INDIA MASALA Restaurant invites you on a culinary journey to India. The diversity of Indian cuisine, prepared in our restaurant will cater to the tastes of anyone looking for a new culinary experience. In our menu card you will find a wealth of Indian dishes from various regions of India, ranging from the milder dishes of the northern part of the country, ending with very sharp dishes such as Vindaloo, typical for the region of Goa. Our chefs from India, specialize in dishes prepared in a tandoor oven. This is a clay oven in the shape of the jar and the food prepared in it has a unique flavor and aroma. Marinated meats are pre-baked from the outside while remaining soft and juicy inside, and the bread is very crisp. These dishes are called tandoori. In our kitchen we use only fresh vegetables and meat, less processed ingredients and a wealth of Indian spices, such as cardamom, cumin, turmeric, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chilli, fenugreek and many others. Our chefs use a special blend of spices - MASALA, composed especially for you, dear guests. GOOD culinary EXPERIENCES !!!

Delicious Indian food, where you decide how hot your dish should be.
Really good for the price. We were 2 people and got 2 starters, 2 main courses and 1/2 liter of the house wine. We paid just under 240 zlotys incl. service.
The service is friendly and welcoming. The location is very central just behind st. Mary's church in a quiet square.
We sat outside, but it was also really cozy inside - especially the sofa areas in the basement.

What a meal!!!! From start to finish was given tasty food, and excellent service!!!
Drinks served quickly, starters were bigger portions than expected especially the sizzling chicken tikka, food was tasty, spiced perfectly and well priced !!!
Would highly recommend
To anyone coming krakow to try here

Really tasty indian. We got 2 curries, 2 naans, 2 rices, 2 drinks, onion bhaji starter and this came to around £35 which is very respectable for that amount of food. The Onion Bhaji's were the best I have ever had. The curries were very tasty however if you are a spice lover like me, make sure you get the most spicy option, as we chose the middle option and it was not that spicy. The service was excellent and probably the nicest servers we had in Poland. Definitely recommended.

Terrible! We had pre booked a table and arrived to be seated in the back area near the bar. No atmosphere. Waited an hour until I had to ask for a drink, followed by another 20 minutes before asking again and the waiters do not understand English so had to ask each other to see what it was we ‘wanted’. Time went on and we had to ask again when our poppadoms would arrive and the waiter said he doesn’t know as he has 4 other tables. We then asked for the bill to just pay for our drinks and he said he needs to ask his manager if we can leave. All of a sudden the food arrived ten minutes later to what can only be described as a microwave curry. We love Indian food but this was a complete disappointment for our first night in Krakow. We left majority of the food. On the way out you can see other tables feeling the same way we did!
Do not recommend!!

Ordered the Madras medium spice, no flavor at all when I complained the server was very argumentative and offered a free wine which we declined. When we went to pay the server was very impatient and completely unsympathetic of the situation. There was no effort to reconcile the problem or offer adequate compensation so if you’re looking for pleasant customer service and good food, keep looking

Have went here 3 times, 1st time approx 3 years ago was amazing 10/10, last year it was 6/10, we thought we would try again, but this time round i'd rate it 2/10 only reason it is getting a 2 instead of 0 is because the butter nan was nice! My korma, rice and meat were all cold, I told the waiter who was uninterested and I pointed out the candle was not lit when food arrived and perhaps that was the reason, he reported it went out when he was carrying food out from kitchen...he never relit it! The restaurant itself was cold. If you are looking for a nice warming Indian, avoid this place! Said waiter also thought our 25 zlt change was a tip even though it's only like £5, why would I tip a very poor experience! So I left cold hungry and £5 down! 3 years ago the place was so busy this year it was dead on a Saturday night...avoid at all costs!!

Visited this restaurant on November 1st. We were offered a choice of seats being quite early there were plenty. The waiter was very friendly although seemed to be in a hurry to take our order not giving us much time to peruse the menu.
We placed a hurried order waited about 45/50 minutes while listening to nightmarish music. The plates were cold by the time we were served. The food was standard Indian fare nothing special. We decided we would not hurry back here as there are better Indian restaurants in Krakow.

