Having visited about 8 Milk Bars in Warsaw, we were anxious to try out Krakow. Most of the milk bars here we visited were more tourist oriented. Meaning - you ordered from the bar, but they served you at the table, ambiance was more of...a restaurant. The food however, was just as good as the cafeteria styled eateries. The stuffed cabbage, soups and dumplings of course were delicious - just remember to get extra sour cream - I mean.. If Poland taught us one thing it's that sour cream is delicious on EVERYTHING you're about to put in your mouth! Waitress was super friendly and prices were easy on the wallet. Loved it.More

I don't know where about in Ireland they're from but they have no idea how to make a good Irish breakfast, no black pudding, no white pudding, sausages where absolutely tasteless, the bacon was raw on one side and was so thick it was like...pork chops. Orange juice was so full of pulp and pips it was undrinkable it should have been served with a spoon rather than a straw. And at nearly 8 quid a pop for a breakfast it isn't cheap either. Absolute rip off, it isn't a real milk bar just a very overrated tourist trap.More

Love the Milkbars in Poland, this slightly more modern one always does the job. Great choice, delicious food and nice staff. Make sure you are aware of what Milk bars are and do not expect restaurant surroundings, but the down to earthness makes it a...pleasant experience. Scrambled eggs with black pudding was deliciousMore

We had our first breakfast here. It was tremendous. We had a full Irish breakfast, 1/2 pancakes with cinnamon and apples and 1 x Musli with cornflakes and yoghurt. For drinks we had a Cappuccino and a Lipton tea with Lemon. We had to queue...but it was worth it and will go there again.More

We visited after reading reviews and were not disappointed! We both got an Irish breakfast which was huge, delicious and great value for money. Breakfasts are served all day every day. Nice coffee too. This place was very popular with locals and tourists so you...may have to wait for a table as it's a small place.More

Return visit - first was 6 years ago. Still my favourite place for lunch/breakfast. Always busy - good sign. Loved it. We had the cheese, onion & herb omelette, nutella pancakes and great homemade lemonade. Lovely staff - family run, traditional. Great choice of dishes.

Great breakfast - we had pancakes, omelette and scrambled eggs with salmon between us. Plus juice and coffee. Pancakes apparently had too much banana but eggs great. Fresh juice was lush. Breakfast for 4 was about 130PLN.

We had read about Milkbar Tomasza online and as our hotel was just a street away, decided to go here for breakfast. So glad that we did rather than have it at the hotel! The food here is excellent - very fresh, super tasty and...good value. My husband also loved the tea that he had. It is usually very busy however but if you are prepared to share a table ( as we did) it is well worth the visit. Staff are very friendly as well - highly recommend a visit.More

We stayed in Krakow for a week and went to this cafe times during the week for breakfast. The place is very busy and rightly so as the staff and the food were fantastic. We had various breakfasts over the 3 days all off which...were excellent. You MUST try the scrambled eggs with black pudding stack its awesome and the full Irish breakfast if you are very hungry is a great treat. A big bonus was HOT coffee, it is so disappointing when you order a coffee and it turns up luke warm as we did at other cafes during our stay but not here it arrived HOT and steaming as it should. We loved this cafe and i am sure you will too well worth searching out this place. The cost is also very reasonable we both had cooked breakfasts and coffee for around £12 all in. Try it you wont be disappointed.More

An amazing wee polish milk bar with best pancakes we have found in Kraków. Very pleasant and welcoming service made us want to comeback 3 times over our stay here. Dziękujemy za gościnność 😊

I love the milkbars in Poland ,in days gone by these were the government subsidised cafeterias relating to Polands communist past ,in reality the milkbars of Poland actually predate the Soviet occupation of the country ,nowadays they are absolutely fantastic restaurants offering great local meals...at a fraction of the cost of more so called conventional restaurants ,in Krakow there are five or six milkbars ,the most famous and my personal favourite is Milkbar Tomasza ,a milkbar I've been visiting for many years . I love the look of this milkbar, interior is light and airy ,great decor and furnishings and cool wall art plus lots of seating options ,the only drawback of this milkbar is that it's very popular ,I mean proper popular from opening time till closing time ,of a morning when about to open there are queue's already forming . My twin brother were here on a late afternoon a group of backpackers were leaving as we looked into the milkbar and tables became available ,we grabbed a table ,my twin brother Stephen went up the counter and ordered our meals which were ready more or less instantly ,we opted to have Polish schnitzel, potatoes and salad and a soft drink,we settled back and tucked into our meals which were absolutely delicious , the schnitzel was huge and so tasty ,potatoes were yummy and the salad fresh and tasty ,all in all a great meal in a fantastic milkbar ,I don't want to harp on about the price but it is great value for money but the quality of the meals belies the low price ,meals are amazing and filling, proper local cuisine. We really enjoyed our meals in here before we moved on and as on all previous visits to Milkbar Tomasza we had a wonderful dining experience. Milkbar Tomasza is easy to locate along Swietego Tomasza. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday,8am till 6pm. Sunday,9am till 6pm. A great milkbar ,one I highly recommend you check out of you're in the area.More

After all the reviews and recommendations we had on social media we could not come away from Krakow without having breakfast here. We only had scrambled eggs with toast and it was the best scrambled eggs we’ve ever tasted.. Staff were lovely and even encouraged...us to take photos to review! It’s only a small place with a small number of seating area but it’s definitely worth the wait!More
