Good location, huge portions, interesting interior and atmosphere. Always crowdy (in the positive meaning).

My favourite all-round place in Krakow, we visited 3 times on our recent stay. I've been here several times before, and it still holds up well, although a lot of other Krakow eateries and bars have caught up in terms of quality since I last visited. We came for lunch, evening beers and a light snack on 3 separate occasions,... More

Had two meals here in our 5 nights in Krakow and could easily have eaten here every night - amazing choice and quality and extremely good value for money - think German beer hall..... The Pig is definitely King but they do it so well......

The food was not bad and it was low warm when we got it. The portions are huge but the quality is not the best. The waiter was really rude and they brought first the food and after the drinks we ordered!

I was 3 times in Pod Wawelem. You must have a reservation to get there. The waitors and waitresses are stressed, tired and a bit agressive. The portions are huge, I was glad if I could eat half of it. The offer is mostly traditional, I would recommend żurek, a slightly sour soup, that is my favourite. In the evening... More

We went to dinner here after we saw it the night before and it looked like fun place to go. We actually weren't expecting much from the food but it was delicious. I had the Zurek soup and then the veal schnitzel, I only wish I had enough room in my stomach to eat it all. My husband had the... More

It wasn't until we sat down we realised we had already eaten in this restaurant, well not this restaurant; sorry, sounds confusing. This is one of a chain of restaurants with the same menu. We ate in Warsaw (Podwale) & also in Krakow main square (Cafe Sukiennice), same menu. Nothing wrong, indeed excellent restaurant chain, so long as you want... More

We've eaten here before out of season and it was great, but we wouldn't go back. We waited about 15 minutes for a table so our expectations were high. They wouldn't let us purchase a drink whilst waiting. As soon as we were seated it was clear they wanted to turn us round as quick as possible. Before we had... More

We recently ate here during our trip and it was perfect! I'm not claiming the food is 5* but it was definitely enjoyable and a great price. The seating area was lovely in the evening, a perfect spot to enjoy a mean and few drinks. Be warned the portions are massive, I highly recommend the kebab!
