Great place for a fast lunch - meals came quickly and were pretty tasty, even the picky kids found something they liked on the menu. Potato pancakes were a hit and the staff were generally friendly and very helpful. Would probably eat here again if...I was in the area and needed a quick low-key bite to eatMore

It’s one of the best choices if you want to eat something after the castle visit. It’s a bit cheaper than in the Main Square. It has a pretty standard menu. Nothing innovative buy you can have a good meal. We had a quick snack...and some tea. The staff was friendly and helpful. I really liked the painting of a dragon on the wallMore

My twin brother Stephen and I had just visited the magnificent Wawel Castle and Cathedral when we decided to drop into this cafe bar we've visited on previous trips to Krakow, always had a great time here and so it proved on our latest visit. I...love the look of this cafe bar ,interior is cosy ,it's got a light and airy interior ,lovely decor and furnishings and cool wall art ,there's also plenty of seating options,it's a great place to chill out in . We were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of staff ,we ordered coffee and cakes ,coffee was served steaming hot and the almond cakes were amazing. From the first sip of coffee you know it's a quality coffee ,so tasty ,the cake that we had with the coffee was just what we needed ,a good sugar boost ,an absolutely great coffee and a superb cake and great value for money. We moved on after our coffee and cakes and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Pod Smocza Jama Restauracja is easy to locate along Ulica Podzamcza,in the shadow of the beautiful castle and cathedral. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

We were a group of 8 and everyone liked this food! For days we were looking for something good and in this place everyone enjoyed it. Salmon was great, pork was good but the fried trout was the best! Highly recommend!

In a touristy area there's always a difficulty to find a good restaurant. These wasn't on of those. The prices were cheap but the food wasn't so great and the service too. If you really don't care what your food tastes like and you only...care about the price this might be the place for you. Also the tables and seats were so tightly fitted that it was hard to sit and stand up.More

My mom and me found this place accidentally as we were sightseeing. As there were a lot of locals enjoying their meal rather then tourists we decided to give it a try. And it was a wise choice. The food was delicious, plentiful but also...very budget friendly. We came back the next day. Staff is very nice.More

Great location across from the Wawel Castle. It is themed around the dragon myth of Kraków, making it great for tourists, but it also has delicious authentic Polish food. Staff could communicate in both Polish and English and had menus in both languages. Definitely one...of my family’s favourite restaurants on our trip to Kraków. Highly recommend!More

This place was a typical polish small restaurant, with national food. I ordered "Placki Ziemniaczane" (potato pancakes), and it was delicious. Definitely a place you should visit, to get real polish dishes!

Before starting a tour of the wonderful Wawel Castle and Cathedral complex we thought we would drop into this cafe bar for a strong hot coffee as it was minus 10 outside and we needed warming up,we've been to Pod Smocza Jama Restauracja a few...times on previous holidays to Krakow and always enjoyed our visits here and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this cafe bar, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar,the cool mural of the famous Krakow Dragon looks awesome, it's just one really good place to unwind in. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Friday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who took our order of a flat white coffee each, after a relatively short wait our coffees arrived steaming hot and we just chilled out and took in the great cafe bar we in. My coffee was outstandingly good, you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve. We really enjoyed our coffee's in in here and although we only stayed for the one coffee each before we moved on as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Pod Smocza Jama Restauracja is easy to locate on Ulica Podzamcza,it's facing the wonderful Wawel Castle and Cathedral complex. Most definitely well worth checking out.More
