You won't need a starter

We spotted this restaurant on our first night in Krakow but had already planned to go elsewhere, so went here on our second night. Restaurant was already quite busy and filled up even more after we were seated. Our order was taken quickly and the cutlery, together with complimentary bread and pate followed, but it was quite a while before we git our drinks. The previous night we had seen lots of people order soup in a bread roll, so decided to try it here. We had different soups, but both had sausage and potato in them. Coupled with eating the top and inner wall of the bread roll it was extremely filling. Thankfully it was a little while before our mains arrived; ribs and duck. The ribs were served on a huge wooden board and my half a duck with gnocchi filled the entire plate. While my partner managed to finish the ribs, I was really struggling and only managed to eat one piece of the duck and a couple of gnocchi. Despite this, my plate looked like it was untouched and that I didn't like the food - having the soup starter was a big mistake for me. All the food together with 2 x 750ml of water and 2 Zywiecz wheat beers came to just 163.70 PLN (£35.38), so great value. Definitely recommend, but think carefully before having two courses!

Excellent Polish Food!

This restaurant was close to our hotel, Radisson Blu, and it was highly recommended by one of our tour guides to have a good Polish experience. There were 8 of us for dinner and the food was phenomenal. We loved everything. I had the best food I ate the entire time I was in Central Europe at this restaurant. My husband ordered a sampler platter and it was more than any two people could eat. The servings were large, the drinks were great, the service was wonderful. I loved this restaurant.

Good Polish Food

Great food at very reasonable prices. Huge portions of tasty food. We had on first visit huge pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes and mushrooms and cheese sauce with side salad as well as potato cakes with spinach and chantelle mushrooms. Today it was Polish soups to start with duck with cranberry and apple sauce and gnocchi as well as Polish dumplings. All very well cooked. On each occasion we have paid less than £25 with 2 drinks. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone

Very disappointing

Was looking forward to visit that place with kids after reading all the positive reviews. After arriving to the place was told that there is not a chance to get table with kids even though there was plenty of empty tables. The man at door was very arrogant and unprofessional! Working so many years in hospitality and know how the business works I m very shocked and disappointed how we were treated! Personally I wouldn’t recommend that place especially when you are coming with kids or larger group even if the menu is very tempting.

Lovely place, great meal

During a strawl in Krakau we found this nice restaurant. Had a comfortable seat in the back, cosy. Friendly staff, We had a glimpse at the menu, and decided to have the "crazy dish" , and another dish. The lady informed us the crazydush was BIG, so we decided to share. Good advice, a huge plate came with several meat varieties, some fries and salade. We both enjoyed it very much. Not sure about the expenses anymore, but for what we remember it was ver reasonable, especially for the quality and amount. Thank you!!!

Small friendly Restaurant

We went here last night on recommendation from my sister in law who had been here a few months back. We were shown to our table by pleasant friendly staff and given menus to look at. We received some bread with a homemade style chicken and beef style patty, the flavour of it was immense and very tasty. On studying the menu we saw various dishes of food being served, which all were very well presented and tasty looking. The dish that both me and my wife chose was the chicken breast roasted with garlic tomatoes and mozzarella served with French fries and salad. This was a very well presented dish with lots of flavour, I am a good eater but both my wife and I had to leave some food not because it was nice but because we were both full up. I would most certainly return here as I noticed that even a few of the locals eat there which is always a good sign 👍 Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Mushroom Pierogi are amazing

Two completely different dining experiences all in the same week. My first dining experience was - Wow! What a gem of a place. The second dining experience was – is this the same place we dined in the other night???? the service and attitude was so bad. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the street, but on the inside, particularly the lower level is beautifully decorated, the tables are beautifully set out with table clothes, candles, flowers & ambient lighting. The service in the lower level of the restaurant was efficient and friendly and it was just a lovely dining experience. We loved the first dining experience so much, we went back a few days later and were seated in the beer garden. The same menu, but the service was really sub-standard and disappointing. We did love the food menu and there was a large selection of menu items to choose from, including their award winning Mushroom Pierogi served with a delicious mushroom sauce. Nice range of deserts to finish off your meal. Extensive drinks menu. The waitstaff will either make or break your dining experience in this restaurant here, but the food is good and the meals are reasonably priced.

We were so pleased to find this restaurant right at the edge of the old town. We were attracted to it because on a Sunday evening the restaurant was full of many locals. Friendly service and the food was honest fare at a reasonable price. We thoroughly enjoyed our tuna steaks, perfectly done, which came with spinach and roast potatoes. My husband went for chocolate soufflé which was at it should be: gooey in the middle and crunchy on the outside. We were sitting in a place where food was being transported from the kitchen to the covered garden area and everything looked really good. We would happily go again.

We arrived at 8:30pm with no booking and they were happy to seat us with no mention of them closing at 10pm, happy to explain the menu to us, friendly staff great choices, two of us had starters, Bosch with ravioli and soup in bread, then we had the Schabowy in different variations.. oh my goodness they were delicious but honest 1 between 2 would have been plenty! Felt bad leaving so much food!.. I realised they closed at 10 so we finished up and paid our bill, equivalent of £56 for four of us including drinks (3 soft one alcohol) including g tip, they were still not pushing us out the door x you have to visit to have some of the tastiest food I have ever tasted!

Very poor reheated meal

On the basis of trip advisor reviews we went for supper this evening. I had the beef roulade and my wife had chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with spinach. The food appeared within 10 minutes from ordering: it was served on cold plates and clearly had been reheated in a microwave. There is no way it was cooked fresh. To compare: We had lunch in a small cafe in Kazimierze and this took around half an hour to prepare and was served freshly cooked on warm plates. Te The beer and wine and service were fine; food was awful.

First visit to a Polish restaurant. I love trying local food wherever we visit and this didn't disappoint, I had a pork chop dish and wife had potato pancakes with mushrooms etc. both excellent. good value bottle of wine also

Several years I was passing in front of this place and I have never tried. I was thinking that is quite touristic, but even if it is...the places worths a visit. Very good food, super clean place and a big and nice decorated basement. Price: 3 soups, 3 main dishes one of them was ribs in honey sauce and was delicious and 3 beers for 136 pln. Affordable for city centre Quantity&quality: quite big portions with side dish in the price and very good quality. Service: polite and fast.

Lovely meal

After a recommendation from a lovely lady on the plane, we ambled down the cobbled streets to this place on a warm summers day. Pleasantly surprised as the meal was fabulous, portions were huge and the farmers cheese with fresh bread was a childhood favourite. We had potato pancakes with mushroom sauce and my oh schabowy with cheese and mushrooms. It was all so delicious.will definetly return.

Amazing Polish restaurant

The food was simply amazing - very very delicious. It really left me with a positive impression of Polish cuisine. We tried Cracow style soup with sausages and Beef Stew with Potato pancakes. Both dishes were incredible and I recommend them. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice. I'd love to go back there and try more Polish dishes!

Tasty food in big portions

A modern styled Polish family restaurant across the opera. Food is quite tasty and comes in huge portions, beware if you're on a diet. Service provided by the staff was friendly and speedy. It has a pleasant atmosphere but it can be noisy due to it being completely full. Recommended.
