The waitress was very kind and I felt good there, on my own. The wine was also good, but a bit expensive. Free apetizer and bread, what was very kind. My main dish was excellent (!!), fish with caviar and crayfish sauce. If you would...like to have a more luxury dinner in Krakow, this is the place. In the end I paid only €32!! Would go back for sure :-)More

When we came to Szara Ges the manager told us that there was a large conference on so there was a slightly reduced menu. I expected this to affect the food or service but not at all! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome...and the staff were so attentive. We had a young male waiter who seemed to thoroughly enjoy his job and who knew a great deal about the dishes. He was friendly and keen to make sure that we had a great experience. Our food was divine. Many things that we had never tried and that were absolutely delicious. Their signature desert, the Grey Goose was a much fun and we could see customers all around the room delighted by how it was served. If we were to return to Krakow we would definitely come back to Szara Ges. It was such a memorable part of our trip.More

We had high expectations going to this restaurant. It was a top recommendation from the concierge from a 5 star hotel in Krakow. The service was good but not Michellin Gourmand quality because it was too snooty. I found most similarly rated restaurants far more...genuine. The biggest problem is the food. The flavors of all the dishes were very sweet, strange and off-putting. Foie Gras was completely unedable and quickly replaced with goose broth with dumplings (the only tasty dish on the menu). It was followed by duck leg confit, good but again very sweet, and a filled of beef, overcooked bland and sweet. While the restaurant is beautifully designed and has amazing potential. In my opinion should be skipped until chef finds his voice. It's a pitty. Such high hopes!More

Always a mistake to return to a special restaurant? Yes, if this is an example. Wonderful setting, but very few changes to the menu, the traditional pork chop I ordered was incredibly bland. It had. A spinach crumb effect on the outside and little flavour…...Their special dessert was lovely still. In terms of cost, extras appeared mysteriously on the bill…maybe they are too influenced by the tourist trap potential of the area in Stare Miasto? There are other better options away from the main square.More

This place is wonderful. The staff speak perfect English which is refreshing in Poland. The dishes are exquisite. And the attention to detail is just spot on. Highly recommended to anyone staying in Krakow- it's a must! Thank you for making our evening so special!

I rarely write bad reviews so buckle up. To start with the waiter said they were fully booked and walked away with a pole up his backside. We then tried to book with his colleague for the following evening only for him to come back...to say they had a table available (how did the availability of the restaurant changed within 15 seconds?). Poor start but we were still hoping for great food. Then came the mains….. we ordered three dishes; the pork, the duck and the beef tenderloin along with three sides (cabbage, broccoli and potatoes). Let’s start with the sides: - Cabbage: tasted like MDMA - Broccoli: Tasted like soap - Potatoes: Boiled in pond water Now the mains: - Beef: no seasoning and tasted like play dough - Duck: actually not so bad (B-) - Pork: covered in this weird green frog spawn and dryer than a bucket of sand To top it off the manager was extremely militant and treated his staff so terribly I could have cried. How this place is so highly rated I do not know. Very concerning indeed!More

We had dinner having a table by the window facing the main square .The design and style is more than perfect covered by a Gothic architecture ceiling . Most probably a historical building. Food is excellent , prices are reasonable for this level of restaurant...( with tip we payed 110 Euro as a couple) . Variety in the menu is limited but this is the case for all the restaurants of this kind. Service people do their job excellent but are not smiling , but for some reason this is the case for nearly all the restaurants of this kind. Overall ? A beautiful experience that you should not miss. Tip: Avoid sitting outside because this will cancel part of your experience .More

One of the best designed restaurants in the whole of Poland, this restaurant is a delight for the eyes. The sister of fames Koggel Moggel in the same city unfortunately does not match the quality of the décor with the quality of the food. My...beef cheeks where hard, they where short of two more hours of slow cooking (and I do eat them a lot, so I know how they should taste). The waiter remarked that he never had a complain like that and he would reduct them from the bill. Fair enough, but the dinner was spoiled. A pity for such a nice place. Also the house desert, which I had before and which was a great show, did come without the special effects (liquid ice), so it was my last time at that place.More
