I was visiting Krakow with my boyfriend and we found this restaurant through Trip Advisor, and we were lucky to sit right in front of Sushi Chef Kristof. It was such a lovely experience. The food was super yummy and the Kristof customized a few sushi options for me because I am vegan. He was super friendly, was very nice to talk to, and really treated us super well. I recommend everyone to go :)

My girlfriend and I love sushi and we were incredibly surprised with a great and qualitative selection of beautifully served sushi rolls, makis, nigiris or hosomakis. We are also under impression of a professional and impeccable service. Last, but not least, my palate was pleased with a subtle taste of freshly grated wasabi! As my girlfriend says “Better than Nobu!”

My lunch at Sakan was far above expectations. Simply it was the best shushi I had in a very long time. I ordered ghioza, a Chef's Chirashi, a 3x3 sashimi, and some side shitake mushrooms. Portions were abundant and maybe it was to much, but I enjoyed every bite. Starting with ghioza which were served with a delicious hot sauce. The fish was premium ( I had salmon, tune, sea-bass, and makarel...all good). The dish were also presented very nicely, and in the sushi there was some black and red caviar on top. All together it was a great experience, and before leaving Krakow I will definitely come back. Last but not least, the bill was fair, so good value for money. Recommended!!

I was there last month with my family. We felt unwelcome because we have small babies. Just like they want only adults. We paid well over 500 PLN and sushi was average. Tempura shrimp was served cold etc.... We won't come back

We are very concerned in your opinion. Our restarant offers Kids Menu every day. In normall time without Covid offers Kids Corner, Sunday Sushi lessons for Kids for free and many more. If you can explain us what happend that you fill unfriendly in our Restaurant? We are sorry for our mistakes, if they happens we always serv new ones for our guests

We came here attracted by the very positive reviews, but i must say the final result was quite average. In my opinion sushi here is just average, but prices are definetely not. Overpriced in every aspect. I was in Japan so i can definitely say what is close to the real deal, but this was not even close to a good european sushi. Furthermore, some choices were not available we got instead of that some fried mixed plate and it was really not worth the price. Next time i will look for different place if i am in Krakow and want to eat good sushi.

I love sushi and hunt it out everywhere I go. Unfortunately this visit was expensive and not great.
Maki arrived with untrimmed ends and was chilled (first rule of sushi, don’t serve fridge cold!!). Spicy miso soup was inedible, the miso soup had no tofu in it. The ordering experience was a disaster with mixed up dishes and we didn’t get one of our dishes at all.
The sashimi was good and the layout attractive but the above points ruined the experience.

Eveything taste the same. I eat sushi really often but in this place rice is without any taste and nori is not premium quality. I know how taste good rice and how smell good quality nori. We ate this sushi because we were hungry.
It looks good but not worth to waste time.
We ate other sushi in Krakow but we wanted to taste new place.
I can not reccomend this restaurant.
If you want to have sushi orgasm- don't go there!
In Krakow are better sushi restaurants.

If you love sushi, this is the place to go in Krakow. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, but the fish... just perfect!!! Highly recommend while ordering another set:)
In particular try various flavours, from sweet to sour, while picking sets with different fish kinds.
Selection is also vast so definitely have to come back for more.

I come here every year for date with my husband and we are never disappointed. The sushi set is always high quality and after years tastes great with professional served plum wine. The service is balanced with friendlyness and professionalism alltogether. Take a table next to window with wide landskape and warm sunlights comming through the glass.

The best sushi we had in a very long time! Taste and attention to details exceptional, watching the chef plate the sushi with such detail. Service really attentive and we actually had drinks poured for us which is amazing. Everything is really clean and really well looked after, you can tell that some really cares. Would definitely recommend!

I would like to strongly reccommend this place! Really fresh and delicious sets as well as fabulous staff. Michal has such an mpressive knowledge about all positions in menu, starting from the ingredients, through the tastes, ending with reccomendations. We loved the atmosphere. Hope to come back soon!

I lived in Krakow my whole life and I've been to most sushi places. This one is the best I've been to so far. We've tried taco with octopus, gyoza with shrimp, miso and kimchi soups, rock and roll set, uromaki gold and anago dragon roll. Every single thing was delicious. Futomaki tartar salmon in tempura is the one I'll remember for a long time :) place is in the quiet side of the city just a few minutes from the old square, next to Błonia, where you can go for a walk after a good meal. Our server, Paweł made sure that we feel comfortable here and served us with a pleasant smile. I am already planning next visit here.

Back after about a year and it's much better. It was good, it was very good. The food was great, apart from the octopus taco, everything was tip top. Sushi much better than before. Rich, well-composed, not overdone, 3/4 of rice and a bit of fish. It's the other way around. The sets are well arranged. This sushi with salmon tartare on tempura is amazing. The service is ok. It's true that when it comes to service, it's still not really professional, but it is very good. At this price level, these minor nuances of the service should already be respected. They are not, but the service is really very ok. Parking right next to the restaurant is a big plus. The downside is quite high prices. Unfortunately, you pay for quality, so it's ok, but it's quite expensive. The second disadvantage is the 10% service fee added in advance. If that's how it's supposed to be, then the service should be perfect. (Definitely not playing with your phone in the corner). Although 10% is the minimum that is due, adding the service fee is, in my opinion, excessive. This can be unfair, especially when ordering expensive alcohol. Such a policy usually disqualifies the place in our case.

Sakana is a Great Place to visit in a group or as a couple, as they offer many dishes to share. The open kitchen gives you the feeling of being in Japan in the middle of krakow.
