I booked this restaurant for my 40th Birthday meal when visiting Krakow, we had the best time. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Magdalena helped arrange everything, from flowers on the table, to Champagne on arrival. The service from the two male...waiters, was exceptional. The boar dumpling starter were amazing and the mint chocolate cheesecake was so nice. We ended the meal with a vodka paddle recommended by Valdick, this was a fun end to a good meal. Very clean restaurant and good service from friendly staff. I would recommend this restaurant to every visiting Krakow who is after traditional Polish food.More

We were recommended to go to the restaurant by our host, so we decided to try it. On arrival we were asked if we had booked and thought that there wouldn't be room but we were given a table tucked in a corner so thought...we were lucky. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and there were many different historical pictures and artifacts hanging on the walls. The food was good and my friends really enjoyed what they had.More

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we wandered the streets of Krakow. The two delightful men who served us Vladik and Tleksey were so friendly, taking great pride in explaining the history of the photographs on all the walls. My husband's (not so) Irish Coffees...with Kaluha and Brandy were exceptional as I enjoyed the wine. We sat at the bar and the food I ordered was excellent. The Vodka tasting was great fun and we had a terrific evening. Thank you, we will be back!More

When we walked in it was empty as well. We had as a starter pierogi which were really boring in taste and too price for 6 pieces / size in our opinion. As main we had the beef cheeks - which were super tender but...really boring in taste. It was good but tasteless in our opinionMore

Arrived at our hotel next to this little gem very late so didnt sit down u til gone 9PM. There was nobody else in there at the time but the staff were more than accommodating. It is lovely and clean with a nice cosy atmosphere....My partner went for the BBQ pork ribs with chips and cabbage which he absolutely devoured and I went for the vegetarian spinach and buckwheat pancakes with salad after reading the reviews on here and I was certainly not disappointed! Lovely food and good service which made our first impressions of Krakow very good! Would definitely come back, the menu looked lovely and was very fairly priced.More

I would like to underline all the negative points of our dinner. We booked at the end of November, we send the payment of 13 euros and over the phone someone of you told me it was to block the table so we thought it...was going to be part of the bill at the end of the dinner and was not... 13 euros for bookin fee, really?? We arrived and we had the last table, next to the kitchen and the bathroom and next to all the tables with groups. I ask a lady to talk to the manager if it was possible to have a better table and no one came (even the manager) to ask if there was any problem or to try to resolve my request. So the point to pay in advance is just to have a ‘welcome glass of Prosecco???’’ It is not working like this guys, I was so nervous yesterday because of your rudeness, I spent the last night in 2019 in bad way I could imagine.More

Dear Simona, We are very sorry that you are not completely satisfied with your dinner in our restaurant. Unfortunately, on day like a New Year's Eve our restaurant is fully booked, so we charge a table fee. In the email correspondence we sent you all...More

First evening in Kraków. Stopped by after checking the TripAdvisor reviews. Ordered the dumplings, polish soup, rabbit tight, beef cheek, chocolate cake, apple pie rinsed with a superb Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia. I wish I could be this full and satisfied every time I pay...50 euros for dinner. Will be back to try the other dishes.More

This place is a little off the main square in the old town but should definitely be rated higher than #93 on trip adviser!! The food is delicious! (i’m writing this whilst i sit in the restaurant). The restaurant is not full at 20:00 on...a saturday, but should be! The portions are generous and the food is cooked perfectly. The prices are cheaper than restaurants around the square, as expected. I think the only reason its not rated higher is because not enough people have discovered it. Keep up the good work guys!More

We were booked into another restaurant but when we entered it the atmosphere was so bad and there were so few people in it we made a hasty retreat. We walked around and found Kawaleria and lucky were able to get a table straight away....There is a smaller front area which is more cosy and a larger area for groups and overflow diners. It has a warm cosy atmosphere and dimmed lighting. The service was warm and friendly. The menu has a number of traditional options and two of us had the wild boar third the whole trout. The wild boar was tender and delicious and quite substantial and was consumed with complete satisfaction. The trout was a great success too! We ordered desserts and enjoyed these too. The eatery is well priced and I would definitely recommend it.More

No booking was necessary but it will depend on how busy the place is. Booking is possible so it might be sensible to pre-arrange a table just to be certain. Like most places last orders tend to be circa 10pm
