This is a self-service bar. Here you can eat fast, cheap, but not tasty at all. Everything we have tasted was either too spicy or too salty.

I knew Krakow had some great 'cheap' Polish cuisine restaurants, but "Bar Smak" on Karmelicka St is the best ever! If you want authentic, wholesome, freshly made meals at a bargain price, this is the place! There is no wine list here but you can enjoy a selection of beers or other drinks with your delicious lunch or dinner -... More

If you're looking for a real local restaurant, go there and try it! We were there during the lunch hour and the local people kept coming in for lunch (actually we were the only two tourists there). Their lunch sets allow variety choices in low prices. And you don't need to worry if you can't speak Polish. You can ask... More

Very cheap and homemade polish dishes. Good quality and big serving for a small price. We went to this great restaurant three times while our four day trip. Note: In the restaurant is self-service. You can ask for a english menu.

Great food, genuine and very good price. Menu is in polish but easily you will get info on what you will get for food. Food is freshly made and from fish to meat you can find trout, pork, chicken all very genuinely made. Self service is the way to do it! Prices are very good for this cosy place! Definitely... More

We had just arrived in Krakow late evening so we were looking for somewhere local to our hotel for a quick meal when we came across this local café/restaurant. We had a 3 course special for just 16 zloty each and all the courses were very tasty, especially the potato cakes and the dumplings. All in all very tasty.

Located just outside Stare Miasto (old town) and boy were we lucky to run at this small diner restaurant. Small and cosy with much love and live. Zurek, my first, was just great. Dumplings "ruskie" were to die for and pancakes were more than delicious - I recommend them to every pancake lover. Price is 50% of that you find... More

We found this place after nine o'clock. It is open till ten, where many restaurants close at nine. Solid polish food for 16 or 25 zloty. We asked for a glass of red wine, but they only had beer.... The service was quick - no unnessecary talking. You enter - order and pay for your meal - eat it -... More

This is really a restaurant worth mentioning and I'd like to give it a short T/A review. We were in Krakow for three days and we ate there twice. It's just off where one of the entrances to the main square is and next to tram stops. It's where locals eat, very unpretentious, and the food is genuine Polish and very inexpensive—and delicious! There is an English menu so it's easy to choose what you want and to order it. The two times we were there, it wasn't crowded and there was no waiting. It was very peaceful and quiet and well ventilated. Well worth knowing about. There was a blog about it on your website.
