The restaurant is very cozy; delicious food. Large portions for the money. The staff and manager was very accommodating. The atmosphere was SUPER! The location is perfect if you want to travel Oswiecim, also know as Auschwitz in United States. It is a beautiful town...with history. I must say the party was awesome the food, the dancing the staff made it the perfect celebrations. Thank you all. We will return when we visit Poland 🇵🇱 again. As an American in a foreign country the old tree staff went over and above to. Make my stay perfect! It will definitely be out place to stay.More

Stopping off to visit friends nearby, we had a meal at old tree villa. The kids were catered for with some tasty chicken nuggets and chips. The adults were recommended the steak as it is aged on site, to our surprise a large cut of...beef fillet was finished at the table, cut and served with plentiful and varied vegetables, salad, butters, gravy and chips. THE best steak I have had for as long as I can remember, and with the pound zloty exchange rate it was amazing value too! Added bonus was a well equipped child’s playroom don the hall so a great meal all round. We left very glad we chose to visit old tree villa and highly recommend it 👌🏻More

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant. We ordered fillet steak which was made to perfection and beautifully served! Portions were big and everything was fresh and home made. There is a lovely play room adjacent to the restaurant so the kids could play a...bit too which was really great. Very good value for money as well. Cheap as peanuts compared to similar type of food in an average restaurant in UK. Service was very nice, we felt very welcome and well looked after. I can highly recommend the place for a small family meal or for a bigger function as they do organise those as well.More

We had a hotel booked in Kraków but to get from Kraków to Auchwitz for the 8am tour was a £50 cab ride and no buses or trains running at that time of morning, so we decided to book a hotel nearby to make it...easier. With this place, you very much get what you pay for, the rates are cheap but you get a room with a bed, hot running water and breakfast the next morning. Staff on arrival were rushed checking us in as reception closed at 10pm and we arrived at 9.45pm, weren’t given password to WiFi or any information, just sent to our room with no directions! The room is basic and really just what you need for a 1 night stay, the staff were nice enough to let us have breakfast the next morning at 7am instead of 8am and booked us a taxi to Auchwitz and allowed us to keep our bag at the hotel. Overall, ideal location if visiting Auchwitz but I personally would not recommend for a long stay!More

We stopped here for a late lunch. The service was okay although we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. The meal consisted of soup, which was okay. and then we had something which was very much like a terrine/meat jelly with...a gravy poured over the top. The flavour was very bland. Overall disappointing. I see the premises also have accommodation.More

If you want to experience how it was to be treated in a restaurant during communist times, this is where you should go. Client is treated as a problem instead of a welcomed guest . The server was very nice but was soon as we...ordered a side dish for our 3 years old due to the fact that the only thing from kids menu was nuggets and fries the problem begun. It’s not possible to order anything besides what is in the menu. If we want a side dish it’s not possible , we need to order the entire dish... No changes possible , even you pay extra ... Just no , no and no. We ordered soup just with noddles and broth. No additives ... When we received the soup , that add additives that we asked not to put .... and we complained about it, the manager just asked us to leave the restaurant . The dishes are served as it is and no changes are possible to be made. Doesn’t matter if the guest is a child or not . They have a way of serving and if the client doesn’t like it, it’s the clients problem ... And that’s how we got kicked out of a restaurant !!!! I’m just surprised how someone invests so much money in making a nice looking place and doesn’t care with costumer satisfaction at all. Worst costumer service ever !!!!More

We received a voucher to this restaurant from the hotel we stayed in (Old Tree Villa). As we are the kind of people who usually tend to stick to "cheap eats", we found their menu very fancy and interesting, and we all ended up trying something...new and different. The menu was in English and the staff were fluent in English as well. As there was a school class full of students dining at the same time with us, we were warned at the beginning that our food might take as long as 45min to be prepared, but we were fine with this. The food, once it finally arrived, didn't disappoint. For the price (which is on the high end for Poland), the portions could have perhaps been bigger. However, everything we ordered was very tasty. The staff were very friendly throughout, and as a hotel quest, it was possible to add the restaurant bill to your total hotel bill!More

Our meal here, was part of the auswitz and Krakow tour. Even if it was included in the total rate, it was quite bad quality food, small portions. I don't know if I we're supposed to visit it on my own, it might be better

The place was actually chosen randomly on our way Back from Auschwitz. The meals were very delicious and nicely presented. Also liked the apple cake, it was about tripple size than I expected. Was nice to be there. Thanks

Our meal was amazing. Dinner was cooked perfectly & dessert was to die for!! When dessert arrived we thought we were eating at a 5 star restaurant in a major city, not in a country town. An added bonus was that the meal was extremely...cheap.More

Wow, were we astounded by the quality of the food at Old Tree, not to mention the incredibly reasonable prices. We found this gem because we'd booked two nights at the hotel, and the aroma of the food lured us in. We ended up eating...dinner both nights here, along with breakfast both mornings. And we NEVER do that. We've stayed at more than a hundred hotels worldwide and rarely dine at hotel restaurants because they're typically so overpriced. Not at Old Tree. Portions are huge. The first night we ordered dumplings stuffed with potatoes and cheese, along with roasted chicken on a mountain of cooked spinach, with sides including cole slaw, red cabbage salad and fries. We couldn't believe all that wonderful food for about $15 USD. Prior to dinner our very charming server asked if she could make us drinks. Hubby ordered orange juice, and she actually squeezed the oranges herself to make the juice - the freshest I've ever tasted. I ordered hot chocolate which arrived piled high with fresh whipping cream and chocolate shavings. My goodness, I've never had anything like it. Our drinks were under $2 USD each. The second night our server, a very pleasant young man, recommended the beef roulade with gravy, red cabbage, and silesian potato dumplings. We started with an order of tomato rice soup. Again just heavenly, every last bite. The beef nearly melted in my mouth. I ordered a mojito, loaded with fresh mint leaves and lime slices, and Hubby ordered coffee with Baileys. Our entire bill for night two was about $20 USD. Old Tree served some of the best food we've eaten worldwide, and that includes 35 countries. I wish the restaurant was located in my hometown.More
