This had to be one of the best restaurants I have EVER had the pleasure of dining at. The food and service were exceptional. We ordered the six-course meal with wine pairing and we could not finish all the food. The portions were small and...beautifully presented. The staff was very accommodating and made substitutions when requested. The amuse bouche included two different courses and the dessert was accompanied by a nice assortment of petit fors, which we had to take home with us because we were so full. I LOVED THIS RESTAURANT and if we lived in Krakow, I would be a regular. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!! It was also a great value compared to what we would have paid for a comparable meal here in California.More

After spending 4 days in Krakow - and having many delicious meals - I opted for Amarylis for the last night. The 6 course tasting menu - with pairings - was nearly perfect! The waiter was wonderful and shared personal stories and little touches of...history with every course. My favorite quote of the night, “Every Polish house has bread. I would say 100% if you went to a Polish house for dinner there would be bread. If there was not, the person must be a freak.” I literally laughed out loud! Each course was thoughtful and presented beautifully. The dishes were prepared to perfection. As for the wine - I picked the “unique pairings” as opposed the the classic pairings and was wonderfully surprised by each one. I wish I had time to go back!More

Firstly I am astounded the Amarylis has not been awarded a Michelin star. Did they forget to visit? Amarylis is truly amazing - the whole experience, from the moment you enter the premises until you leave. I was late for my booking and only realised...this when I checked my booking 5 minutes before my arrival. I thought I would have lost my table but it was no worry to the lovely staff. The staff gave a genuinely warm welcome and service. My server was Tomasz and he noticed that I was left handed and quickly moved my cutlery to my liking. I have never seen this being done before in a restaurant and this attention to service continued throughout the evening. A mention also to Krzeska. The staff care about the service and food and were a pleasure to deal with throughout the evening. The technical brilliance and flavours of the dishes prepared by the chefs in the kitchen are sublime. The whole atmosphere is homely and unrushed. The theatrics around each course are out of this world and I've never experienced anything quite like it before. The wine pairing were special and to have the final drink of the night appear at your table on a trolley was sheer drama. The decor is tasteful and nothing makes you feel 'intimidated'. In fact, the whole dining experience feels special, yet casual. I visited as a solo guest but was made to feel very special and that I was the most important guest of the evening. That's a truly special effect that they have perfected. If you ever get the chance, this restaurant is a must to visit. I am a very critical individual and despite my best efforts could find nothing to criticise as the food and service are flawless. I think that all of the superlatives that I could use in this review have already been used by previous reviewers. There's nothing else to say about Amarylis so the best way to find out what it's really like is to book a table and sample it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.More

We stayed in the Queens Boutique so we thought we’d visit the restaurant and so glad we did, reservation for 7pm and it was well after 11 before we left. We had the 6 course menu and I had the wine pairing. Every course &...every wine were top quality. Our waiter was superb throughout and full of information on everything we had. My wife doesn’t like nuts so the chef made replacement dishes for her. Why this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me. As it was my birthday the chef also made us a homemade raspberry liquor which was fantastic. I highly recommend this placeMore

Why this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me. Furthermore I can’t fathom why it wasn’t busier?! It’s simply outstanding. I very quickly ran out of praising description words and nearly had to very northernly succumb to offering the l “absolutely banging”, which...it all was. Staff fantastic and also passionate which I love so much with being a foodie, I can listen to food spiel that I don’t particularly understand from someone who loves it allllll day long. I also loved the variety of the menu, all sorts going on. You’d pay an arm and a leg for this in the Uk. This was hands down one of the best tasting menus I have had the pleasure of devouring and I have eaten in fine dining establishments all over the world. 10/10 Amarylis 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻More

This was my second visit to this restaurant and the first time staying at the hotel. My first visit was in 2018 and it was one of the very best meals I've ever had. As someone that has traveled to almost 50 different countries this...was absolutely fantastic. Tonight, we visited the restaurant for the second time. Due to Covid, they have changed to a tasting menu only. Overall, the food was absolutely exceptional. There's a good reason this is in the Michelin guide and I suspect it will have a Michelin star soon. Each course was fresh and the flavors were excellent. The restaurant likes to use an ingredient in multiple ways in the same course which is fun. The portion sizes were absolutely massive for a tasting menu. It was one of the rare times we left completely stuffed. The restaurant is an intimate setting but has no windows. It is on the -1 floor so it does not feature a view but the decor is quite nice. Service was very prompt and the courses just kept coming! This is a must-visit restaurant if you're in krakow and the hotel is excellent too. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is a nice selection. There was a comment or two about them "trying too hard". Having eaten here a couple times now it's safe to say those folks just don't have an advanced culinary palate. If you don't like new things or want to leave your culinary comfort zone, this might not be the place for you. If you're willing to try some truly excellent cuisine, I highly recommend Amarylis! PS: TripAdvisor thinks my pictures are too big other than this one so sadly can't post them allMore

We visited Amarylis last night. Firstly, the setting is lovely in a vaulted brick basement. The design has perfectly blended modern and old to give a relaxing yet sophisticated vibe. We opted for the 6 course taster menu which is well worth the experience. It...is a quite a lot of food but all the flavours of the different dishes are worth experiencing. Our waiter Bartek was brilliant. He was knowledgeable about the food and wines. It gave a history of the region alongside the dishes. He was polite, friendly and funny. We didn't opt for the wine paring but Bartek accommodated us well for example, when we were to have a glass of white to accompany the starters he suggested really good matching wines and then split a glass between us so we both had the experience. The food was amazing and looked as good and tasted as any michelin star restaurant we have been to, utilising local produce and cooking methods but making it sophisticated and truly flavoursome. The food and wine was fantastic we had ample of both and paid a reasonable £220 for 2. Worth every penny including aperitif and digestif alongside wines (bottle of local Polish Red and 2 glasses of white). Highlights for us were the trout, beef and turbot courses as well as the traditional Polish boiled bread!More
