NOVA SOPOT restaurant is located in the central point of Sopot, close to the main station and ul. Bohaterow Monte Cassino - the popular "monciak". NOVA SOPOT arose from the passion of its owners and from the desire to create a new, interesting cuisine based in traditional Polish cuisine, but also in a modern, visually attractive and tasteful edition.

Exceptional Service! My Mom 90th Birthday.

I couldn’t be happier with exceptional service I received organizing my Mom 90th Birthday Party dinner. Im not a resident of Sopot, but from the moment I called and talked to P. Michal and made a reservation I was convinced that Dinner party will be a success. I met with p. Basia who suggested menu choices and per my request created special customize menu. When we arrived for the party the table was beautifully decorated and we were greeted with all smiles. Our group consisted of 12 adults and 2 small children so it was a little challenging for the staff. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious dinner and concluded with an unbelievable birthday cake. A big thank you to the Chef and the entire staff for making my Moms special day a huge success. I highly recommend Nova Sopot.

A wonderful dining experience

Nova was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff are beyond friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was top-notch, wine selection near limitless, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was extremely jubilant. Very rarely have I been to an establishment where the staff’s charisma was so contagious that the patrons Fun interactions with them spread throughout other tables in such a positive way. 10/10 highly recommend.

Best steak ever

Popped in here for lunch on Sunday. It is a lovely little restaurant that has about 8 tables. The waiter was very attentive and spoke perfect English, much to my pleasure as my Polish amounts to Hello and Thank you. My friends ordered Pirogi and the Veggie bowl, both were very nice as I stole a taste of both. There was a steak advertised on the "Daily board" so I chose that. I am always a little worried when ordering steak as it is so easy to get it wrong. I requested it Rare to Medium thinking it would be on the more Medium side. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived, it was perfectly cooked and so very tender. The roast potatoes were also very good and the overall portion size was such that I could only eat all the steak and only half of the potatoes. The restaurant does not serve alcohol but was more than happy with the "Kompot" that we ordered. All in all, I would say a brilliant little restaurant. Not far from the main tourist route of Monte Casino, but seek it out and you will not be let down. 10/10

A flop, to say the least

We decided to visit encouraged by good reviews. After handing us menu, the waiter ignored us for 15-20 minutes, even though the restaurant was half empty. The ribs were awfully dry, I didn't manage to finish half of them. The duck was fairly good, but nothing exceptional. Afterwards, we wanted to order some cake, but the waiter AGAIN made us wait about 15 minutes. The cake (mango cheesecake) was delicious, unlike the coffee. Not once were we asked if the food was good. Overall a pretty unpleasant experience, we expected much more.

Unique feel about this bistro style restaurant

We were a group of 6 and found this on trip advisor and not disappointed at all. At first we were surprised that it was not licensed but they allowed us to pop out 40m to buy own own wine which was great. A very personal welcome was had with complimentary pate and bread , followed by delicious chicken broth and then salmon in kale sauce which was very well cooked. The dessert was a meringue delight Great place for a relaxed and wholesome experience

Positively: The room is clean and tidy. The owners are kind and nice. You can change your order as you want it. The food comes quickly. The service is ok anyway. Negative: This is a very small restaurant with few tables in a small area. It's very crowded. It is an apartment that has been converted into a restaurant. You can not order alcohol but need to bring your own. The owners are happy to tell everyone about the house's association that does not approve of them being allowed to sell alcohol. It feels like they want to make the rest of us hate the neighbors above. The food is mediocre. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is expensive compared to other places and not everyone in the party gets their food at the same time. The owners are happy to talk about other guests with existing guests in the room. The owners go around fishing for good reviews.

