Superb restaurant, food, service and ambience. We had a wonderful family evening meal here in May. Excellent menu and service. Highly recommended.
Recommended by the hotel, Michelin star!! Fabulous place and not over priced or over ostentatious. We wanted traditional food so asked waiter for advice. From that moment we just let him decide our menu and drinks for the evening. Absolutely nothing to fault from starters...through to dessert. Stater of goose and tartar, specially prepared mix of pierogi for 4 next. Pierogi are fab and full of flavour. Mains were duck and beef tenderloin, cooked perfectly. All washed down with a selection of polish drinks. If you visit krakow, visit kogel mogel, you won’t be disappointed.More
My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here on a weekend trip to Krakow. We sat in the front part of the restaurant at a window table which was a nice spot. The waiter was friendly and attentive, recommending us a lovely bottle of...wine to accompany our meal. We had main courses and desserts, all of which were fantastic. Beef cheeks particularly good, tender and perfectly seasoned. Next time I visit Krakow I would definitely like to return here.More
Amazing food, great ambience and attentive, professional waiting staff. Would definitely recommend booking here if visiting krakow!
An extensive menu with wines most people won’t know but the wait team know everything. This is classic Polish food so pirogues and Zander were the order for the day. Excellent cooking and presentation. Just off the main square so easy to find.
We had so much luck with us, that they has a table for us, even tho we hadn’t reserved. We got placed at a nice table. We got the tartar and half duck. It was SO good! The wine was perfect for the food. The...service was really great! Hope to come there again, I would definitely recommend it, if you like quality food and good service.More
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Setting is lovely, service was perfectly attentive and food was beautiful. Special mention again for the service, it was spot on and all of this for the price was very reasonable (~£40 per head for 3 courses,...wine and coffee). Apple pie was the best I’ve had.More
We had a recommendation to come here, and SO glad we did. The beetroot soup is just off the scale nice, (ask for bread with it). Also the veal Perogi. I always know when I'm wowed - I put my fork down between mouthfuls. EVERY...TIME with those two dishes! Also, their traditional egg sweet with fruit. Staff great, friendly and no tricks with pushing items you didn't order, but cost extra. Thanks ❤️More
It was dinner on New Year's Eve. The menu was chosen in advance, so there was no need to choose anything on the spot and you could enjoy the atmosphere of the holiday. All meals were delicious. And some are even interesting. Very pleasant fresh...beef tartare, no new taste emotions, but the quality did not disappoint me either. The goose pâté in my opinion had a slightly more liver flavor than I would have liked, I thought it would be something like foie gras, but no. The delicate creamy artichoke soup was perfect, the taste balanced between creamy pumpkin soup and broccoli. Lemon sorbet with vodka mint syrup was very well served before the main course, it was not too sweet and I was pleased with it. But the main dish of the evening disappointed me! The meat was soft and not dry, but it was also not juicy, as if it was made in sous vide. And the demiglace sauce was inexpressive and, in general, the dish seemed rather faded to me. The dark chocolate dessert with a delicate blackcurrant filling was delicious, not too sweet with the perfect combination of dark chocolate and berry filling. In general - all the dishes were of good quality, something a little less bright, something a little more, but nonetheless. It is impossible not to note the work of the waiters - no complaints, only thanks! A place worthy of its fairly high place in the top restaurants in Krakow.More
Excellent visit. Came for dinner from the UK. Great ambience and food. Highly recommend. Few mins walk from the square.
Cold food and very long waiting time for dishes. We were with family and friends. We are definitely disappointed.
food and taste were so good that after first night I had to go there 3 nights in a row and a lunch to taste other dishes, each was better than the other
An absolute must if in Krakow. The restaurant is delightful and the layout makes your table feel very private, tasteful decor with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were amazing. Our waitress was very attentive at all times. Now for the food…not a single complaint, absolutely...delicious, perfect presentation. Hubby said the apple pie was the best he has ever tasted and believe me he’s tasted a lot! Book before you go to avoid missing out.More
The restaurant itself is very pleasant but we were unfortunately seated in the room with the entrance door and got blasted by cold air every time someone came in. Waitress was very nice but forgot my wine. Ordered starters, note the perogi are listed after...the starters but before the main. Made the mistake of ordering the veal ones assuming they were a starter. They weren’t. They were lovely but 7 were too many. Perhaps the waitress should have pointed this out when we ordered or perhaps the restaurant should give the option of two portion sizes. The other starter of goose pâté was extremely sweet as the already rich brioche came dusted in icing sugar! Our mains were beef cheek and pork chop. The chop was just schnitzel, which was very dry and came with only sauerkraut so we had to order a side of potatoes. The beef cheek was disappointingly low on taste and not particularly tender. The accompanying barley was cooked to varying degrees of soft to gritty and the dish was only lifted by the pumpkin. All in all, it did not live up to the hype. Much better meals to be had at places content to be a little more down to earth and for less money.More
