Love this place. Probably classed as a milk bar, where you get a tray and choose your stuff from a great range. I had pork schnitzel, my sister had a stew. You then get either mash or chips and any of the veg. It is...29 zl (about £6) and the drinks are cheap (quid or so) You get a great serving and the mash is to die for. If you are a fan of "good" school dinners, you will love it. You probably won't be able to move much for an hour afterwards. Spotlessly clean, nice staff especially the young lad serving. Loos are nice. You are expected to clear your tray (I am sure they will do it for you if you don't know the tradition, but better if you do). 2 mins from main gate and Dluga.More
Tasty meal, big portion in awesome price, totally recommend as place for budget lunch. 25 zloty meal, soup around 10. Good selection of meat and extras.
I ate breakfast and lunch many times on my visit to Gdansk and was never disappointed. Buffet style food (mainly Polish) all freshly made and delicious. Breakfast price 12 Zloty and lunch/main between 20-25 Zloty, amazing value. It's on the street first left after you...walk under the Golden Gate.More
Accidentally i found this bar-cafe and I am impressed. The food is very very delicious and cheap (potato+fish+soup = 22-25 zloty or 5-6$) Also, there are clean inside and welcome service.
best regards from Greece Thank you one more time Congratulations for all staff My experience from my forgotten nikon camera on the table has finally positive finding..... thank you ...everything was perfect
We have ordered 5 dishes including fish, chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The regular chicken and fish were tasty, the sweet and sour chicken wasn't that great. Veggies and potatoes/ fries were excellent.
Whilst we were in Gdansk we had planned to only eat Polish food but our lack of experience meant we were a little unsure what to chose but we found this lovely place which operates a bit like a self service (although you are served...the food by the staff) allowing you to view and select food which is mostly labelled in both Polish and English. One course with a large drink (didn't see any alcoholic drinks though) was less that £5 each and really tasty with plenty of variety and would recommend it particularly like us if you are unsure of what to choose.More
Cheap and tasty, you can eat choose and eat, hot and fresh made. Good variety, children happy, many tables even during lunch time. In the middle of old city.
Decent value, food is good. No frills but taste like homemade . Good Verity. Not expansive , We will come back
Been here twice now. All you can get on 1 plate (served not help yourself) breakfast and a tea or coffee for 11.90 zloty. Food hot and tasty and seems a little different each day. Yes not the best quality but for the price excellent...valueMore
The build it yourself breakfast is fantastic value. There is plenty to choose from and it's nicely cooked. No frills (as you'd expect from a budget place)
We love this milk bar and we went there twice during our visit. It’s such a hidden gem because you don’t see this restaurant mentioned on TA/Google when you searched for milk bar in Poland. It is also located off the main street so it’s...not easy to see this milk bar. This is a cosy place. You can choose whatever that goes on your plates. The ladies there had hard time communicating in English but it’s no problem because all the dishes are labelled in both Polish and English. Pick your food, pay and find a place to sit, simply as that. Fodd was very cheap. Two portions of food + 2 coffee = 25 zloty. Unbeatable. When we said our only phrase "thank you" in Polish, the lunch lady and the cashier gave us the brightest smiles. :)More
Having tried other milk bars in Gdansk, this was our favorite. The place is never crowded, lots of seating (inside and out) with soft jazz music in the background. It's cheerful, clean, and modern. The food was all of excellent quality, perhaps not as many...choices as other milk bars, but there were some interesting options (cod with spinach, bigos, chickpeas in sauce, to name a few), and everything was delicious. You don't need to speak Polish, just point to what you would like. Loved the "kompot" (red drink) that everyone orders in milkbars. Recommended.More
We've been to this place three times for quick and cheap meals. I loved breakfast - many options, cheap price and coffee included. Lunch options were also great - all in affordable prices and very nice place close to the marvels of Gdańsk.
