I have visited this restaurant on multipel occasions over the last years. It is always a pleasure. Highly attentive staff and GREAT food. This is a great place to have a business meeting at or celebrate a birthday amongst friends. Personally, I do not thing the wagyu is worth the price and the other steaks (all of the best quality) just taste as good as the wagyu does. Yes, it is the most expensive restaurant in the area, but it is also the best one.

Everything that we have tried was perfect. Olives, bread, beef tartar, octopus, wine. Comparing to prices in Szczecin it is an expensive restaurant, but for 50 euro equivalent you can have starter, main dish and a glass of wine of the highest quality.

Thumbs up for Karkut, an excellent dining choice if you are in Szczecin. Meat and fish lovers alike can indulge in high-quality products, in a place where portions are just right (not as big as usually in Poland), the wine list is really good and the atmosphere is a tad upscale but still really relaxed. I also suggest getting there a bit early, to be able to enjoy a drink at the bar, (which we didn't, but the next time we certainly will), because it looks lovely. Service was great as well, so really, just go! :-)

It is a great pleasure to be able to go to restaurants in those hard times. I was invited by a friend of mine for workshops in Karkut Restaurant and it was a wonderful experience! I met the chef himself and he showed me the kitchen and I was able to cook my own steak and see how they prepare it in this great restaurant. The staff is outstanding, everyone has broad knowledge about food they serve, wines and drinks. The prices are high but overall I had a lifetime experience!

Looking form the outside the place creates high expectations and once you enter you realise they are ready to deliver. The interior is classy, without being intimidating, service is excellent but not overwhelming and the food is delicious yet not over complicated. This place is a full package, the one of the highest level.
Menu includes rare specialities, such as wagu stakes, jamon iberico debellota or galletto as well as local stake tartare, fish and seafood or international classics. Simple but quality starters at the beginning and excellent home made limoncello at the end seal the deal. Not to mention incredible choice of excellent wines, available also by glass.
This is a place that every respectable foodie cannot afford to miss. However be prepared for a hefty bill. Quality comes with a price.

From the very beginning, the restaurant has focused on quality and a very good assortment, which has been appreciated by guests in a short time. It is also worth mentioning that in the last year we have Increased the quantity of wines, and the selection was the result of the hard work of the team rather than distributors. The restaurant specializes in importing over 60 labels, which is very rare but arises from the need to purchase exceptional wines and vintages. This also applies to champagnes.

The food is great but we have experienced a few times that the service is lacking. Last night we went to enjoy their tasting menu. It was a full house and unfortunately we were placed halfway under the stairways with the empty boxes of wine and music equipment. We moved around a bit at the table and managed to be a bit more comfortable and the service started. It went well until the intermezzo the the waitor forgot about us and we waited more than an hour for the next dish (only served because we asked for it) we ran out of the wine and water and so it continued the rest of the evening and I had to step out to talk to another waiter to get our food moving. Then all was rushed and we Felt we were rushed out the restaurant. It was an expensive evening so being sat under a staircase and then forgotten about was not a great experience. This is the second time we experience bad service. A shame as the food is excellent once it shows up.

This time I tried Tomahawk steak. Meat was very tasty, cooking time was appropriate (med-rare). Once again I was positively surprised by nice approach by the staff. Interior looks very premium. If you are looking for nice place to meet with family/friends this restaurant should be obvious choice

Excellent service, despite a certain coldness on the part of the servers, perhaps due to the posh status of the restaurant.
Very good food, visibly on my neighbors' plates, because the beef cheek that I had ordered was, how can I put it, almost completely absent from the sauce on my plate. 5 small strips of beef cheek approximately 1cm x 5cm, including 3 pieces that are not really tender, I find that exaggerated...
45€ for such a dish and a glass of house wine... even in France we get away with less.
In short, super nice setting, chic atmosphere, but not really good value for money.

It is still my favorite restaurant, not only in Stettin but also in Poland. However, the menu - even is great and memorable - time to time needs some improvement/changes. The wine selection is impressive. The team of waiters very professional and accurate - congratulations and thanks a lot for hospitality. It is always my privilege and pleasure to be there.

Clearly trying to be a high class restaurant, it has achieved its ambition. Solo traveller made to feel very welcome with super service and very good food. The pierozki with beef and octopus was so good and the steak faultless. Make room for the sphere desert!

Properly the best resturent in Szczecin. Excellent service in a good atmosphere in a nice resturent with very good food and vine. Nice to experiance this development in Poland, Szczecin. Plan to visit again.

The food and service were very good. A top quality experience. And the decor is perfect.
Prices are high for Szczecin which is possibly why not so busy when I went. Or maybe just a light evening. Anyway if you would like a good dining experience this is one.

Karkut Restaurant, named after the German merchant Ferdinand Karkutsch (1813-1891), is considered the best restaurant in Szczecin and one of the leading restaurants in Poland. I visited Karkut for lunch in April 2023. Although I hadn't reserved, I quickly got a nice table by the window.
The ambiance of the restaurant is impressive. It is very attractively furnished and therefore also ideal for a rendezvous. Table no. 3 is probably the best and quietest place in the restaurant. In order to get this table, you should make a reservation in advance. In the case of a spontaneous visit without a reservation, you have to be very lucky to get this place.
For the dishes, I chose the beef tartare as a starter (for 110 PLN) and the "Karkut's Steak" (for 200 PLN) as a main course. The meat and its preparation was very good, but unfortunately not good enough for a restaurant that wants to be among the leading restaurants in Poland. I expected more. This is also the reason why I don't rate the restaurant five stars.
The wine selection is very impressive. The wine list includes about 160 to 170 wines from well-known wine regions around the world. Most of the wines are also offered by the glass. This is possible because the restaurant uses a technical device that allows the bottle to be opened without removing the cork.
The staff is very friendly, competent and attentive. There is nothing to complain about here. Small example: when flowers were presented to a guest at the table next to me, the waiter had a vase to hand even before the flowers were unwrapped.
The prices at Karkut Restaurant are high, not only for the locals but also for me as a German guest. While I paid about 300 PLN for a dinner at Muga Restaurant (the leading restaurant in Poznan) about two months ago, the bill at Karkut was 500 PLN. This price difference is not justified.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a restaurant in Szczecin for delicious food and high-quality wines, the Karkut is the first choice. For out-of-town guests, I recommend staying at the Courtyard by Marriott. This hotel is within walking distance to Karkut.

This is a perfect place in all dimensions ! I’m living too far from Szczecin, otherwise I will eat here every week.
First of all - design. Superb ! Perfect blend of an elegance and loft style (red bricks walls). Open kitchen, beautifully shown selection of meat and fish. There are also 3 very nice paintings done personally by the owner.
Service - very professional and knowledgeable.
Food - simply outstanding ! Whatever we ordered -from Spanish ham, through oysters, beef carpaccio to chateaubriand and locally developed steak, called simply Karkut steak - everything was super tasty and beautiful designed on a plates.
Last but not least - very interesting and wide, selection of wines, with our favorite of this evening coming from region Toro in Spain.
For sure, we will be back as soon as we will reach Szczecin again.
