An absolute gem of a place. Restaurant only has 20 seats in the main indoor restaurant and we were fortunate to get a table for 2 (highly recommend booking in advance). The staff were attentive, friendly and highly professional. The food exquisite and overall we had an amazing meal in a cute restaurant just off the main drag. Very reasonably priced aswell

Wonderful food and environment

This restaurant is superb in all respects. From the moment you walk into the courtyard you are greeted by charming waiters and then ushered to a table amidst well kemp verdant gardens. The menu is excellent providing sufficient choice without being overwhelming. My wife had tagliolini con gamberetti. She said it was marvellous. I had tagliolini alle vongole. It was magnificent. The sauce was from another planet. We accompanied the mains with a reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon from Nelson in the very south of New Zealand. It was at least as good as its higher priced cousins from Marlborough Sound. We treated ourselves to dessert. My wife had tiramisu and I had meringue. They were both decadent and delicious. We finished off with coffee. No surprises here. It was lovely. My only trivial thought. Perhaps the waiters could be confident that they are serving excellent food and not bother the diners for a comment during each course.

I went to dinner at "Trattoria La Campana", by chance and wanting to vary food during my stay in Krakow. On a very hot day, dinner in the garden was very pleasant. Main orders dishes: - "Filet z kurczakam supreme" (76 PNL): "Supreme chicken filet" (very well cooked and tasty); - "Spaghetti z w dzon ricott" (56 PNL): "Spaghetti with ricotta" (smooth tasty vegetarian dish). Local with groups to celebrate birthdays or with couples in a romantic atmosphere. Emilia was extremely professional and very attentive.

Firstly, the food was so good! The chefs were great! There was only myself and a few other people in the restaurant so it wasn’t busy at all. The staff were so unwelcoming, I sat there for ages with no menu watching the staff on their phones and just standing around making no effort to come to me. An unfriendly waitress came over put the menus down (the drinks menu at the other side of the table so I didn’t get a chance to see it) she said what did you want? So I just asked for a wine. Food arrived and was lovely, but any part of the service from the waitress I felt so uncomfortable and unhappy being there. If the service was good I’d of given 5 stars as the food was incredible. Just a shame for the service.

The best restaurant! Italian tratoria with a Michelin star! Very tasty food! We took five dishes - two salads, tartare, burata, duck - everything was fresh with sauces, most tender and not small portions, which is typical for Michelin. We were very pleased, we were looking for something like this for a long time, so that Italy, but not just pizza, the restaurant met all expectations! Including atmosphere, comfort and good wine! Definitely recommend!

The place looks good. It is a place reviewed by Gambero Rosso and therefore I expected the top. The food was good but the service was very slow and they got the wrong course. I had ordered a side dish of potatoes which arrived much later than the second course and of two portions they only brought one. They don't accept payments in euros. Overall decent.

My wife and I booked this Italian restaurant at the last minute. The table was in the beautiful garden, a charming setting. My wife mentioned she was a little cold and the waitress, who was excellent, immediately provided blankets and lit a heater nearby which sorted the problem immediately. The food was really good, I had gambretti and a beef pasta dish, my wife burrata and a truffle tagliatelle which she really enjoyed. Her semifreddo with passion fruit was great as was my merringata. Our waitress , a young woman with long dark hair who had recently been to Georgia on a short break, was really good and will go far in the industry. She recommended a Polish white wine which was well priced and tasted very good. We had an excellent evening, thoroughly recommend.

Excellent restaurant. Very well-kept location, lots of greenery and well-arranged tables to create a suggestive and romantic atmosphere. Dishes presented very well and of great quality. We tasted some truly excellent fettuccine with truffles on parmesan cream. The wine list is decent with the possibility of tasting by the glass. Excellent service

We stumbled across this restaurant and were so glad we did. We had pasta then desserts and they were all delicious and served very quickly. The desserts were amazing! The restaurant was very quiet at 8pm on a Thursday in January but the staff were attentive and it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Recommended by our stellar hotel staff at the Balthazar Design Hotel, we made it to the restaurant with the good fortune of nabbing a reservation. The reception was warm and inviting. Too cool and wet to sit outdoors, we were escorted through a picture taking room, with the espresso machine, to a bright and beautifully decorated seating area to a very private feeling table for 2. It was a very late lunch/early dinner for us so we were eating on the light side this evening. Warm and delicious breads to start with some delicious olives. Lovely wine selections. We each had a perfect “side” salad. For our main courses, my spouse had a divine cauliflower soup (of the day), and I had the strazziata pasta dish with a divine sauce and meat and vegetable.

Had lunch with a large family of 8, arrived without a reservation and a table was immediately set up in the beautiful garden! Very nice relaxed atmosphere, you no longer notice that you are in the middle of the city. Service was very nice and helpful. Delicious food, really top Italian!

Beautiful restaurant in a quiet street, five minute walk from old town square. It's pricey (for Krakow) but the quality of the food shows and it's worth splashing out here. As a group of 14, we settled into a private area, very nice inside. Staff were pleasant and very efficient, a lovely bottle of Vermentino was about £33, so reasonable. Starters of trout tartare and ricotta bruschetta, both delicious; I had a few fish tartares in Krakow and this was by far the best. Everything was so fresh. My main was beef cheek risotto, beautiful dish with amazing flavours, i could go back right now for it! My wife had the sea bass and again was delighted with it. Total price for the two of us was £113 (before tip) including two bottles of wine. It's a lovely place with brilliant service and a large garden seating area, for summer months! Highly recommend.

Between just passable and nice

Thought we’d try this restaurant as it was near our hotel. The food was described as ‘nice’ by my wife. She hates to offend so her nice is my passable. Veal was under seasoned and lack any flavour. The quality of the beef was poor and the pasta dishes small. The waitress was obviously exhausted and exchanged not a word of conversation. So, in conclusion we think it was somewhere between ‘just passable’ and ‘nice’

We were pleasantly surprised when we were seated outside in the garden. We expected just some good italian but found an elevated experience made even better by a lovely outdoor setting and great food. The menu offered many options and we enjoyed a lovely wine and great food- I very much enjoyed the saltimbuca. The staff was great- friendly and attentive. Located on a side street off the main road and we were glad we were there in April vs the busier times of the year.

A small door way, but look for it!

We have been visiting this restaurant nearly every year since 2011. We were there in December which is the month we usually visit Krakow, it was only then we discovered they had a beautiful garden area. Covered in snow and very pretty, we decided we would go back in a summer month to experience the garden. The food is of excellent quality, extremely tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxing, the garden beautifully lit with quiet live background music to add to the ambiance. The staff are very polite and accommodating. Special thanks to Maria, who looked after us. She is very smiley, very bubbly and just a lovely young lady. We look forward to our next visit.
