The food was of a high quality and was just across the street and one block down from the Mercure Gdansk or the soon to open Ibis. The staff were kind and the food was served promptly. There's a lovely terrace to eat/drink if the weather is nice. Very good value for money. By the way, "Smak" means "flavor" in... More

We've been there for dinner and ate soup and a plate of Polish dishes. The soup comes in two sizes, 300 and 500 mL, the latter being enough for a whole dinner if you're not too hungry. Then we took a shared plate (4 meats and 4 sides) of quite typical polish food. Tasted really well, the price was fair... More

This was a nice restaurant with different Polish dishes on the menu. We shared one of the cooked meat platters which was served with side salads - it was huge and more than enough for 2 people even without starters.

My friends were in Gdansk for a day on a cruise. We arranged for a pierogi making class at the restaurant. We had a fabulous time. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Service was above and beyond gracious. And our pierogi were delicious! I can't say enough great things about swojski smak!

We ate dinner here and the whole experience was great. The staff was awesome with great recommendations and the food delicious. We recommend pelmieni in broth for a starter and dumpling mix for a main course. So gooood!! Would definitely return.

Just across the road from our hotel Mercure and opposite the new IBIS. Pleasant staff and good menu. Cheap by UK standards. Very pleasant if you don't want to go too far from the local hotels. Complimentary after dinner liquor very nice

Shared a combined platter for two which came effectively in large Tapas style dishes meat elements being exceedingly well cooked and came in very nice sauces. The Sauerkraut, Dumplings and beetroot also plentiful and tasty. The restaurant and atmosphere is very comfortable and service was efficient.

The name of the restaurant means 'homely food', and it certainly is that! There is an extensive menu catering for all tastes, but mainly for lovers of good wholesome Polish cooking. I had some home-made pierogi for lunch, and I can't remember when (or indeed if) I have ever had better. As well as excellent meals, there is a fantastic range... More
