We walked past this on our first night and earmarked it for our last night as it was packed with local people.
We were not disappointed. The food was beautiful, the service excellent and the ambience perfect. Whilst there are far more "illustrious" restaurants in prime spots around the square, the food was not at this level.
Popular amongst our party were the pork stew on potato cakes, and the pear cocktails. Local craft beers were also good.
Great value also, with dinner and drinks approx. 100 zloty (£40) per couple inc tip.
Highly recommended, this place is on a lovely street just off the main square in the city centre.

We had dinner at this restaurant on New Year's Day and it was a wonderful surprise.
The place is very small but really nice, it offers typical local dishes and undoubtedly the best pierogies of our life. The waitress was kind and friendly and the price was the icing on the cake: really low for the excellent cuisine tasted throughout the dinner.
I recommend it to all tourists and if we have the opportunity we will definitely return.

We were advised to dine at this restaurant and the expectation was not disappointed. Despite being full, it was possible, with minimal wait, to dine and enjoy the typical cuisine. Nice place, excellent dinner, with a variety of excellent and tasty pierogi, good courtesy and availability. A place to recommend and definitely to attend several times!!

Found this on trip advisor and the reviews were good. Suggested we visit to our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) and we agreed to take the 15min walk from our hotel.
On arrival, a waitress told us that we would have to pay 10% extra because there were 8 of us. We weren't happy about this but accepted it as we were hungry.
We tried moving a table to allow 8 of us to sit together. However, another waitress told us that we couldn't do that and would have to squeeze onto a table for 6.
At this point we gave up and left.
I'm writing this review for the owner to see. He or she lost a decent chunk of business because his waitresses basically made it impossible for us to eat there.
Be wary if you're in a group larger than 6!

Thank you for your review. We add service charge to the bill to groups of 6 or more people, we usually inform you earlier just to be kind. There is a lot of places around that don't tell aboout service charge, just add it to the bill even for two or more people. We are so sorry about the table. Perhaps we had a reservations. Grettings.

Dropped by on a weekday looking to have a quick lunch and that is exactly what I got.
Ordered the Hungarian potato pancakes and even though the menu states it can take 30 minutes, the place was not busy and I got my meal in about 10-15 minutes.
Food was tasty, service was sufficient and not overbearing, I think in all, this is a good candidate for lunch.
Perhaps only downside is that in the immediate area, it is not the best value.

Our first lunch in Krakow couldn't be better. We tried the "basics" of Polish cuisine in a very cozy unassuming place. We were guided through our meal by a real "foodie" (the waiter) who gave us great hints on what to taste. Food was simple and delicious.
A must try for everyone who wants to know more about Polish cuisine.

17 years after the last visit to Krakow, I return with my wife and my two children and, for dinner, we look for a place near the historic center where we can eat traditional food without going to the usual tourist restaurants.
After a quick look online, I find this place with only positive reviews.
I have to confirm everything you read online: small restaurant in a street that leads to the main square of the historic center of Krakow, a few seats outside and about ten seats inside.
Very kind waiter, he explained everything to us with excellent English.
Impeccable and fast service, excellent food quality, 4 plates of pierogi, a fried potato pancake (also traditional in the Czech Republic, truly fantastic!), salad, a dessert, 4 beers, water for a total of 286 zlotys, or approximately 65 euros.
I would rate this place as great!
I recommend it to anyone who wants to try traditional flavors without becoming too touristy.

We arrived in Krakow after a flight from Liverpool, once we had arrived, we hadn't eaten since a small breakfast at 5 am before our flight.
After doing a Google search for traditional Polish food, we found Domowe Przysmaki had amazing reviews, so we decided to try it out.
The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavours (I wish we had food like this in the UK).
The service provided was incredible and he gave us so many recommendations for traditional Polish dishes and what to visit in the city.
Thank you so much for an amazing meal - it was 10/10 and gave us the energy to visit the suggestions of Warwel Castle and much more given by the staff in this amazing restaurant.
I highly recommend you visit Domowe Przysmaki when looking for traditional Polish food in Krakow!

We were quite late for lunch and still let us sit down for lunch. It has an extensive menu with some typical Polish dishes and desserts. The food was good quality, hearty and the cheesecake we ordered was very good, all this at a not too high price and with an attentive and friendly staff. We would recommend it.

The waiter was very kind and helpful.
I had a grilled poledwiczki, which was extremely overdone and therefore uneatable. Even the waiter could not cut the meat, so I send it back to the kitchen.
I was surprised that it was fully charged on the bill (PLN 54).

Just down the street from the main square is this delightful restaurant of authentic Polish cuisine. Our family of five enjoyed sauerkraut, pierogi, kielbasa, and onions, goulash, and pork chop. Two preceded your meal with red beet soup and sour soup. Everyone immensely enjoyed their food and the service was friendly and very attentive. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favourite food spots when in krakow, this time I introduced my friends to their first taste of Polish food in the first few hours having landed. It did not disappoint with all the classics such as pierogi, potato cakes and barszcz. If you want classic, well cooked Polish food at a great price with friendly staff this is your lunch and dinner spot!

me and my vegetarian girlfriend went for dinner here and it was delicious. She didn't struggle to find anything on the menu and she thoroughly enjoyed both her starter and her main. We were both left feeling stuffed and had eaten a bit too much. We were told by the staff when we couldn't finish our plates that in traditional polish restaurants the starters are basically mains. All our food was delicious, they recommended our drinks which again were lovely.
Staff members were welcoming and lovely through our whole time here.

We had dinner in this typical Polish restaurant, we ate excellent pirogies and an excellent potato pancake. Super recommended.
The Polish cheesecake is also very good.

Hidden gem! Contemporary interior, casual, and relaxing. Prices are remarkably inexpensive and with truly homemade Polish cuisine and with an English speaking staff. Ask for Bartek #1 . Enjoy the Okocim Mistrzowski Porter beer! Why spend a fortune when this place exists!?
