I would recommend making a booking here, as it was quite full when we arrived. That said, despite them saying it would be a 20-30 minute wait for a table, after 5 minutes two had become available, and we were seated in an area of the restaurant that was completely empty. I don’t know if they were trying to give off an illusion of booking fully booked for popularity or what, but we’re glad we decided to wait. Even an hour later there were still several tables empty so it wouldn’t have been a problem for them to say yes but we need the table back at X time. Our table was in the back downstairs, which almost felt like a separate restaurant as we couldn’t hear the live music from the main area at all, which is definitely a nicer atmosphere. That said, we really enjoyed our meal and the service was very quick. My beef rolls were delicious, and the goulash and meat pierogis were both tasty too, though my wife said the pancakes and pierogi dough were much heavier than we had elsewhere. The desserts were the highlight though (which we ordered to take away), they were exceptional - so light and gorgeous. The pistachio pie was the best, but the chocolate one was also brilliant.

Picked at random on our last night in Krakow, we were not disappointed. We both had the vegetarian stuffed cabbage rolls, superb, we ordered with fries, coleslaw and pureed potato (read mashed potato!) which was more than enough, though we still found room to share a piece of pistachio tart served with the most delicious ice cream. Service was excellent, our waitress was honest about portion sizes and was more than happy to facilitate our sharing the one dessert. Good value for money, would highly recommend.

Visited last night and couldn't be happier with our experience. Lovely venue, nice ambience with live (but not overbearing) piano player on the balcony.
The real highlights were the food and the service from Patryk though, who spoke excellent English and was warm, friendly and was attentive without being intrusive.
We had the cabbage rolls with tomato sauce and potato pancakes with goulash, with sides of warm beetroot salad, green beans with something & crumb (tried to look it up but just discovered that the online menu isn't as good as the descriptions in the English-language menu in the actual restaurant) and Silesian dumpling. Oh and pistachio tart.
The only thing I'd change is not having the dill on the dumplings (which were more liked gnocchi) but that's just a personal preference.
Almost certainly won't eat there again on this visit to Krakow, but would definitely consider doing so again in the future.
Dzięki Patryk and the chefs :)

Such a great authentinc place. The food was delicious. The service even better. The service team was very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Maks, was very attentive and provided great recomendations for custmer favorite local dishes that our family, big and small, really enjoyed. There was a live pianist playing as we dined, which made the experience even more authentic. Highly recomend.

Top notch restaurant! The decor is nice, the servers pleasant but above all the food is excellent for a very reasonable price.
We ate with 4 adults with a drink each and a very very hearty dish for a total of 280 zt or around €60.
Very good, plentiful, nice and inexpensive! We will come back with pleasure.

Let's start by saying that not even our taxi driver who is from Krakow, knew about this restaurant eh well, then I order non-carbonated water and a big glass arrives just for my daughter, I assumed that two or at least a bottle with 2 glasses would arrive, but the highlight was when I ordered the first of their traditional dishes that I had seen online, what a shame on their menu was at the last place written in Polish, so I get a stuffed cabbage roll that I did not digest all evening. The other dish was with dumplings and meat and the dumplings were chewy. Sounded like hot stuff to me at the time and not quality. The average price in Warsaw but the sad thing was the service, with derision between colleagues in the service and cmq not eating something I liked. Terrible experience for me even if in the end I laughed about it.

We really liked this place! There is also a hidden bar in there. Just ask!
We had dinner, which was traditional and tasteful but also modern. We had red borsch soup with bread, cabbage rolls vegetarian and chicken volaille cutlet both with 2 extras included. The stuff was super friendly and nice. We paid 35€ with drinks

Was just talking with a friend about this restaurant and remembered I hadn’t reviewed it. It was a recommendation from the concierge where we were staying in Krakow as my furies hadn’t ever tasted Polish cuisine and this so good we went two evenings in a row. Brilliant quality food, really healthy cooking styles, good range of Polish staples and more general European choices all with fantastic portions. The service was excellent . I’m considering a trip back just to enjoy this restaurant. Highly recommend!

A great find. If you want traditional food then this place should be on your list.
Service and food were great, authentic dishes, well priced and a wide range of both food and drinks. I was also pleasantly surprised what good value it is
The pork tenderloin, chanterelle sauce with beetroot and silesian dumplings was delicious and my starter of the Polish sour soup with egg, ham and white sausage flavoured with juniper was great. Thanks.

We had food delivered to home (at the hotel) during our stay in Krakow. I specify that the hotel is located about 1 km away.
We took the Pierogi (typical ravioli with various types of filling) which were filled with potatoes and served with a sour cream (maybe yogurt?), a chicken fillet with pesto and mozzarella (served with chips and another side dish of your choice) , a portion of breaded chicken nuggets with cornflakes (served with chips), a portion of breaded cheese with cornflakes (served with chips), a baby kit (schnitzel, chips, noodles in broth).
Even though it was transported food (external temperature -4°), we still enjoyed it. Punctual delivery service, with live delivery information.
Definitely worth trying directly in the restaurant.

Had a fabulous meal here this evening. 2 adults and a fussy 16 year old! We had the baked Camembert for starter and the the fussy one had chicken and fries for main. The adults had potato cakes with goulash and sour cream and the mixed dumplings. Great service, fantastic food would highly recommend.

Wanted some Polish food on my be try first day to Krakow. Smakolyki was really near to my hotel and doesn’t seem to require reservations. I did a walk in at around 6.30pm and the restaurant was half full. Managed to get a table immediately.
Ordered beetroot soup, old polish bigos (stew) with pork and cabbage served with bread and a cup of grapefruit juice. Beetroot soup was very satisfying. The stew was too sour for my liking because of the cabbage.
Service is quite fast. Will love to try out other items on the menu.

New place, bright and close to the centre, wide variety of typical dishes and possibility of taking the menu of the day (I highly recommend).
Very low prices. For an appetizer, a salad, a menu of the day (soup, main course and their drink), a beer, two waters, two coffees around €30 for 2

Authentic Polish dishes (or easteuropean) are here tasty and not in bad prices. Specially nive is. Abbage rolls with meat in mushroom sauce. Service polite. This is a buzy place full of people but everything is ok.
Sometimes even live music. If you do not like jazz, avoid this place.

My partner and I visited this restaurant on an evening as we we wanted to try some local cuisine while in Krakow, and I'm so glad we chose here as it was lovely 😍
The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and I think there was actually someone playing piano which created a really nice ambiance along with the decor and candles.
We were served by Basia who was very friendly and patient with us while we chose what food to order.
The food that we did order was absolutely delicious and left us full to the brim. Basia looked after us very well the whole visit and made us feel very comfortable.
I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area! 😊
