What a smell

When enter the door of this restaurant and you feel amazing smell. Waitress was very helpful and king. But the most important is that dish were extremely tasty. We took mutton and shrimps salad, also rice and bread. Everything was great and we have to definitely came back to Taj Mahal.

Sunday Curry

Myself and my wife were both in the mood for a curry so headed to our favourite Indian restaurant in Gdynia, we arrived without a booking around 5pm and were very fortunate to be allocated the last available table. Our waiter apologised for having to squeeze us into a small corner table , he gave us menus and we ordered 2 starters followed by 1 main Rogan Josh Curry with rice and nan bread. We also ordered drinks our waiter made us aware there would be a delay in service time due to how busy they were. Our starters and drinks arrived within 15 minutes but was well worth the wait, Highly Recommended Indian cuisine.

Delicious Indian Food

Every time I travel to different country's I try to find to Indian restaurant that is how much I like Indian food . I also been to India and of course had plenty delicious meals there so I know how Indian food should tast. I must say food in Taj Mahal Restaurant in Gdynia was very delicious and very authentic . We had Sabzi Samosa,Lasooni Gobhi -which I try first time and I would highly recommend.....sooo good..... for appetizers. For main meal we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer,Mango Chicken some rice and Naan everything was what I expected and more.... mouth watering delicious.

Precooked, not fresh. Too easy for the amount of money

Taste of dinner was nice (Chicken Tikka Massala) but the shrimps as starter were dull, probably because they were not served fresh but precooked. They came on the table too quick and in some slick cover of flower. The Naan bread was ordered with garlic, but is not supposed to be with some garlic shrinkles, the garlic taste has to be in depth, not like this. Back to the Chicken, it was supposed to come with vegetables, not just with two slices of tomato, probably this dish also was precooked. The service was good, the restaurant was OK, although I do not know what that big pegasus is doing there. Did I enjoy it? it was sufficient, definitely not excellent.

I go to this restaurant from time to time. Especially for lunch as they have from Monday till Friday special price offer. Food is tasty, service nice, interior could be a little more pleasant and cozy.

Very nice, atmospherical place, excellent food prepared in traditional Indian style and very polite, helpful service. Next time in Gdynia I will come here for sure. Thank you 🙏🏼

My son and I fancied a curry whilst in Gydnia and saw the reviews for the Taj Mahal and we were not disappointed. Large portions and very tasty. My son had a cottage cheese spinach curry and said it is the second best spinach curry he had ever had. Friendly helpful staff and good value

I am eating in this restaurant at least once per month. Love it to the moon and back. Service, mostly provided by young server is excepcional. Food very good. Had lunch menu as well like a evening one. Been there with friends and familly. Every single time all of us were happy. My fav... boti kebab! And chef can make it up to your satisfacion when we are talking about spiciness. I do recommend it to all!

Regular for over 20 years and one of the best Indian restuarants we eat at

We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years from even when it was located elsewhere and have NEVER had a bad meal here. We use it for relaxed dinners, business meetings, family celebrations and even lunches. Do not be put off by the location or decor which is not decided by the restaurant owner but the Staff know the menu well and can always help and the food is just fantastic.

I was only in town for a couple of days but love curry. Found the right place. Good food and staff. Location is close to centre of town. I will be back.

I had pleasure to taste their lunch menu. It is special menu between 12:00 and 15:00. Please note that there is only 1 dish with meat and one vegetable with drink for 19pln. The rest is excluded drink so it will be about 25 pln with some coke or water. Generally food was very good. You can choose how much spicy from 1 to 3 you want. Service was very nice.

Pricy, so so Indian food.

This place used to be decent. Have been coming here since 7 years ago. How is it now? The curries taste pretty good. The flavors that is. The gravy is actually ok! But, the chicken is dry and reheated. It has that specific reheated flavor to it. The garlic naan I ordered shouldn’t have been called naan. It’s more like a chapati. But... though like a shoe sole. I didn’t finish it. I believe it was reheated in a microwave. It just didn’t smell of anything. Not even the garlic. Glad I also ordered rice too. I can’t imagine they have a real tandoor oven. But they do offer tandoor dishes. Caveat Emptor!

Best Indian in town

Interior design a bit funny, like a mix of ancient Greek and oriental stuff. Service is okay, food is good. Cleaned place. Portions and quality of food were much better last year, however I still like to go there.
