We have been here before and after the refurb so can perhaps offer a compare & contrast. A couple of years ago, it used to be a traditional milkbar, minimalistic decor, purely focused on the functionality and if I recall correctly, tables were more timely...packed. Now, the table layout has totally changed - could also be related to COVID. Current vibe is much more comfortable. Food-wise, the menu is not too different, still serving up the locale specialties although the price has increased quite a bit. Still a cheap to moderate eat for foreign visitors but no longer the drop dead bargain. Cannot fault the quality or amount of food, neither aspect has changed. Given the increase in price, they perhaps have placed a little more emphasis on the presentation of food.More

Visited for breakfast during trip to Krakow and couldn’t fault it! We both had omelettes and toast and they were fantastic! Service is excellent, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cosy. Prices are also very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

I ate her twice in 3 days and both times the service was great and the food really lovely - first time scrambled eggs with bacon and toast - perfectly presented and really well-cooked (Delicious). The second time was my last day so needed to...fill up for the journey home so had the 'Irish' breakfast and... WOW - huge, well cooked, well presented, really tasty (2 days later I still feel full :-) :-) :-) ) Service was excellent and the bacon was 'proper English / Irish bacon not thin greasy and charred like many European cafes (and proper pork sausages too!)More

Milkbar Tomasza is a great restaurant to visit if you're planning a holiday to Krakow, its a restaurant that's modelled on the milkbar's that were prevalent throughout Krakow in communist times were you can enjoy delicious local meals at great value for money prices. The...interior is superb, a serving counter, lovely decor and furnishings, great wall art and plenty of seating options. We were here on a Wednesday afternoon, as usual this place was rammed ,in fact we had to wait 5 or so minutes for a table to become available, I studied the menu and opted for a thick vegetable soup and for main meal Polish schnitzel, potatoes and three sides of vegetables, service was quick and meal was outstanding, soup was steaming hot ,packed with flavour and filling ,main meal was awesome, schnitzel was really good ,beautifully seasoned ,potatoes were fab as was the vegetables, so fresh ,it was just what we needed to set us up for a good few hours, hardly surprising that this restaurant is so popular with meals this good. We both really enjoyed our meals in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time . Milkbar Tomasza is easy to locate along Swietego Tomasza . Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 8am till 6pm. Sunday, 9am till 6pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Krakow.More

Had the full Irish breakfast and it was brilliant. Portion was huge and didn't need to eat again until the evening. My wife enjoyed the yoghurt/fruit and the coffee was fab too. Luckily both days we ate there we got seated just before the rush...around 08:45. The staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommendedMore

This place was ok. It was pretty cramped, I kept being knocked whilst trying to eat. The breakfast was OK, but very basic. Expensive for what it is.

Milkbar Tomasza on Świętego Tomasza is a superb Soviet style restaurant that offers a superb range of food thats very cheap but very delicious. This superb restaurant is in a brilliant area of the old town and is without a doubt one of the best milkbar's...in Kraków and one we've visited a couple of time's on our trip's to Kraków. Milkbars are considered a legacy from the Cummunist times but I think they pre-dates that era. They are brilliant restaurant's that offer budget friendly meals and on our trip to here this superb milkbar was as busy as it gets. This milkbar has an excellent interior with nice decor and furnishings and plenty of good seating options. We visited Milkbar Tomasza early on in the afternoon and we were extremely lucky as we managed to get a table. On our visit me and my twin brother had Polish Schnitzel'a superb meal with potatoes and sides. The meal was superb as was the service as was the price of the meal. This is a fantastic milkbar in a superb area that's well worth a visit if your in the old town. (This is my 2nd review of Milkbar Tomasza). Opening Hours. Monday-Closed. Tuesday-Saturday-08.00-18.00. Sunday-09.00-18.00. Hours May Differ From Above.More

This is a lovely restaurant, they were so welcoming. The food was typical polish cuisine and was just superb. The lady serving us who I think was the owner was so friendly, and happy to give recommendations on what to try. It is really cheap...too and 2 of us came out incredibly full for under £30.00. We would have loved to have returned before the end of our trip but unfortunately due to their opening hours and our itinerary we never made it back.More

Very popular. Expect a little wait or queue and possibly even share a table. Food here is hearty and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Could definitely come here regularly to eat through their menu.

Although had to queue, was worth it, small place but did not take long to get seated. Great food and service. We both had the black pudding which includes apple, with scrambled eggs, also a side order of the pancakes. Highly recommend- you can of...course order an Irish breakfast which looked nice, but we wanted traditional.More
