Walked past the food processor and declined, glanced at the food in the outdoor dining area and turned back. Didn't see any free tables and thought this will take a while. We get to accompany the waitress downstairs. And another and another half-stair down. Such a freaking cool place way below ground. Literally sat in the wine cellar. Quick service, the food arrived quickly. My food was overpriced, even though it was good ingredients. I took pasta with spinach, wine and giant prawns (5 pcs) for PLN 55/SEK 150 The partner took the capricciosa which was very good. Took coke zero (seems to be hard to find in Poland?) and a Hugo, partner took a draft beer. Extra thanks to the staff: Forgot my bag of Christmas balls under the table when we left. Left there and called a taxi that was on its way, then I realized I forgot the stuff, ran back and got help from the staff to get the things back to quickly run two blocks to the taxi.

Boscalola Pizza Restaurant

When we are abroad we always try out an Italian restaurant for pizza 🍕. Krakow is no exception so we went to Boscaiola. Service was relatively quick, we ordered the Focaccia with garlic and Bruschetta with tomatoes to start with. And yes it was delicious. For mains a PARMA and QUATTRO STAGIONI pizzas were ordered, again all very nice. We would have given a 5 star rating but dropped to 4 because we ordered some rosemary potatoes but they never appeared so I’m guessing that the order was lost in translation (they didn’t appear on the bill anyway). The Italian we went to in Amsterdam is still our to choice though followed by Rome

Visited Boscaiola as we fancied an Italian, this was top recommended on Google and we can totally see why! The service was brilliant and food was fantastic - definitely recommend the Boscaiola pizza and the tiramisu was delicious, so light and creamy. Really nice vibe in the restaurant, quiet but still had a ‘buzz’. We each had 2 courses and an alcoholic drink, plus limoncello to finish and it came to GBP50.00. Absolutely cannot fault it and would recommend to anyone looking for an Italian meal in Krakow.

We visited this restaurant yesterday with great expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered a starter skewer that wasn't good at all. Then we ordered pasta for four and a pizza. Pizza was mediocre, with York ham instead of prociutto, and pasta was nothing otherworldly. Worst of all was when the waiter told us that “in Krakow it’s typical to have a shot with dinner”, and asked if we wanted it at that time or at the end of dinner. We thought it was a courtesy of the restaurant and, not to look bad, we accepted it, even my children, who do not like alcohol. To our surprise, they included it in the final account at 7 euros each shot. An amazing scam and scam! Although we protested upon receipt of the bill, they ignored our complaints. It is clear that we were taken advantage of as tourists. We arrived in Krakow from Budapest, where in a restaurant we were invited to shots and, of course, they were free. The waiter, a bald and rather large person, got nasty and cool during our protests. Intolerable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We visited this restaurant after a long day of travelling. My partner had ordered a cheeseburger which came charred and burnt. I had ordered a lasagne which was okay, but not something I would try again. Apart from this, the service and vibe of the restaurant was amazing. The staff were very attentive and catered to our needs

This started quite promising. The starter and main course were served promptly and were reasonably tasty dishes. However, for some reason the staff just seemed to get confused and after a long delay we had to ask for the desert menu, only for the staff to get the order wrong. It seemed like we had been forgotten about. Overall, we didn’t quite feel welcome and the food was okay, but not brilliant. There’s definitely better Italian restaurants nearby in Krakow. I recommend you try one of those instead.

Decent food, service could have been better

Visited here as fancied an Italian while visiting Karkow. Lovely surrounding however, despite booking ahead, we were given a table downstairs which looked like the basement area. Was nice enough but would have preferred upstairs in the main area which was more lively. Food was decent enough but more sauce would have been appreciated. The service was okay to begin with however our server never returned to ask how our food was and if we needed more drinks. I was left without a drink for the last half hour of our meal and there was no one around to ask for more drinks.

We hadn’t booked on a Friday evening yet the front of house was very polite and friendly and requested we returned in an hour which we did. We were seated straight away and the attentiveness of the waiter was wonderful. He recommended wine and discussed our preferences when we hadn’t tried certain ones before, very knowledgable. There were six of us which sometimes can be an issue but not here. All our starters, mains and desserts came out the same time. I had the garlic and prawn pasta which was alright, however I did wish I had picked something with a little more flavour. Apart from that I cannot fault the service, restaurant, food or drink. The staff made our visit a lovely experience and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian cuisine. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Brilliant Italian

Excellent authentic Italian. We went here just a couple of days ago and had the best meal of our 5 day holiday here (which is saying something as we didn't have a meal that was worse than a 8/10). I got Carbonara and my partner went for the Salmon Tagliatelle. Both meals were really tasty and filling, we barely were able to finish them. Alongside a couple of drinks, the price was very respectable being less than £30.00. Would definitely recommend adding this restaurant to your dinner plans.

We originally tried to book months in advance RISTORANTE SANT'ANTIOCO, however no one got back to me so we booked here. I’m so sorry we even contemplated going to the first restaurant as this one was so special and memorable. We were took downstairs to our table, I was a bit apprehensive as I thought we’d be forgotten on a lower level and out of the main ambiance of the restaurant. I was so wrong. Downstairs is breathtakingly stunning! It’s like an underground cave but something you’d find in southern Italy or Greece however in Krakow! Service is very professional and swift. Food was unbelievable. The tartare starter and goats cheese were to die for. Followed by a tasty lasagna (unusually presented I may add but tasty) and burrata pasta. And of course it had to be finished by a tiramisu. Great selection on the wine list too.

Urgent renovation needed!

We went to the restaurant after reading positive reviews. After being shown a seat at the table by a nice waitress, we placed our order and could admire the restaurant's decor. Unfortunately, the appearance of the old, dirty and worn-out seating areas was disappointing. The interior also requires thorough refreshing and cleaning. The location of the premises near the market square obliges to maintain a higher standard. The food was amazing and not worth the price. I do not recommend.

I reserved a 9:30pm table at Mamma Mia for my partners birthday , 3 weeks prior. When we arrived they were ‘closing early’ (why didn’t they contact us earlier to let us know is unknown to me). A man who I assume was the manager , told us that he would book us a table at Boscaiola , their sister restaurant. So we headed there straight away. When we arrived we was told we had to order straight away as they were also closing, we was not allowed an extra 2 minutes to decide. We were also told that our starters and mains would all come out at the same time. We ordered 4 dishes (2 starters , 2 mains) , only 1 starter came out, 2 minutes later our mains followed and we felt like we were being watched throughout the entire meal to hurry up. Food was nice but we would avoid , rude and incompetent staff.

I had an amazing meal The pasta was fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with authentic Italian flavors. The pizza was equally fantastic – crispy crust and rich toppings. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving real Italian cuisine!

Pre-pandemic we had a lovely experience here, good food and service. We were looking forward to returning and didn’t check current reviews. Our experience was completely different this time and we didn’t enjoy our visit. Ordered soup which was only warm and portion size was very small and served in a very shallow dish that the spoon could rest in the bottom and soup didn’t cover it. Service wasn’t very friendly, we won’t return on our next trip. Plenty of other good restaurants serving better food and more reasonably priced.