Tasty meal and great service

Came here a few days ago with my son for dinner. We turned up at 8.30pm and we were told that they closed at 9pm, which was a little bit of a rush, but we still had time to enjoy a lovely meal. The restaurant itself is bistro in style, the service was excellent, friendly and polite and the menu had some great options (although, note, they do not serve any alcohol at all). We placed our order and were brought some delicious bread, pate and sliced gherkins to whet our appetite! Then, to start, I had the herring in cream (23pln) decent sized and really tasty, whilst my son had the smoked salmon on a potato pancake with quail egg and caviar (32pln) which was also very good. For our mains I had the goose with potato dumplings and beetroot (55pln), I enjoyed the meat and beetroot although the dumplings were a little too filling for me – my son had the ribs in Jack Daniels sauce with chips and salad (51pln) which he really enjoyed. Good food, cosy place, great service.

Like in a real Polish home

Visiting the Sopot Nova is as close as possible to feeling at a Polish home, yet with a sense of novelty. The menu offers some traditional Polish dishes based on natural ingredients and home-made. At the same time, they introduce some innovative additions and forms, which makes it exciting to try your favorite dish. The staff is beyond friendly and extremely helpful, they have a great level of knowledge on the recipes and original of ingredients.

Excellent cuisine

Excellent cuisine, a delightful evening. We had a potato cake in a sauce of dried tomatoes and flambé liver for appetizers. Main dishes were pork tenderloin in mustard and honey sauce, and pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. Salty caramel ice cream for dessert. A climatic place. Nice staff, the only thing I could expect more is a slightly earlier and more tactful notification that they do not currently offer a wine list. Which does not change the very high rating, we definitely recommend this place.

A cozy intimate and delightful restaurant with excellent food and service

From the beginning to the end - a perfect restaurant experience. A warm and inviting atmosphere with a beautiful interior. Food was simply excellent, with a wide range of options. The chef managed to take traditional polish dishes to a new height by adding good creative twists. Every dish I tried was great. Atmosphere was enhanced by genuinly welcoming service. Managed brilliantly in the difficult COVID era demonstrated how much they care about providing a great experience. I came back a few times and look forward to many more visits.

Relaxed atmosphere coupled with great service and amazing food

What a find, lovely bistro atmosphere, attention to detail in everything, great service, our host was so friendly, felt like we were at his home and the food was out of this world. We all chose well and there was a variety of fish, meat and vege dishes. We enjoyed buying Polish beer to take with us from the local corner shop. You must try this restaurant.

Nova Restaurant Sopot

For a restaurant that is rated so highly I was extremely disappointed. The service we received was not customer friendly as you would expect from a respected restaurant. The starter of liver (chicken liver) was well cooked and tasty. However the pork chop on the bone (schnitzel) was very very poor. Over cooked and dry. I'm not a professional chef but I could have served a better meal. The accompaning potatoes where nice but the braised cabbage was bland and unappetising There are far more superior restaurants in Sopot. Definitely won't be back.

Nice place&service, but mediocre food.

The place itself is cozy and the service is good. When it comes to food, I was really disappointed. I got a fish soup with no fish flavour at all. My main dish was simply a boiled fish on 150 gr of boiled rice.

Outstanding Food and Staff

This is a great place to eat. We went here three times during our visit in Sopot. The food is visually pleasing and has a balance between flavours that makes Nova Sopot standout well beyond "standard restaurants". Some dishes we tested were: Salmon carpaccio served on a potato pancake with caviar and quail egg Traditional sour rye cream soup with white sausage and boiled egg (savvory, deep flavor) Ribs in Jack Daniel’s sauce with french fries and mixed salad (our children liked this, and me) Duck breast in orange sauce with potato dumplings and caramelized carrot (felt happy when eating this, superb dumplings combined with orange sauce) Last but not least for the staff: You were super frendly and social and you have a good thing going with Nova Sopot. Very friendly service

We have been twice and have been met by very friendly service both times. All of the food has been to a very high standard with quality ingredients, great taste and very good presentation. The highlight was the Chicken Liver starter which was melting on the tongue and packed with flavour. We will definitely love to come back when we visit Sopot.
