My girlfriend and I had a lunch at Zakładka and we had some expectations. Generally, it was quite ok (the snails and the frog were good, sauce was great!)
Service was professional, we appreciate to have many types of bread and also a surprise before...our starters which was delicious!
But 2 weak points :
- the white wine wasn't cold enough to have an optimal experience
- unfortunately, when we ordered the meat, we weren't asked to choose how our it would be done (medium rare, rare, etc...) and also the fries weren't homemade which in such a restaurant was a disappointment.
I can recommend for the experience. However not totally due to the explanation above.More

This place in in michelin guide 2019,there are a lot of interesting positions in the menu, staff is friendly and order was prepared quickly.Prices are slowly high, for main dishes. Also i have noticed here very good wine card.I will visit this place to try wine.
At the end of the millenium footbridge on the opposite bank to the Jewish quarter, we called in to this French-Polish-fusion restaurant on spec. We had a three-course eclectic meal, with wine, for two for less than £45. The French onion soup was a meal...in itself, let alone the tasty fusion chicken-based main course. Every dish was a delight. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambience was warm and friendly on a cold February night.More
Extremely disappointing service & food !!!
Staff is stuck up .. don’t care if you have an issue.
Long story short. Our table orders two of the same dishes. Once piece of meat has about 70% lard fat and veins and basically no meat. Waiter...is so where in site.. and doesn’t once come and ask if everything is ok .. ( which would have avoided this entire situation ) so husband eats whats edible because he’s hungry !!!!
Once waiter comes by and asks if we want the bill I mention that there was a problem with the dish ..
he’s surprised I dare to speak
“ but the meat is fatty “
Yes but not 70% of it !!!!!!! Huge fat lard on our plate
He comes back with the bill. ZERO “ I’m sorry” nothing .... 😹
... I try and sort this out by msg them on fb. A week goes by and they don’t bother getting back to me. After a few more messages .. I got offered coffee NEXT time. Yes because there will be a next time 🤷♀️More
A short walk from our hotel, we liked the look of this place and gave it a try. I’m really pleased we did - amazing food, great service and prices not much higher than many British chain outlets. Not one to be missed.
Went there by chance and we don’t regret it. Food was great and service attentive in a nice bistrot setting. Best Pirogi dish ever tried and the desserts are awesome. We all (we are 5 in the family) loved our choices. Just across the river...a nice walk from Kazimierz.More
Classy ambience, very nice service and outstanding food - that’s what I can say about this place. The tartar for starter was amazing, and the portion was big. Wild boar neck was also very good. Other guys took pork cutlet or duck and were satisfied...as well. For dessert chocolate cake with ice cream was great, but if you are almost full, you can take small cream brulee. It’s a shame that Michelin star restaurant has such a low rating, perhaps the reason is that it’s a bit outside of city center, and mire famous among locals, who don’t write review. In my view it definitely worth a walk or Uber ride!More
