Fabulous food, staff and value for money!

We rarely go to the same restaurant twice when on holiday as there are so many places to try, but this restaurant was so good we made an exception. We arrived in Krakow quite late in the evening and, by happy coincidence, Minoas was one of the first restaurants we came across. There was a wide variety of vegetarian options for me and plenty of meat dishes for my husband. The place was bright and busy and, aware many places stopped serving at 10pm, we went in. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was fresh and delicious. I had the best Greek salad I have ever had accompanied with fantastic chunky fries. Little extra touches ,such as complimentary starters, add to the appeal and we were very impressed by the value of our meal. Our second visit was just as positive.Try the amazing honey cake if you go! Our only disappointment is that we don't have a restaurant like Minoas where we live!

To be honest, I was searching for a greek restaurant in Krakow, but I tried a few and of course they resulted to be "fake" and not based on qualiy products. Today, I decided to order from Taverna Minoas, and just can summarize this wonderful choice in one phrase: the food has authomatically and instantly transported me to Greece.Not only the salad and the pitta bread, but specilly their hospitable gesture towards me of giving the greek yoghurt as a present and surpise included in the order. What an amazing gesture and food quality. But this is not enough, small things like this suprise, really represent a very good and solidar service that strive to go further than just selling food, it is also about causing big smiles and make the day easier and more delicious!!!!! Thank you very much, restaurants like that should get all the luck possible, although fighters and hardworking people do not need "this thing"!

An enjoyable afternoon meal

My husband and I were visiting Krakow, Poland the last two weeks of December, and as usual, we were lost but not discouraged due to the fact that amazing things always seemed to happen when we were sidetracked! And this day was not the exception either. We were cold, not sure where we were, but we very loudly heard our stomachs telling us what to do next. And lo and behold, we were standing next to this inviting Greek restaurant. The decor reminded us of the blue sky and ocean water of Greece. We like to order dishes that we both would like to try and gives us many tastes during one meal. And the tastes were delicious! Every dish was beautifully seasoned, cooked to perfection and the staff was attentive and helpful. The owner found out that my husband is a retired pastor and brought out to us his signature dessert for us to enjoy! The hospitality was joyful and they were proud to explain what's in each dish and the spices that were used. We truly left with a satisfied belly and our new friends helped us to find our way back. This afternoon will always be remembered as a wonderful wrong turn that led us to a delightful meal and new friends!

AMAZING FOOD!

Wow what an incredible find this was! We visited here twice during our trip to Krakow as the food was just too good!! Both times we had the mixed grill and the meat on it was so tasty and obviously freshly cooked. We also tried the grilled halloumi, meatballs and stuffed vine leaves - all of which were fantastic! The customer service was also 5 stars as the waitresses/waiters were all so polite and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough if you are visiting Krakow. You also receive a free appetiser and desert here!!

Great food & great service

My husband and I visited Kraków for the weekend and came across this lovely restaurant on our last night. After a day of walking we wanted something that would fill us and that we would enjoy, we have always loved Greek food. This was by far the best we’ve eaten. The decor of the restaurant is modern but traditional. The staff were very friendly and polite. My husband ordered lamb chops (with extra garlic, the chef was very accommodating) and I had the chicken Slovaka. The complimentary crisp bread and tzatziki dip and dessert were an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here, it was a perfect way to end a perfect break. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kraków!

Taste of Greece in Krakow

Coming to this restaurant was the best decision me and my family made. The great service, the quality of the food and the amazing people who work here make this restaurant an amazing and unforgettable place. I had the spaghetti bolognese, and it was legitimately the best thing I've ever had in my life. An amazing taste of Greece in the middle of the cold Krakow, starting with the phenomenal starters and ending with a delicious dessert.

After last year's stay in Greece, I have had high expectations of Greek food in Poland. Fortunately, the Grecka Taverna Minoas restaurant, inconspicuously hidden in Krakow's Kazimierz, satisfied my desires for a taste journey to Greece. Starting with professional and customer-oriented service, delicious food (note: large and filling portions), and ending with a Greek local drink and delicious dessert - you can feel not only like in Greece, but you can feel Greece. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely come back here.

One of the best in Krakow

The staff here are very friendly and efficient. The food is very good, there were 4 of us having different meals on 3 visits (first time for morning coffee and cakes but on seeing the menu my son ordered chicken slouvaki. it was very good so we booked to come in the evening) and every time the food was excellent. in the evening the place was packed with locals creating a great atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable and worth every zlotti.

Just as we remembered

We chanced upon this great restaurant 2 years ago and thought we would give it a try. Our expectations were not high, I mean we were in Poland and eating at a Greek restaurant. From the second we walked in we were so impressed with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the comfortable decor and the warm welcome from all of the knowledgeable and professional staff. The menu was varied enough to suit even the fussiest eaters taste. We were a party of two couples who had both visited various parts of Greece on many occasions. We all ordered starters and mains and I can honestly say I have not eaten better in any part of Greece I have visited. The portions are huge so beware if you are not a big eater and the cost is more than reasonable. We emerged so well fed and relaxed, we couldnt even manage a nightcap and were sorry we had not left room for the complimentary dish of gorgeous greek yoghurt and honey bought to our table. We planned to return the following year, however Covid put paid to that and it was 2 years later before we could return. We were not disappointed, everything was as good as we had remembered it to be. So much so that during a 5 day break, we ate there twice and are already anticipating a return next year. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and cannot wait to return in 2023. The owners and all of the staff should be very proud of what they have achieved at Minoas. Its rare that any restaurant anywhere in the world maintains such consistently high standards but Minoas has and does. Thank you to everyone at Minoas for 3 superb evenings, meals, relaxation and enjoyment and look forward to visiting again in 2023.

Best Meal in Krackow

Booked on basis of Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed, arrived earlier than booked as we got a lift, seated immediately. Service was exceptional by Sylvia (apologies if spelt wrong). Ordered just a main course of lamb ribs (cutlets) each and received 8 cutlets delicious home made chips and salad, before this we were given little crostini with a feta, greek yogurt and paprika I think yum 😋 free of charge and we could not finish the main as just too much and they gave us a polystyrene box to bring home. We were then greeted with a Greek yogurt with Honey and cinnamon, I normally don’t eat yogurt and thought it was ice cream, it was so nice. Beautiful restaurant in the Jewish Quarter with fantastic staff and so so cheap. Highly recommend visiting this place, you will not be disappointed.

Called here for dinner as it was right by our hotel and the service/food were superb. I had chicken slouvaki and my wife had beef slouvaki and it was delicious we also had hummus to start and the portions are generous. We will definitely go back

Came here with my daughter for a short break and stumbled across this gem. Beautiful fresh food, big servings so those with a healthy appetite won't be disappointed. Excellent chips ( says my daughter). Deffo one to visit

The food was ok, just NOT typically Greek

We enjoyed our food, although it’s not typically Greek. The Greek salad WAS typically Greek, everything else was a loose version of Greek, that said, we enjoyed the food. Weirdly, you couldn’t order a haloumi gyros instead of a chicken gyros. The waiter just refused even though they sold haloumi. Inexpensive and tasty, just don’t expect a Greek experience. Friendly and I would return, all just a bit odd.

Was looking for a traditional local restaurant but stumbled across this place and as Greek food is our favourite we had to try it. The food was so fresh and authentic and fantastic value. We enjoyed it so much that we went on for a late lunch on our last day. We made up our own meze. Please give this lovely place a try
