Because of Covid-19 you could only order food and take away. We have taken fried sprats. Portion was quite big but for this price it should be. There are better places in Tri-city to eat them but generally it was OK.

After a kong walk my family and I decided to have a lunch in ‘Gruba Ryba’. It’s located next to the Brzezno Pier😢, which is great. However, food was just okay. Cod fillet and fried calamari were not bad but a bit too chewy. Fish...soup was tasty. Halibut with mushrooms was nice.More

Ever since my first visit to Gdansk I've had this tradition: to treat myself to a dinner at Gruba Ryba on my last night, and last year I even chose to have my birthday dinner there too! The place is amazing in just about everything:...the food, the service, the location, the ambience, all of it. My personal favorite is their Baltic cod with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. The location is amazing, just by the beach. I ordered a cesar salad with chicken strips and it tasted delicious, however afer maximum 20minutes after eating it I got a really bad food poisining, I think it was due to the souce from the salad,...for which I am not sure what it included, perhaps mayo which was not the freshest. This is the reason for the poor rating as the taste was good but I felt awfull after eating it. My partner had the fish burger which was unsalted but otherwise tasted good and he had no stomach cramps so his choice was much betterMore

The location of Fat Fish (Gruba Rybka in polish) is simply unique. It is located on the beach at the entrance to the pier in Brzeźno. I recommend Gruba Rybka because there you can find exceptional service. I ma terrible sorry that I mentioned this...issue but it is probably the only place in the area where you can wash your hands free of charge.More

Visited multiple times during our stay in Brzeźno. Always friendly service and lovely food. My favourite "halibut with fried potatos"

We went just for a quick snack and drink and loved the place! Grilled squids were perfect and fries super crispy! 👌🏼

This is a nice lunch place on the beach. I have had shrimps and those were yummy ! Prices are normal for this region and staff is friendly :)

Live music and close to the pier. Recommended both for lunch or dinner. Even nice to pop in for a drink at the terrace with seaview

The main draw of this place is of course the nice view of the beach and pier the outside seating area offers. The service was ok, as we were always "calling" the waiter to come and see us and not waiting for him to come,...since we had read that the service was slow in prior reviews. By doing that, we thought we were served properly and therefore service was not an issue. In terms of food, there are a lot of items offered on the menu and until 12h00 (noon), you can also order one of the different offerings for breakfast. Although breakfast was tempting, we opted for the: - fish burger: unfortunately, this is a fried-fish burger, not a pan-grilled fish burger. This made the burger very hard to eat and greasy, as the fish pieces were flaky and falling apart. Plus, you could taste this was a frozen fried fish being put in the fryer, not a "freshly made" fish piece. - Salmon pasta: these were good, generous in size and in fish pieces The prices were ok considering the location of the place. Excellent place to feel maritime climate with live music (shanties). Excellent dishes, drinks and desserts. I really recommend with live music!
