We ate for dinner at Trzy Gesi and found it reasonably good but not overwhelming. When we sat down, we we had to find out that neither the different menus on the website nor half of the à la carte items were available that day....That was already a mediocre start because we had to re-choose several times. The starter, a goose egg, was really outstanding. The main course, goose filet, was very good. Both of our dessert, however, were relatively dull and uninspiring. Finally, we ended up paying quite a bit more than in usual restaurants in Krakow, which would be fine if the food and the experience were relatively a lot better. It was not unreasonably expensive, yet we found alternative but cheaper restaurants in the area to be a better choice after all. Maybe our expectations were also a bit too high.More

We stayed in krakow for a week in February and had some fantastic food but this place was the best by far. So much so we went twice. It is a bit further out of the main town but so worth it. The flavours and...presentation were perfect and our goose was cooked fantastically. The gentleman that served us both evenings was brilliant. So friendly and the attention to detail was spot on without being intrusive. Thank you very much.More

Customer service is atrocious. After email and phone call you come to the restaurant to finish booking and you get "no more spots left" even when they said it will be ok... And on top of that the overall expression is just "yes" "no" with...a passive agressive poker face, instead of "sorry but there were some issues and we didnt manage to communicate about it". I dont know how they got such great reviews.More

Wonderful culinary experience. A wonderfully inventive menu, fusion cuisine that mixes world flavours with traditional local ways of cooking. The whole menu is goose-based but you won't get tired of it. Must try

Curious to find out this original restaurant around geese…and for sure it was a very nice experience. Tartar was real taste explosion , delicious. Nice polish wines aside with good explanation provided. Some small things to further work on based on our evening : Prosecco...glass was last of an open bottle and unfortunately bubbles were fairly gone. Goose liver was rather ‘plain’ compared to the other courses, fruity cream accompanying was missing some power to balance taste in our view. But as said at beginning of this review , definitely a nice discovery what we plan to go back to in coming months !More

7 course tasting menu, food and matched wines beautiful, however ill matched in timing. We frequently received wine in advance of food courses, which lost the sincerity between them. Would suggest 2 or 3 fixed dinning times to reduce waiting times between some courses. The...staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and appeared to know about the food and wine. Maybe a precis about the wine with the menu would be great. I know the owner/manager is aiming high. We wish them best of luck and hope that we can visit again soon.More

Awesome experience, I had the 5 course degustation with wine and everything was delicious. The young lady who served me was very attentive and knowledgeable about both the food and the wine and she brought the dishes out as I wanted them, I didn’t feel...rushed at all. Well worth a splurge.More

I came here for a meal on my last night in Krakow, choosing the 5 course set menu with wine pairing. The food was absolutely delicious; all of it was very, very very good. I arrived at 7pm, the restaurant was very quiet and the...service for the first half of the meal was fantastic. At around 8pm it got slightly busier (about half of the covers were occupied) and the service went hugely downhill. I waited half an hour for my main course, in which time I wasn’t even looked at - and considering I had decided to go with the wine flight - was sat alone with nothing to drink except the sparkling water. When I’d finished this course (marred slightly by the large table being placed at the back of the restaurant and entirely changing the atmosphere by shouting and laughing) my plate sat clearly finished at the other side of my table for another half an hour. At this point there was huge banging and crashing heard from the kitchen and the lovely sound of an ice crushing machine which really added to the ambiance caused by the shouting party at the back and gave the whole place the vibe of a food hall. The desserts were lovely but by the time I ate them I just wanted to get out of here. If you’re coming as a group and don’t assume that the quality of the food will be matched by the service, I’d recommend. If you’re hoping for a fine dining experience I would not. Not one to do faceless complaints on the internet, I mentioned the lack of service to my waiter who got incredibly defensive and rudely told me that “some dishes take half an hour” and “we like to let you wait between courses”. Both would have been fine excuses if I hadn’t felt like I was sat in a corner being ignored for the near hour that I was, and honestly the way my complaints were dealt with is the reason for posting this review.More

This is a really nice restaurant serving mostly goose in various shapes and forms. We dropped in there for a dinner and, even though the place looked rather empty when we arrived, we still really wanted to explore it, as it was quite enthusiastically recommended...to us by friends. We soon found out that was a good decision, as the staff was extremely nice and helpful, the atmosphere quite homely, and the food great. We first had a starter of mixed goose cold cuts, which was on a rather meaty side (perhaps as one could predict) but very interesting. The mains though truly delivered. Both dishes were amazingly tasty and well cooked and the portions quite massive. The only slight downside was the wine list, which was veeery boring and short - it looked like a few random wines recommended by the importer and chosen without any understanding of the dishes in the card. The food was really good though and the value of the whole experience so great that I hope Trzy Gesi will manage to fix it soon! Highly recommendMore

Sunday lunch at the Trzy Gesi was excellent. I was seated promptly. Servers were efficient and professional. Lovely atmosphere. I started with goose charcuterie. What a pick! 9 sausages with different flavours and textures. I got confit goose thigh for a main. I have no...words to describe how amazing it was. Incredible dish, so complex and full of amazing flavours (seabuckthorn pure gives a great twist). I want to give a shout-out to the Chef, he did incredible work here! Well done Trzy Gesi - I will be back soon.More

By pure luck (or lazyness) we went to the restaurant closest to were we stayed at Perfect Hotel, namely Trzy Gesi (by the same owner). As the summer evening was warm, we choose a table outside on the quiet sidwalk. Browsing the meny we quickly...realised that the speciality of the establishment, and hence the name, was different dishes of goose. As this avian is hardly eaten anymore in Sweden, we were thrilled. As entrance we had the "Tapasy z gest" (Goose tapas) and as main course the restaurants famous dish "Trzy Gesi" (Three geese). Everything was carefully prepared and elegantly served and not a note was missed on the details. We were also impressed by our waiter Karols watchful but yet discreet services. It is always nice to find a restaurant with a philosofy and we trust that Trzy Gesi has a bright future ahead!More
