We never got there. When we came across it on trip adviser on line we decided to book it there and then. The. Restaurant would not answer our calls or e-mails. Our hotel receptionist went in person to book for us. There was no fine...dining or lovely restaurant that trip adviser told us about. When we turned up and saw what was on offer we left. Totally disappointed as we were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary and really looking forward to our lovely meal. Thankfully we did manage to find another restaurant with a free table, but, not what we were looking forward to.More

Great location on the main square. Had to wait a little while for our pizzas, however they were good. Service reasonable.

Visiting Krakow leaves you with the paradox of choice, or in other words choice overload. You kind of find one place that you like and keep going there to keep life simple. My partner and I went to a number of different places which were...all great but ended up being drawn back to Wentzl. Why? Well first and foremost the staff are so friendly and accommodating even under the stress of a full house and the midday sun but also because the food is good and reasonably priced. The location on the square means you can sit still and watch the world pass you by with a cold beer and in the shade of a large umbrella. If that sounds appealing then go give it a try.More

This was one of the best food experiences of our lives. It compares favorably to many of the top restaurants we have been to all over the world. The table service is simply impeccable (white gloves, hooray!). The wine list is extensive and pairs beautifully...to the food. We highly recommend the 6-course food and wine pairing. The chef is inventive and whimsical, putting delightfully surprising twists on food to amaze your mouth (sturgeon with sweet crispy sauerkraut, wow! Or his duck with cherry sauce, also amazing. And the little oxtail ragout dumplings in broth, yum!). This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path but beautifully decorated. We couldn't understand why it was lightly attended while the much less impressive Szary Ges was packed, at the same price level. (Which for an American is less than a dinner at a normal USA chain restaurant.) This really is a must-try; in my opinion, the best restaurant in Krakow, especially when one considers that the food AND service are both spectacularMore

I had a 6 course testing menu last night with wine parring. All I can say it’s an amazing experience. Food itself was absolutely mind blowing , wine was matched absolutely perfectly and completed each course . The best thing about it was the service.... Person serving us ( I think his name was Lukasz ) new absolutely everything about each dish and wine we were served. It was as well as tasty dinner fantastic lesson about food and wine . Service was 10/10 pure class and elegance . The bill 780pln and I think it great value for money considering we had 6 top courses and 4 large glasses of fine wine . Highly recommend this place and for sure will be coming back for more . Thank youMore

This is a must for any trip to Krakow. The lamb and duck were excellent!! Our servers were on top of every part of the experience: from seating through dessert. As a great addition, there was a piano player providing perfect background ambiance.

There's no denying that they serve excellent quality food here. Tasty starters and a delicious main dish. The atmosphere of this place is very encouraging to spend a long time here and that is why we chose it as the place of our festive dinner...to close our stay in Krakow. It's worth to come in if you want to taste Polish cuisine, and you haven't had to deal with it before. Krakow certainly has a very wide range of original, regional flavors to offer. A good place to find out about it.More

This is the most beautiful restaurant room in Kraków. An ambitious menu with well cooked traditional international food with some local touches. OK selection of wines. Seems slightly understaffed so some waiting is to be expected. However, good value for money.

This restaurant was recommended to me and my partner by a colleague who is actually from Kraków. Atmosphere... The restaurant was very quiet, we couldn’t hear any music playing. We didn’t quite need to whisper, although we weren’t going to be particularly raucous either. Decor......One word - yellow. I’m not this biggest fan of the colour however the chandeliers and candelabras were very impressive and I appreciated my surroundings. I felt like I was in for a treat. Drinks... My partner managed to order two drinks on the complete opposite end of the scale - one tasted like petrol and the other (which was supposed to be orange vodka and lemonade) was just orange juice. I was luckier with my Hendricks and tonic, unfortunately it did not arrive with cucumber. Service... At this style of restaurant I would expect the service to be super slick and things like empty wine glasses and bottles to be removed from the table. However those fine details were missing. Bright blue nail varnish on one waitress also stood out from the smart turnout of the waiting staff. All the staff were very polite and helpful and I could not make one negative comment about their manners. Food... We opted for the tasting menu as all the dishes were appealing. The bread selection could have done with being warm. As we went through our six courses there were lots of different interesting flavour combinations, all of which I fully enjoyed. The dishes were a great size too. Strangely both the fish and main course were not as advertised on the menu. They were completely different dishes. This is something I feel we should have been advised about before opting for this menu. They were enjoyable dishes, just not what we ordered!! We were happy with what we paid for our meal. The quality of the food was certainly worth the amount charged. Similarly, the drinks were not overpriced either. An enjoyable dinner out.More
