We went there for a small celebration with my fiance and we enjoyed every moment of it. We went for beef tartare and pork bao, but before we could enjoy those we were greeted with amazing slide of bread with burned butter (the smell! Oh my god). After the starters we got to our main course - hoisin duck and pork chop, each bursting with flavor. Finishing our meal we decided to order desserts as well - waffle and a lemon pie - both were amazing closure to the whole experience. Our server was Natasza, who guided us through this great evening. The venue itself is really beautiful and we're sure to visit again.

When we checked this place on Trip advisor, it had all fives. This is not an overstatement. The food is to die for and service is attentive but never intrusive. I definitely recommend anyone a visit. The restaurant is in a cellar with very tasteful and comfortable interior design. Will visit again.

We made an online reservation which was followed up with a text. We had the fantastic tomato tartare to start which was sweet, and astonishingly good due to the special process they use for the tomatoes. The breaded prawns were also cooked to perfection.
For mains we ordered the sea bass and the Angus steak burger. The fish cookery was amazing and it was deliciously moist and cooked to perfection. It was probably the best fish I have ever tasted. The fries were large, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The Angus burger was like eating a tasty steak and was served with extra sauces on request.
The young owner, who has in his career in London, surged for both Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsey was extremely pleasant and down to earth.
The whole experience was first class- from the decor, the ambiance, the food, the wine and cocktails and the charmingly. Polite staff. 10/10- Keep up the brilliance and you desert to be number one in Gdańsk

The brick interior of the restaurant looks interesting and inviting, so we enter with friends for lunch. It's empty, except for a corporate meeting with refreshments. The waiter offers a crispy, melt-in-your-mouth Peking duck. All four of us agree to the proposal and additionally add Bao buns with pork. As we are in a former brewery, it would be inappropriate not to order a good beer. The menu includes 5 types of beers from an unknown one brewery. We ask the waiter, but irritated by our curiosity, he replies that since its name is Baltic, it comes from Pomerania, but he doesn't know exactly from where. It's a pity, because while a short menu is advisable, the former brewery should offer a wide range of regional beers. We've been waiting for our beers for quite a long time. As we were also not served a complementary side dish called “czekadelko”, we have, among others, time to develop the theory of incomprehensible delays, including these in gastronomy. Finally, we are served both beer and the “czekadelko”and bao at once. As before, the table was empty so now we are full of all goods and we don't know where to start. We start with the “czekadelko”, i.e. a small half of a slice of bread with a nice roasted butter. Having a bakery on site, the bread could be warm or refreshed because it is, as it used to be said, "from the night", means supposedly fresh and a bit not fresh. Bao buns brighten our faces because together with a sauce they are very good and nicely served in a bamboo braid. It's time for the duck breast. Nice presentation on the plate. From the promised crispy duck, however, we have pieces of cut breast with a hard, chewy skin that lands on the edge of the plates. The duck breast actually melts but tastes like liver. The rice pan cakes and sauce however are delicious. Our indifferent waiter dismisses our remarks about unsavory duck breast with silence. We're leaving. No one thanks us for coming, and no one from the current staff says goodbye to us or invite us to visit them again. Having such a belief of uninvited guests, we lose the desire to check other dishes and perhaps write warmer words

Great, stylish and cozy place to eat the dinner. Live music was nice addition to fine meals. Our waitress Natasza explained every aspect of each plate with smile on her mouth, she was patient and very understanding person. Thank You for pleasant time we’ve spent there.

If you are looking for a place where you can eat exceptionally tasty food, drink delicious cosmic (literally) cocktails and spend quality time with family and friends, then Hewelke should be your first choice. This extraordinary culinary experience is complemented by highly qualified and friendly service thanks to which you will not lack anything.
The greatest proof that my words are sincere is that I held my wedding there.

Fabulous fusion cuisine. Polish elements beautifully influenced by other cultures. Very nice place, seems run by young people. Excellent service.
The bread from the in-house goat was unique.
A bit from the center, but the journey is very worth it.

I’ve been here three times already and I will definitely come back! Everything was delicious - starters, main dishes desserts and drinks. They also have their own amazing bread and butter that you can buy in their bakery. Service is great, Natasza knows everything about the menu and explains all the details. Totally recommend!

I'm practically a regular at this joint! They keep things fresh with a menu that's always changing, so you never get stuck in a food rut. And let me tell you, every bite I've had here is like a party in my mouth! You can totally feel the love and passion the chefs put into their cooking.
The place is so cozy and welcoming, it's like being wrapped in a foodie hug. And the service is like having your own personal food squad making sure you have the best time ever. Good job! :)

Outstanding food, very fresh and tasty. Excellent tomato tartare, it's hard to recognize that it's a vegan version. In each dish you can feel the high quality of the ingredients. Great drinks, perfect sex on the beach. I definitely recommend the restaurant!

7 friends from the USA dined at Hewelke. While the food was good, the service provided by Casper was over the top. He gave detailed explanations of all food and drink and even the history of the restaurant and his homeland of Poland. Casper gave us a quick tour of the former brewery that is now Hewelke and walked us to our awaiting taxis. Bravo Casper!

Take a bike, taxi or Uber about 5 km away from the city centre.....and don’t fool yourself for a super exciting food experience. Of all the places we have been - both here in Gdansk and in other countries - Hewelke is clearly in the top-5. Michal, our underplayed and charming waiter and the team behind makes really tasty food. There is no shit and nothing assumed excellent about Hewelke; just VERY good food. Don't miss out.

Simply amazing ! Surprising and mind blowing combination of flavours. Every single dish (Onion soup, Boazi and crème brûlée) was just perfect. We went there for the first time and we will definitely come back to try more ! Apart from the food, they have such an nice service, Natasha, makes the whole experience even nicer. I wish they could open in Oslo too 😄!

My visit to Hewelke was a true delight! The steak was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the tartare was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were exceptionally courteous and professional. The desserts were exquisite, and the extensive wine selection allows you to find the perfect pairing for every dish. I highly recommend this place!
