Courtyard Hotel manager recommended Karczma Polska Pod Kogutem, a delightful 15 minute walk, for a traditional Polish meal. It didn’t disappoint! Service was excellent, friendly, and soups, bread, and pierogi was exceptional! Beautifully decorated with many fine old pieces, paintings, and other artifacts of country life.

A taste of Poland. A solid menu where there is something for everyone. The food is tasty and good sized portions. I recommend goulash soup in bread and pierogi, so good! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Charming and cozy environment.

For this money you can expect better food and certainly better service. The broth tasted like water in which someone had soaked the chicken for a while and poured in some oil. Fillet steak hard and underseasoned. However, the worst service - a waitress who probably worked in an office before and confuses the customer with the petitioner. I do not recommend.
