Krakowskie Planty: a unique city garden that surrounds the oldest part of Krakow. Planty was planted with trees, dominated by chestnut trees. Today, the alleys of Planty are a perfect resting place for a tourist tired of sightseeing, and is looking for a unique place...to have lunch or dinner as Kompania Kuflowa is not to be missed. We have personally walked by a thousand times and always said: 'We have to come here for lunch some day" but we always put it off. However, today was the day. After spending a beautiful couple of hours in the Wolski forest just outside the city, we came across a picture from 2021 which we had saved with a list of restaurants that had been, in some way, singled out positively in a review. This place was on the list, and we saw that as a sign. We had never thought that the restaurant was so big and retro with a great atmosphere, friendly and well-organized staff, and a nice meal. Definitely a place worth the visit. We will visit again. Awesome for large groups as well.More

We had a really good experience here. We were recommended it by a local guide. Two of us had the schnitzel and two had steaks and everyone was pleased with their meal. Complimentary starter to try with pickled cabbage. We enjoyed the experience. Cherry shots...as well to finish off!More

Currently sat in this restaurant, we wanted to try some polish food, we ordered pierogies as we really wanted to try them but they had non available , I tried to order a main meal but again they didn't have any available , we also...wanted to try oysters as again we have never tried them and guess what ? They didn't have any 😩 my meal was dry and the mash had a skin on it , we had no time between the starter and the main meal. Oh and the chicken soup was bland. Maybe the locals might think differently or I'm just a moan but wouldn't recommend.More

A great place for a group of friends to go out for a wonderful Polish meal! Two of us had special dietary requirements (gluten-free & dairy free). Although they couldn’t guarantee a gluten-free kitchen, they helped us to navigate the menu and asked the chef...what the best option for us would be. Try: - the lamb sausage - homemade lemonade it’s FANTASTIC! We came back for a second time because combination of food, atmosphere and ambiance was wonderful. Although it’s in the main square the prices were competitive.More

Fast service, massive portions and reasonable prices. Their outdoor area is lovely. Perfect place for a family dinner after a trip to Wawel.

Should be easy going, often is, but equally prone to melt-downs. Our lovely but clearly inexperienced waitress got swamped on a friday night service and - as it is way too often in a places like this - rest of the staff failed to help...her. Result - missing plates, wrong articles on the bill, waiting nearly an hour after eating. So why bother?More

Cold meat and sasages, because we were with 12 people 10% was added to the bill. 7 or less people do not get extra charge. Ordered dumplings with meat, received different dumplings.

There’s bunch of great things about this restaurant. Location (just by the Wawel Castle). Space (lots of tables indoors and outdoors, it’s great for bigger groups). Staff (very helpful and friendly). FOOD (probably the best beef tartare in the city, good żurek, delicious pierogies). Drinks...(lemonade, beer and extra after meal cherry liquor shots). Decor. Waiting time may be on the longer side, but it’s worth it. It wasn’t my first visit and definitely it the last one. Keep it on!More

I have to admit I often heard good things about this place but it was just recently when we decided to go. It was a great decision! The atmosphere is very lively and local, the service is very good and humorous, the food was very...tasty but the thing that totally got me was the outstanding play ground for the kids. They even have their own ball pit! My kids loved it! Next time in Kraków we will be back!More

I liked this place very much. Delicious food, nice beer, good service. I can recommend One dish: duck breast with grilled vegetables and cabbage. Pirogi are very delicious too.

All we wanted was a light lunch on a blistering summer day. Michael served us with close attention and smilingly helpfully. Meanwhile local trad musical performances went in behind us. Food was perfect and exactly what we needed - despite the menu offering much more.

Stopped by for a few beers, they offer good selection of local and other Central European brews. Large pints and good taste, when sitting in outdoor section facing Wawel castle is a main draw, yet food they offer looks pretty decent as well, may be...a worth a visit to sample it next time.More
