Zlota, in German “Gold”, prepares you the best Pierogi in the whole area! For me personally THE best Pierogi in Poland so far. The Zlota also became known for its pierogi in 2012. Great Polish restaurant in Kolberg

We went to this beautiful restaurant for dinner. Everything was delicious and a lot of effort was made to provide us with the most delicious Polish food. Unfortunately, some dishes were no longer available because there was a lot going on in the city during the day, but the kitchen and the service made a lot of effort to make up for this. Pancakes were baked especially for the two little ones in our group who actually wanted to eat potato pancakes. The price/performance ratio was great.

Excellent pierogi and pfannkuchen

My wife and I had an early dinner one very cold evening in November. This is a nicely decorated cozy café/restaurant with a welcoming and helpful staff. We had the beetroot soup as a starter, spicy and very tasty. As the main course, we chose an assortment of pierogi ( 4 different kinds) which were just great. These are supposed to be one of the best in the city, which could well be. We had white dry polish wine which was quite good. As a dessert, we had the apple 'pfannkuchen', q real treat, light and very tasty. The service was impeccable. It was reasonably priced. We will return there.

The staff were very nice, the food was definitely not at canteen level and therefore good, but taste is subjective. The pirogi were OK, the placki with meat sauce was good and the child had chips with chicken nuggets of the better kind. Draft beer rounded things off, everything was good. If you're expecting luxury, you're in the wrong place, but the prices are completely OK.

Unfortunately, the dumplings with meat filling were cold. The burger was too dry and everything except the patty was cold. It fell apart when I picked it up. A shame. Good service and nice atmosphere. But not good food. Nothing going on and we still had to wait 45 minutes for the food.

Tasty with room for improvement

Ordered a mould wine today and there was no red wine - a bit surprising since it is such a commodity these days, it is hard to believe it wasn't not someone's fault. We were offered a white wine instead and accepted it with a shred of doubt. It was served in a plain glass - quite unusual way to serve a mould wine. It is a faux-paux to be fair to serve mould wine in something that is not a mug - there are mugs just to be used for mould wine and a good restaurant wanting to offer it should just have them. Anyway, fortunately, it was the only surprise of the day. Beetroot and onion soup were very good - could have been less peppery, however, with subzero temperature outside it was not too bad experience. Overall, there were 6 of us and we all considered the meal a nice experience.
