Love this place. Probably classed as a milk bar, where you get a tray and choose your stuff from a great range. I had pork schnitzel, my sister had a stew. You then get either mash or chips and any of the veg. It is 29 zl (about £6) and the drinks are cheap (quid or so) You get a great serving and the mash is to die for. If you are a fan of "good" school dinners, you will love it. You probably won't be able to move much for an hour afterwards. Spotlessly clean, nice staff especially the young lad serving. Loos are nice. You are expected to clear your tray (I am sure they will do it for you if you don't know the tradition, but better if you do). 2 mins from main gate and Dluga.

Unusual system of cafeteria style but all you can eat piled on one plate for one trip down the buffet. You pay a fixed price for breakfast, lunch or dinner and point to what you want and they will pile it on. Lots of local dish choices and fresh tasting. The buffet has everything you could want. Breakfast was PLN25,90 and includes one cup of coffee from the machine. Really a bargain. Didn't eat lunch or dinner here and the fixed price is slightly higher for each. Staff was medium friendly. I had three pancakes and took two packets of jam and the cashier said no only one and took the extra one off the tray herself, but not a big deal.

Nice Polish food, nice service and good value for money. You pay for a main course dish with a wide choice of options of meat, fish, blini, salads, potatoes. Also is possible to have breakfast in the morning with pancakes, kefir, yoghurt, eggs. cereals, ...

Unfortunately left us all unimpressed. 3 of the party had the schnitzel witch had a rancid taste from the cooking fat, the meat was very dry and vegetables desperately overcooked. Chicken was better, 2 large pieces and well seasoned. Bland and not tasty all in all. Clean premises, friendly service but too expensive for the quality and volume of food- 60 PLN for a tasteless, dry dinner, glass of soda, machine brewed coffee (watery) and ketchup

In this bar there is a dish called "Sirloin in sauce", when you order it you get chicken breast! When asked why it is not stated that it is chicken meat, the ladies answer that here chicken meat is called tenderloin.
And the lunch set for PLN 39.90 consists of meat, potatoes and salad... so the set does not include either soup or drink. So instead of paying PLN 80, we paid PLN 115. In terms of marketing, they should give themselves 5 stars, but the honesty here is 0. Bottom line!!! I warn against their unfair practices!

A Polish restaurant for families and the solo traveller on limited budgets. Select your price bracket and then choose the food you would like from the wide choice available. It's cheap and nutritious. Seating available both indoors and out.

Self-service restaurant with acceptable prices in the middle of the old town. Breaded meatballs with beetroot and dill potatoes were good. Lots of outdoor seating.
With the exception of one employee, the staff reacted slowly or not at all when guests were unsure and unfamiliar.

We’re form US but me and my hubby have Polish roots so we know how Polish food should taste like. This place is just an average bar mleczny. We’ve had pierogi which were previously frozen and not cooked right - a shame. Also had some soups and schabowy. All just average.

I'm shocked! Read carefully and ask how much it costs! My order is in the picture. For me, this is blatant robbing of tired tourists. gives the price a dump from the credit card. Shock! I am so disapointed that is my country where I born.

Good food, priceworthy (cheap). Service was okay, a but to stressful and many spots to sit. Clean restaurant and many dishes to choose from. There was vegetarian options on the menu. Could have been better service and less stress with the staff. Central location.

It was a fun experience. You can get a whole plate and a coffee of breakfast for 25 PLN.
There were a lot of traditional polish dishes which was fun to taste.
It was not the best food but I expected worse so I was surprised

I ate breakfast and lunch many times on my visit to Gdansk and was never disappointed. Buffet style food (mainly Polish) all freshly made and delicious. Breakfast price 12 Zloty and lunch/main between 20-25 Zloty, amazing value. It's on the street first left after you walk under the Golden Gate.
