I went about a month ago with a friend. Amazing food and service. We had a waitress called Magdalena, she was really attentive and helped us choose a Polish vodka to have with our herring (which we learnt was traditional) and almost convinced us that...vodka is nice, an impressive feat. She was also very patient with us even though we arrived quite late and kept asking loads of questions about Polish food. It was raining heavily that evening and there was a small water leak, which Magdalena apologised about but more impressively managed to navigate without slipping up, like a lightfooted ninja. Great staff, great place, would recommend. Thanks Magdalena!More

I've visited this restaurant with my partner as we wished to try traditional Polish cuisine. I can definitely say it was worth it. The service was 5 stars, and the food was amazing! If coming back to Krakow, we would definitely return!

I have been privileged to enjoy some outstanding food in my life. This restaurant is up there with La Pepica, Torre D’Alta Mar and every restaurant in Bologna !

I was excited to dine here based on the reviews but left feeling a bit disappointed. It felt like a bit of an overpriced tourist trap. During my stay in Krakow I had much better food at a fraction of the price away from the...main square. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was beautifully presented but the taste was average I'm afraid.More

We stumbled upon this historic venue while attempting to get into another restaurant that was full. We managed to sneak in without a reservation and were greeted with the most unexpected, beautiful venue, a sensational menu filled with traditional offerings and good service. I had...the wild boar which was not really to my liking but hey, live and learn. The other food was great.More

The food here was delicious and really well priced!! We had three courses, and everything we ate had so much flavor. The apple pie was amazing! The decor of the place is lovely and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English.

Food was extremely tasty. Unique menu and very flavoursome. I had the Steak which was cooked exactly to my liking and well seasoned and my wife had the Pork Shashlik which was also very good. Great atmosphere and quirky Krakow style. Would recommend a visit...to this restaurant whilst in Krakow. We will certainly come here again.More

This restaurant was recommended by my touristic book. I did not spend a particularly good moment. If the service was accommodant the food was not tasty. Meat clearly below expectations and the vegetables with no flavour. Further looks like a tourist trap, since the price...is clearly not cheap.More

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for visiting Pod Aniołami Restaurant. So sorry that our food did not live up to expectations. The restaurant has been open continuously for 20 years, we welcomed many Guests, we are never famous for food that is not good....More

We chose this restaurant as it was close to our accommodation and they had a tasting menu with wine, however it’s a rustic polish tasting menu not a gourmet dining experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the wine a great authentic Polish restaurant with great...service and atmosphere.More

Restaurant Pod Aniolami offers authentic, historically accurate (and tasty) Polish foods. Thankfully, they also offer a set of various tasting menus. We found Pod Aniolami while researching prior to our trip - what a gem!! We had the 60Euro (approx) tasting menu, with a preprandial...glass of Champagne and six exquisite samples, from two cold starters, one hot starter, borscht, a main course, and pudding before capping dinner off with a small digestif. The cold starters were a sample of Polish highlanders' smoked sheeps cheese with a macerated prune and goose breast carpaccio, followed by three pierogis, a cup of borscht, and our choice of two entrees - we chose the wild boar in juniper marinade, grilled and served with juniper sauce, grilled potatoes, and red cabbage. The attentive server smilingly agreed to our request to swap the dessert with a piece of their apple tart - so much deliciousness!! Not only is the food fantastic, the restaurant has an intriguing collection of antique Polish cookbooks. Give Restaurant Pod Aniolami a try (and make a booking, they can get busy) - you won't be disappointed!!More
