About
Restaurant Pod Aniolami - Under the Angels" is an extraordinary place. Some people say there are indeed angels in its Gothic cellars... The Restaurant, a laureate of many 1 st awards and distinctions, invites you to original, unforgettable and unique banquets. The place is far-famed for its marinated meats, grilled over beech hardwood fire and other old Polish dishes. The restaurant's historical 13th century interiors and brilliant cuisine based on Polish culinary traditions will make you soak up the atmosphere of the Medieval Kings' City of Cracow. At "Under the Angels" time stood still and one can still find the ambience of old Cracow here. Beautiful interiors and excellent cuisine attract

A group of 14 of us learned how to make these filling and delectable potato masterpieces that was fun, educational and so yummy. We had such a great time we went back for dinner and that was fantastic.

An amazing building, hidden from the main street by an unassuming doorway. Great character of a place, with interesting décor and paintings. Service was excellent and the food divine. Highly recommend and best to book.

This restaurant used to be excellent. Unfortunately my last experience this month was bad: very poor service and more than average food at exorbitant prices. Pity as his was one of the nicest restaurants in Krakow.

Picked this place in Krakow as it sold wild boar. Came and had a look at the restaurant and it looked great so we decided to go. Had to book a day in advance but it was well worth the wait. The restaurant is set...in a old covered courtyard with a massive open cooking fire. I had the Polish rye soup to start and the wild boar for mains and it was so good, perfectly cooked with amazing flavours. Partner had the sheep's cheese starter followed by the salmon which was equally as good. Excellent wine menu, good taster menus, great service and a lovely atmosphere made for a great night and meal. Highly recommend this placeMore

We came here as my partner wanted to eat wild boar whilst in Krakow, we tried to get a table on Saturday by they were full so booked for the Sunday. The food was excellent, I had the Salmon which was perfectly cooked and so...flavour some, the smoked cheese and cranberries equally so. The service was excellent and the food great value for money. Would highly recommend and suggest booking as they were turning people away on Sunday too.More

Having been here many times over the years pre covid we were looking forward to our visit which we had recommended to our family. Appalled at the service; a group of young staff who (with the exception of one lady who did her best On...her own) were disinterested in serving anyone. Over half an hour to serve three beers despite at least three reminders. Staff snogging in basement. So disappointing. Food was actually good. It was the lousy service that really ruined our evening.More

Took my father for a meal whilst visiting Krakow and it lived up to its reviews. Although they had a large party the night we visited the service was attentive and food amazing. It’s a meal we will remember for a long time. If in...Krakow you must visit and we recommend the pierogi and apple pie!More

Our first night in Krakow and we visited this restaurant for a fabulous meal. The grilled duck over baked apple with cranberries was sensational. My wife, who must have gluten-free cuisine, had a grilled sirloin with rosemary, grilled potato with dill butter and zucchini. Grilled...to perfection. Our waitress and the chef made for a memorable evening. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.More

We went to this restaurant 28/03/2022 for a traditional polish meal experience and I cannot speak highly enough of this place. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Although the menu had items for vegetarians there was not much for vegans...but that did not stop the restaurant making a custom meal for my daughter who is vegan. I had the traditional meat dumplings, beetroot soup and spinach with garlic and to be honest was the best meal I had in Krakow. It was my birthday that evening and the lovely waiter brought my cinnamon apple pie over with a candle and even sang Happy Birthday. If you want a traditional polish meal in a friendly, welcoming environment I strongly suggest you give this restaurant a try, they will go out of their way to make your evening special.More

We were welcomed and shown to our table by charming staff. Seated downstairs in the cellar which is eclectic and historic. Food great, I highly recommend the mushroom and cabbage dumplings.

We were tired having flown into Krakow that morning. Deciding to visit the old town and seek out trading Polish food we were recommended this restaurant by the owner of the B&B we were staying. What a beautiful place, quite easy to miss as it...is unassuming on the main street. The decor is warm, traditional and comfortable. The service is fabulous. The beer is brilliant. How ever the food surpassed all expectations- fantastic. We sampled the dumplings and then Liz had the Bigos and I had the blood sauasge..... very very nice. The bill was very reasonable and now the benchmark has been set. Thank you.More

A place with an old spirit which is upheld thanks to the interior. We had a lovely late lunch (vegetarian Polish stuffed cabbage rolls) and ( Veal chops with bone and potatoes) which were delicious. However, the real star of the menu is their home...made apple pie :)More
