A great restaurant for French food with modest prices for the food, however found some of the bottled wine quite expensive.
We were looked after excellently by the staff who were friendly, gave advice when asked for it and who were very attentive.
My personal favourite: The beefsteak tartar! Would come back when next time visiting Krakow.

A short walk from our hotel, we liked the look of this place and gave it a try. I’m really pleased we did - amazing food, great service and prices not much higher than many British chain outlets. Not one to be missed.

My girlfriend and I had a lunch at Zakładka and we had some expectations. Generally, it was quite ok (the snails and the frog were good, sauce was great!)
Service was professional, we appreciate to have many types of bread and also a surprise before our starters which was delicious!
But 2 weak points :
- the white wine wasn't cold enough to have an optimal experience
- unfortunately, when we ordered the meat, we weren't asked to choose how our it would be done (medium rare, rare, etc...) and also the fries weren't homemade which in such a restaurant was a disappointment.
I can recommend for the experience. However not totally due to the explanation above.

We had the two vegetable starters, the snails, salmon and beef tongues. The chef must hav spender 1 kilo of butter and oil on all these dishes. I Dont remember having more oily think sauce in a restaurant. On the plus side was the cocking of the salmon and of the tongues, even if the tongues were overcooked.
The rest were disappointing as we chose the place cause it was on the Michelin list. Atmosphere was next to nothing. Like sitting at a canteen of a French sanatorium of the 30’s playing restaurant bootlegged dance music.
The price was too high for what they offered. I would go again there.

Terrible experience, i can’t understand how this restaurant is part of Michelin guide. The food was burnt, they served us the wrong dish, charged us for it and then cancelled the service on a wrong card. The waitress was so rude and mad at us when we tried to explain what was wrong. Don’t waist your money or time. A burgerking would be better.

Really disappointed
The experience was overall really poor, as we sat down waiter was rude and immediately tried to upset me on the wine, when I refused he was dismissive for the rest of the conversation. He asked if we wanted complimentary bread and I declined but a few minutes later brought it anyway. We ordered ravioli, salad and snails, salad was nice but the ravioli was swimming in what looked and tasted like just oil and the inside was grainy and unpleasant. The waiter did not come and check on us during the meal and seemed to deliberately avoid us because we were clearly not eating a lot

We discovered this little restaurant by chance. A nice surprise on the other side of the Vistula, less touristy. A quiet place where you can hear each other at the table without shouting, the service is very pleasant and the dishes ordered were perfect. It is an ideal restaurant for a quiet family dinner or a business lunch. I recommend!

Cant figure out how this restaurant possibly was given a Michelin star. All of our main courses were tough, or salty or not properly prepared or cooked. The wait staff only came by after we finished our meal. Long and short- there are many fabulous restaurants in Krakow, this is not one of them

Located near the walkway, between the former Ghetto and the Jewish quarter, restaurant with the decor of Parisian brasserie , quite any atmosphere .The service is professional, without more . Some dishes are minimalist (example: 2 poor boar squirrels ). We are surprised at its fame and its ranking in the Michelin guide, compared to other places.

I recently dined at Zakładka in Kraków and had a wonderful experience. My dinner was simple and modest, yet incredibly enjoyable.
The staff at Zakładka were very friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Despite the modesty of my meal, everything was top-notch, and I am eager to return to explore more of their French-inspired menu.
I wholeheartedly recommend Zakładka to anyone seeking simple yet delicious dining in Kraków!

The location is perfect to cross the Vistula River while walking around Kazimierz and grab a quick lunch. The food was phenomenal. We received the dishes very quickly. The service is also a big plus.

We were invited for a dinner by our Cracow friends. Very high quality of food and wine, friendly and competent service, tasty, variety and uncommoon (in good sense) food. We only lack a car park, but its Cracow city center

We, as a two couple group, had a wonderful meal here. The restaurant is very tastefully furnished and has a lovely ambiance. The member of staff who served us was fabulous! She was so helpful and just delightful! We were celebrating a birthday in our group and she helped make it special. The food was astonishingly good! Clever, simple dishes, beautifully prepared with quality ingredients. Amazingly good value for the quality of food and excellent service. Thank you for a lovely evening.

An extraordinarily nice dinner at a reasonable price. Tasty Borscht, nice duckpate and Cod's back as a main course. Very well prepared, tastefully presented and affordable.

Went there by chance and we don’t regret it. Food was great and service attentive in a nice bistrot setting. Best Pirogi dish ever tried and the desserts are awesome. We all (we are 5 in the family) loved our choices. Just across the river a nice walk from Kazimierz.
