"Tlusta Kaczka" is a place the Tri-city lacked: a remarkable new restaurant serving Polish cuisine. The Master Chef: Magdalena Świątkowska, lover of culinary art, take the best and the grandest from Polish cuisine. Together with their team, he is sure to delight even the most demanding palate with the aroma of freshly-baked bread, the flavour of long-forgotten herbs and the temptation of mouth-wattering desserts. What awaits their guests is a composition of tastes and scents rising from the fairplace, the aroma of roast gae, cordials, conserves, herbs and marinades.

My favorite place in Gdynia

I've heard about this place from my sis who lives in Gdynia, and i've been there for the first time during my polish holiday few days ago. One word to describe this restaurant: perfection! Nice location, quiet and friendly atmosphere and five stars service. Tartare accompanied by vodka was the perfect starter waiting for the duck: cooked and seasoned to perfection, and cut in front of our eyes. Delicious desserts were just the icing on the cake. A particular note for the wine, a polish still red one, that has nothing to envy to a good italian Chianti (the area where i actually live). Definitely a must try if you're in Gdynia!

Fatter than a Duck

Unfortunately we were unable fully to enjoy our lunch here because of the terrible heat of the day. It would appear this restaurant is not air-conditioned because not only is the back portion decorated like a sauna, but it also felt like one. The chairs are also too low to eat from. That aside, the food was splendid. Caviar was terrific value, hardly marked up as far as we could tell, and the delightfully pretty dishes were all excellent if a little under-seasoned. We ate salads and cold soups because of the weather but I also saw and smelled, toothsome looking roasted duck coming out. There’s a great wine list but we don’t drink and the heat meant we simply couldn’t bear to stay for pudding which meant it was also reasonably cheap but I’m sure you could happily spend a small fortune...

Visited with a group of 7. And although there was some mix up with Pierogi the waiter handled the situation professionaly. The food is really delicious. The place very nice, no problem with parking, no loud disturbing music and a nice deck to sit outside in de summer.

Exceptional Cuisine

Tremendous culinary experience with exquisite preparation located in a comfortable setting. Although this is located a small drive from the town, it every bit worth the trip. Appetizers, main courses and desserts all reflected precise details from from an artisan chef-highly recommended when looking for the special experience with a staff that takes pride and is extremely knowledgeable about food and drink. A must if you are in Gdynia!

One of the best restaurants in Tricity

Tlusta Kaczka for many years is our default go to place during client visits. All of the staff speaks English, and has great table manners. They have a traditional Polish menu with some positions having some twist, and the duck is recognized as one of the best. They have a wide variety of alcohols, good choice of wines and can advise based on the order. Restaurant is furnished accordingly to the main theme, not being too heavy thou (which happens on often in traditional Polish restaurants). Highly recommended!

Great food and armosphere

Delicious food and great service. I’m in love with the decor, definitely one of the prettiest places I’ve been to. Live piano music added to the experience. Definitely recommend!

Really delicious duck

This restaurant left a great impression on me. The servers were professional and understood savior vivre, the food was delicious and served in an interesting way (the duck I served was cut on a cutting board in front of me), and the place was just beautiful. I can highly recommend both the restaurant itself as well as the salted caramel ice cream they serve.

Our driver, Dominik recommended this restaurant to us. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service is amazing, and the food was soooo delicious. It is also very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it! I wish I knew my server's name. I would like to thank her! Must come here for authentic Polish food!

really exceptional restaurant, food very good, polish style, can't complain on anything, from starters to desert. Hard to get there without a car, so keep this in mind. Booking recommended.

One of the best meals I had in Poland

We went there, as a couple, for a dinner. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming, very high standards. The service is amazing, the food is wonderful. The aren't that high (200zl; 2 starters, 2 main, 1 glass of wine & soft drinks + tip) Very high quality, highly recommended!
