Nice looking place at the main square. Staff was friendly, but food was not very tasteful. Typical average quality.

The food we ordered was very tastey, hot and spiced just right. The waiter was very patient and exained the different dishes to us. He came every few minutes to ask if the food was to our liking. Excellent experience for our first day in...Krakov. The dishes were very large, more than enough for 3 people.More
My title of this review spoilt the evening. Yes, the restaurant is well laid out and the decor lovely. However I don’t come for that, I visit for the food and good service. For the prices charged, I expected better, dry pork, and small portions....The service was good, however it all went a little off when we asked for the bill. Our bill came to 550 Zlotys, and without hesitation the waiter said “I think 55 Zlotys for a tip would be good”. I’m sure it would, but unfortunately the days of 10% have now gone for me, especially when they demand it.More
So we had dinner here tonight because we wanted to try the Oscypek grillowany which is the grilled smoked cheese they offer as an appetizer. It was super! That, the bread they give you and wine and it was the perfect meal. We tried two...of the desserts, which were OK. The Wesele cake was a raspberry cake and the Racuch z Jabtkami z sosen vanillowym (a traditional dessert) was chunks of apples fried in what appeard to be funnel cake dough with powdered sugar on top. That was better than the cake, but could have used some cinnamon. The service was not bad and since the restaurant was in the square, the prices are higher than what you'd find elsewhere, but not crazy bad. There were other items on the menu that looked good, but we didn't try them.More
We went to this restaurant several times during our stay in krakow. Nice atmosphere inside and good place outside on the busy main square. For us, the food was great, we loved the black pudding, the game pate and the broth with noodles was delicious....The goose is excellent!More
The cheesecake was excellent! BUT: I ordered trout for the main dish and I got 2 square cm slice of thin fish and only fish!, nothing else on the plate, for ca. 16 Euro (74 PLN). Let's be honest, for Poland, even for Krakow, this...is a rip-off! Being a local I know that trout is a local inexpensive type of fish. How much would they have to spend to add half a boiled potato? The service was polite, but I got my espresso way before I got the dessert. And we waited forever for the plates to be taken away. Spliting the bill at my table was not a problem, but the (foreign) guests at a table nearby were informed that if they wanted to split the bill, they would have to do the counting themselves. I can see we are adopting American standards: the waiter asking the guests what kind of tip they want to be included in the bill. Good they ask (at least in my case) the customary (for Poland) 10%, not 20% as in the US. The food, amount of food and service used to be better last year. What a pity. I suppose that's the fate of most restaurants in Rynek, at one point stoping to care about their guests, because with this location they will always have guests.More
Very good service from the staff they give me a very nice table in second floor with view in square and the food was very tasty thank you very much
The food was ok, but expensive compared to the quality of what we were served. In addition, the waiter caused a total mess when we had to pay for the meal. He asked if we wanted to pay a 20 percent service charge. We wondered...why he suggested 20% since the menu said 12.5%. He explained that 12.5% was for the building and interior, not the waiter. After some discussion, we partly accepted his explanation. We asked if he could split the bill, something he should check. He returned and told us that he could split the bill with a 10% service charge of the total amount for each family. We asked why not he added the service charge according to the actual amount which was 1/3 and 2/3 of the total bill for each family. He replied: “It's very complicated”. I offered to pay the whole bill to make it easier. It was impossible to understand the waiter and his explanations of why this also was difficult. When we received the bills he had added 23% to the bills (see picture) and when we confronted him with that he said it was National taxes. We all resigned! We experienced much better and cheaper places to eat in Krakow: Old Town Restaurant Wine & Bar Dolabella Due Restauracja Pod Zlotym Karpiem Restauracja Stodola 47 Kolanko No 6More
We loved Wesele so much we went twice in six days. Having found Wesele on our first night in Krakow we enjoyed it so much we made a reservation for later in our stay. Everything about Wesele was perfect on both occasions. The welcome, the...service and our food was absolutely outstanding. If only we lived in Krakow - this would be a regular haunt. If in Krakow - please eat at Wesele, you’ll love it too.More
Excellent service. Food was delicious. Usual Polish fare but very refined and delicate. Decor is dated but the food and service is completely worth it. Location is also fab.
We visit this restaurant every time we come to Krakow. The food is amazing , the staff are so friendly, the restaurant is beautiful and traditional. It has a very special , unique feeling . Cleanliness is outstanding in every area. I have and will...keep recommending Wesele to anyone visiting the square.More
I simply love everything about this place! Pleasant staff, tasty food, gorgeous atmosphere. I totally recommend it and I’ll visit it again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. It was so cosy, very inviting and the food was scrumptious. Highly recommend.
We had a nice lunch. I enjoyed my Traditional Polish pork chop with bone, my husband fell in love with his dumplings. Friendly stuff and nice atmosphere
The ambiance and the service are nice, prices are on the high end (almost double of other good restaurants in the area), but food, though nicely played, is acreage. Three duck was dry and served with overly sweet apple mouse. Chicken Kiev was just a...chicken schnitzel with butter. A dinner to forget.More
