At the first floor of an old palace close to the Main Square. Not very visible, frankly. It is both a cozy eating bar and an elegant restaurant. Young staff, friendly, speaks English. Good food, traditional. Good prices.

Decided to have something to eat. Menu outside looked ok so we walked in upstairs. They didn’t allow us to sit in a nicer area so we went to more casual room. We sat by the window so the view was nice. Waitress was polite....More

Great room and decor, with lovely mood. My own food, borsch and chicken were fine if not exciting. My wife's experience was different. First an order for Pepsi light was taken from menu, then 'sorry we have run out'. There is a shop 75 metres...More

Super cool place that plays jazz. We heard the music wafting in the street and found this place upstairs one night. Katarina the bartender is lovely as was the entire staff. We had a few cocktails but didn’t eat dinner as it was about 23:30/11:30pm...More

We went there on a family dinner, the place was chosen on an ad hoc basis. We had excellent zurek soups, and the borsc was also tasty. Good pirogi - we were experiencing the local stuff. Cheese-cake and apple-pie were also good. Friendly service. Recommended....More

We were looking for a restaurant that served traditional food on a Friday night which was quite hard as most places were already full. We found this gem not far from the old city square. The decorations were old fashioned which excited me about the...More

We ate at this restaurant on our first night in Kraków. We thought we were in a old black and white film set, the decor was stunning! The food was also really good and inexpensive. Two of us had the pork lion which was very...More

Description
Gruszka Nova is a new restaurant set in a historical, 14th century tenement house, at the heart of Cracow Old Town, with views on the Main Square. Our cuisine is a contemporary approach to traditional Polish cuisine. Chef Adam Zegan's refreshed recipes include the classics like sour rye soup or borsch, but also wild boar, goose or mutton dumplings and high quality beef ribs - all this prepared from fresh, local ingredients. Every meal can be accompanied by a glass of Polish wine or a pint of local beer from Cracow's microbreweries. The place has been associated with Cracow's society of artists and journalist since the end of 19th century, and for over 60 years now operates along with the Polish Journalists' Club. You might stumble upon a live music act on weekends as well :) See You there!