Starters of onion baj and pakora was very nice. Asked for a medium strength Lamb vindaloo and the wife had Chicken Tikka Masala.
Mains were very ordinary, Masala didn’t taste of Masala and the Vindaloo was just tomato! The actual meat was very nice, rice nice and garlic naan good!
Unfortunately, when the mains were that average, you can’t rate it any higher!

This restaurant i do have to say is a very mixed review!
I always think a restaurant is made by the welcome you’re given upon arrival. When we arrived the gent didn’t seem bothered by what i was saying and wasn’t quite understanding that i had booked a table for the window. Wasn’t given a window table but wasn’t too bothered about that. The service was good and efficient and didn’t take long before coming round and taking our order.
My partner really enjoyed his chicken tikka masala; i ordered a lamb masala and had the opposite opinion. I was a bit poorly the day after however u can’t be sure it was the restaurant food that made me ill!
When handed the bill it was made very clear that the service was not included on the bill by the waiter.
We ordered 2x curry, 1x rice 2x sides (naan and agloo tikka) a beer and a bottle of water.
The bill came to 170pln which is £35.00 which is not too bad and would be a lot more back in the UK!
I wouldn’t say i would never go back but it would not be my first option

We had booked here for our last night meal, originally booked a table for 9pm, restaurant then accommodated us to arrive early at 8:30pm. By 9:30pm we still hadn’t received any popadoms - we were not given any plates or cutlery so had to ask numerous times for this. We’re given 4 small cups of mint/spicy dip between 14 people , do not ask for mango chutney - you will get peach puree 🤢 by 10:30pm we hadn’t received our mains. Other tables arriving at least 45 mins or over after us and being served within 20 mins.Their excuse it’s a small table, so we paid for drinks and popadoms and left so I can’t comment on the food.
Rather disappointed in the level of service considering we had booked so the restaurant were expecting a large group

Overall, all this was lovely. the taste was amazing. Need to try something different next time. 2 of us had chicken curry, rice nan bread and chips and drinks each cost £27 for the 2 of us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only reason I don't give a 5 star is that the toilets are downstairs. Everywhere I seem to go, the toilets are downstairs. Struggle with steps. But I'm sure there must of been a disabled toilet somewhere.

I don't recommend it, probably the worst Indian restaurant in Krakow. Tasteless dishes, drinks counted x2, x3 on the bill even though we ordered one piece 😮💨 it's very difficult to communicate about Poland even though we are in the heart of Krakow. Tragedy

Guided by good opinions, I went to Indian Masala. I usually visit other Indian restaurants in Krakow and I should stick to my choice. I ordered my favorite lentil soup. I was extremely disappointed. I was given a bowl of yellow water. The service also leaves much to be desired. In the empty restaurant, no one paid any attention to me. I had trouble communicating because the waiter doesn't speak Polish and it's also difficult to speak English. The restaurant seems to be focused only on Indian customers. I won't go back there again. Personally, I don't recommend it.

We just happened upon this restaurant and decided to give it a go. Before ordering I visited the loo to wash my hands and check them out for cleanliness. Spotless, to be honest. We didn't really like the very small seating area so I asked to move, which was no issue. I ordered the Indian soup which was excellent, garlic Naan and Biryani. Everything was really good,but could be a little bit spicier if that's your preference. Our Waiter was from Pakistan and he was very chatty and friendly. Everyone around us was saying their food was great, so I'm surprised at some of the Reviews. Food was not too expensive and we left a cash tip. I would definitely go back. My only complaint was that the food came out too quickly and could be a bit spicier.

I don't recommend it, it's supposed to be Indian cuisine but it's managed by the invaders, all Muslims.... The ordered dishes were supposed to be mild, we probably got the spiciest possible version.... paneer, old, heated, 1 cm coal crust and tasteless.... No option cash payments... Not a very positive experience. I won't come back and I don't recommend it even hostilely.
