About
The Galicyjska Restaurant - for the unforgettable taste of Polish cuisine St. Pijarska 9, Krakow Within the 17th century vaults of a fine old residence located in the quiet of the famous Planty, our guests from Krakow and around the world are treated to the most delicious Polish cuisine. The Galicyjska Restaurant represents traditional "Noble" Polish cuisine, and specializes in serving game: our roast leg of wild boar is first marinated in juniper, rosemary and thyme, before being served with a delicious Żubrówka (Bison Vodka) sauce. As for fish, cod fillet in lemon sauce and mushroom risotto is particularly memorable. If a group of 4 people would like to try a wider range of Polish flavours,

Friendly staff, amazing food. Really good price. On arrival we were given complimentary hot wine which was delicious and especially welcomed due to the cold weather. Service was fast and efficient. Love the look inside. Definitely recommend.

Booked a table here purely as it was the closest Polish restaurant to our hotel. What a treat. Greeted by friendly staff and a glass of mulled wine. We had the mixed starter for two. Then I had the ribs and my friend had the...wild boar. All of the food was delicious. Very big portions. We rounded the meal off with the vodka tasters-4 shots each and then 3 of mead. And then another shot of complimentary vodka with the bill! Would highly recommended this place.More

Really good choice for Polish cuisine, in a very atmospheric setting. We were given a cup of mulled wine once we were seated and ordered local food and wine. We chose dumplings to start and the mixed main for 4 people, which was huge !...To finish we had the vodka selection, which was also great. A very nice evening out and was truly great valueMore

What a excellent place this is, from the free mulled wine on arrival to the excellent service throughout, the food was fantastic, we started with the dumplings which were lovely, the wild boar was full of flavour and just enough on the plate. The steak...wasn’t quite cooked enough as was pink in places, however was enjoyable along with the ribs as the meat was falling of the bone when cutting into them. The apple pie for dessert is amazing and the free apple vodka helped to was it down. The bill arrived and the price including service was surprisingly less than we expected. All in all a great place to eat that won’t break the bankMore

We appeared on a Monday night looking for a table for 5, around 7ish. They welcomed us, and found us almost the last, available table. The service was excellent throughout. The menu was interesting and even the 2 veggies had choices, and the kitchen made...a special effort to create main courses from the starters available. Super food, lovely atmosphere and excellent value for money. Food for the rest of the week can only go downhill from now on!More

We came on recommendation of our hotel and were not disappointed. The restaurant ambience is so warm and cosy with lots of candles everywhere. The food was traditional Polish cuisine (pierogi, oscypek, honey-beer ribs, beetroot soup, wild boar, etc.) and every dish was better than...the last. Also, try their vodka tasting - 4x20ml and they're lovely. Don't miss this on your trip to Krakow.More

Visited this lovely restaurant twice in a recent visit to Krakow having dined there on a previous visit 5 years ago. The first visit was superb. Food to die for, service superb. Couldn't fault it. Second visit, food superb but the waiter appeared to think...we were on a speed eating trip. Sat down at 7.15 pm ish and if he'd had his way we would have been out, having had starter main and dessert by 8.00pm!!!!! That said, the food is absolutely superb and well worth a visitMore

An underground, Galician restaurant serving tasty local food in an old-fashioned ambiance. I had the wild boar with potatoes and sides and as a dessert a splendid apple pie. Service provided by the staff was friendly and helpful. A shot of fruity vodka is served...for free every dinner. Recommend.More

A very authentic Polish restaurant with a very fitting menu for its surroundings. All a bit "80's" to me, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. Big flavours, big sauces, rich food, and big wines bring back that lovely BIG meal nostalgia feeling. No messing...around here. Good food, great tastes and impeccable service. We left stuffed and happy, whats not to like. Highly recommended.More

Fantastic venue for a wedding party and dinner. We hosted a dinner celebration for our wedding at Galicyjska Restaurant. The venue was perfect - great location (close to the main square and park), romantic, beautifully decorated private room, with a separate room for dancing. The...food was delicious- we chose a set menu and tailored some food and drink for our event. The manager and staff were so very helpful and really help to make our night special. We really recommend this restaurant for an event.More

This place was recommended by our daughter at the edge of the old town it has a wonderful atmosphere in The cellar with great service and very tasty food. We tried the dumplings and then both had the very tasty wild boar in a vodka...sauce with roast potatoes and battered broccoli. Which was tender and delicious . The waiter greeted us with a glass of cider, a nice touch, a nice wine menu we chose the NZ Sauvignon blanc. We were too full for a dessert but we’re given a glass of Polish apple vodka. Lovely service and ambience highly recommend.More
