We booked this restaurant in advance as we were travelling in a group of 12, made up of three families. This restaurant had been recommended to me by a friend.
We had a fabulous evening here. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great and the food was fabulous.
We would definitely return here to eat if we are back in Krakow again.

A 20 min walk from the Wawel Castle takes you to the heart of Kazimierz, the former Jewish part of Krakow.
The restaurant is surprisingly large, laying between 2 streets, so you have a choice of both indoor and outdoor options.
The inner garden is very accomodating and takes you to a kind of Morrocan environment.
Both the service and the food are great; though there are not on the menu, they serve also beer, wine and cocktails.
The prices are average to high, for a two course lunch expect to pay about 80PLN/person.
Do not miss the 'bedouin coffee', i.e. a very good, spiced arabic coffee.

We called in just because we liked the look of it from outside, and so glad we did. The food was absoutely delicious, I had a beetroot salad which was huge, contained walnuts, goats cheese and the dressing was lovely. My husband had chicken kebab which he said was excellent. The mezze looked fantastic when it was served at the next table and the draft beer was very good too. Highly recommended.

I had been quite excited with this restaurant before visiting Krakow, as I had thought I could taste some authentic Ashkenazi cuisine. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations.
Aesthetically, food looked beautiful - we tasted a few dishes just to formulate a better opinion.
However, in our mezze, one could find pickled cucumber, despite the fact that this is a Jewish restaurant!
Falafels were monotonous in taste, again flavoured with pesto (Italian element). Other dishes were seasoned with miso (Japanese element), whilst bread pitas looked more like greek pitas rather than traditional Jewish bread. The lack of salt (apart from the pitas) was more than noticeable and the service was rather slow. Finally, the beer was served almost in room temperature, giving the final blow to a mediocre evening.
Given all these, I found it quite overpriced, too.
All in all, it is not so bad a restaurant for someone who wants a bit of middle eastern flavour fused with other elements; nothing special or rememberable, though.

Hamsa was located a 5 minute walk from our hotel and on checking their menu we thought that eating there would be a good change from Italian. We had their hummus, babaganoush and felafel accompanied by fresh hot flat bread. The hummus and babaaganoush were average however the felafel were pretty ordinary. We eat at a local Lebanese restaurant in Sydney that offers fantastic hummus and felafel. Disappointing!

We had a lovely experience here 5 of us had the full Meze and one had a lamb dish everything was beautifully presented and tasted great.
The restaurant is made up of lots of lovely rooms and the one we sat in was very beautiful.
A very reasonable price for 6 people I would highly recommend this place

A quirky building always helps and a tagline of Hummus & Happiness sets a good tone.
Mixed meze starter was not only delicious but presented so well it looked delicious before it went in your mouth.
Chicken tagine was perfect for a cold evening and dessert, from a limited selection, was again well presented and very fresh and tasty.
The food is very, very good and definitely worth being slightly expensive compared to other options in Krakow. Service not up to the quality of the food though (we were in the upstairs room) zero enthusiasm and would benefit from giving a few more smiles.

The menu might not be a long one but depending on your need, specially if you have a special diet, you will find something to order. We ordered a main dish for two with plums and lamb, first I should mention that the food arrived very fast and that was a big plus because we were super hungry. The taste was really nice, it was obvious that the dish was cooked slowly and with care. Besides, it was super healthy.
The Ayran was too dense as a drink, it could be a bit more diluted.
The staff were behaving friendly, perhaps even more than expected! That made us feel like at home.
Just be aware that the prices are above the average. But hopefully you wouldn’t regret that.

Had lunch here while on a city break to Krakow. The restaurant has a great atmosphere - bright and modern with nice plants and music playing. It was a busy Saturday and there was a good buzz about the place. The staff are super friendly and helpful, taking time to offer suggestions and advice about the food. We had some really delicious hummus with lamb, a portion of baba ganoush and the chicken kebab, which came with salad and pitta. The chicken was so tender and tasty, we really loved it. The hummus was silky and garlicky and the baba ganoush sweet and smoky. Everything was fresh, colourful and well presented. This was plenty of food between two of us and fantastic value. We also had a beer each and I tried the cardamom coffee which the server recommended and was LOVELY. We would definitely come back when we return to Krakow.
Also we went into the Jewish bookshop which is in the same building as the restaurant and the man who worked there was very informative about the history of there area.
Fabulous!

We've tried to dine here a number of times. Today we successfully found a table in the garden and were able to taste the cuisine, advertised as the only place in KrakĂłw with Israeli "super foods" served. After a not too long waiting we've received our dishes on colorful plates - made in Tunisia. We've ordered an Israeli mezze mix with Abu Gosh hummus (sic!), falafel and muhamarra and lamb shish kebab. Now to the quality - the mezze was ok, although quite meager, hummus was from a can, with little tahina, no garlic at all, muhamarra didn't almost taste after walnuts and the falafel was prepared a while ago, barely warm and hard. The shish kebab did not taste after any seasoning and it tasted like old mutton. Atop of that, the "couscous" turned out to be barley groats. Not recommended.

This restaurant is awesome, it looks super nice and it offers a nice choice of dishes also vegan/vegetarian. If you can, try to sit in the inner garden, which is really unique.
It's located in the center of a the jewish area where many "jewish" restaurant are.
Their dishes are nicely served, staff speaks English.
Taste wise...it is not really Israeli, but it's close to it :) and still very good.
Please note that this restaurant is not Kosher (although it appears searching for kosher places in Krakow).

After reading a few blogs about Hamsa I decided I had to visit.
We ordered a set Mezze - of Hummus(pine nut and pomegranate), fried cheese and falafel. It didnt dissappoint and the deserts of baklawa and knafe were spot on. It all came to around 110zl (ÂŁ22) so was a bargain to boot with drinks!

Menu was limited due to kitchen renovation but the food we ate was delicious. Lovely setting and relaxing atmosphere, we really enjoyed it. The fresh orange juice was lovely, staff were friendly and it was all immaculate.

Visited with a friend on a trip to Krakow. We purposely found this restaurant as we are veggies and they had a good menu. Loved the decor and the service was fab. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We had a mix of starters and a salad. The food was nice, only downside was there was quite a strong dressing on the salad and it kind of overpowered the taste of the rest of it. Other than that it was really nice and would go again if we were in the area.

Stopped in at Hamsa by chance for lunch after a tour guide suggested humus in the Jewish quarter as an option for a light bite. We were not expecting the portions to be as big as they were and we were blown away by the taste and quality of the food. Hamsa was busy but the waitress made an effort to find us a table outside facing the Jan Karski bench memorial. Our friends have neighbours visiting Krakow soon and we are recommending Hamsa as a must visit place.
