisite and mouth watering, the service was impeccable. It offered something slightly different to many of the other restaurants in the vicinity. The price was a bit dearer but the 3 course menu still only worked out at £25 per head, where a similar restaurant in the UK could easily be double. If you're looking for something... More

We visited La Fontaine on recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The food was local dishes and excellent value for money. The location is close to the main square in Krakow

Dinner on Friday night, and just popped in on the off chance as we had been given a menu the previous day. Wow! Greeted by a lovely lady who showed us a table for two. Ordered salmon marinated in Absynth and French onion soup to start. Superb. Mains were seafood risotto, and roe deer stew with wild boar fillet. Again... More

We were a big company of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Interior is super cool, comfy, relaxing. Menus a bit poor but food was good. Presentation of food was amazing. Staff was nice and spoke English. No rib eye there. Had Sea bass filet and it wasn't juicy it was a bit dry and potato on top in super oily,... More

Just off the main square, lots of character...bare walls, cosy, staff good. Very good little freebies before and after our meal. We went back again! Good menu choice.

We ate here on a couple of occasions, purely because the first night we ate there the meal was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food on both occasions was fantastic. There is an excellent choice of food and for the adventurous you can even try snails and frogs legs, although there is more homely food available.... More
