Very good, healthy food, friendly people and a cosy place. I would come here any time of the day. You may be vegan, vegetarian, meat lover, gluten-intolerant and still find a good plate for you.

Very Good But Not Essential to Dine Here

I tried to get in for lunch at 1 pm . They were no longer seating for breakfast (until 1 pm) and weren’t yet letting people be seated for lunch starting at 2 pm. So watch your timing if eating here. Tried breakfast at 10:30 AM.Full outside but empty inside. Nice decor with lots of hanging potted plants. Service quick and friendly. Note they give you water in a glass and charge for it (4 zlotys per small glass) though it does come with lemon. I had the scrambled eggs. Good but not outstanding. A good reliable restaurant but not a must visit.

A must in Gdańsk - best energy

Pomelo is an absolutely lovely place - a must visit in Gdańsk. I’ve really enjoyed the food and the atmosphe and the staff was AMAZING! Special thanks to Adam and Julia. Our waiter Adam was very helpful and it was obvious that customer care was his main objective when serving us. The food was delicious, for the starters me and my friend have shared the baked sweet potato and even though he’s anything but a veggie we both loved it. The main meal was huge (we both had bagles) very filling and super tasty, I had to takeA half of mine to go - but still the atmosphere and the team was the main reason why this experience was special for us. Music was so much fun we even got a link for the playlist. I appreciate genuinely energy wherever I go and it was truly present in Pomelo. Thank you ❤️🙏🏻

Overrated and underwhelming

We’re rating this place keeping in mind that it ranks top 5 - so it might be a bit harsh otherwise it was just normal breakfast. We were happy to see only few items on the menu - normally, this means excellence however not in this case. We took shakshuka and breakfast burger. Shakshuka was the better choice, however it could have been so much better with little spice/seasoning. The chickpeas was really well done and the ingredients made sense. The breakfast burger was lacking any imagination, sauce, flavor. The pulled pork could use some BBQ sauce or something, some flavorful cheese, definitely more pickles. Too much bread to filling ratio. If you serve bread and butter, please make sure the bread is fresh and crunchy. (Really good butter though.) Chef must have really bland palette. There is no reason why this place should be ranked too 5 as breakfast choice.

Dreamy, delicious and relaxing

Located in a lovely, quiet setting, framed by floral aesthetics and a pleasant atmosphere, Pomelo characterizes a gorgeous Sunday breakfast no matter the occasion. The staff, especially our waitress Klaudia, made our stay feel heart-warming and joyful. They offer a small but wide-variety of meals friendly for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. The meals were generously portioned and priced fairly.

Great food, lovely atmosphere

We, a family of four, had a lunch in this comfy café and we were almost the only customers present. The service was super friendly, the food absolutely delicious. I really like the way they handled the vegetables and put together the menu.

I visit Pomelo every time I come to Gdańsk and I am always delighted. It's one of those places that really believes in what they do. They only use local, seasonal produce and serve it in a creative way. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious, the vibe is amazing.

Perfect Breakfast Spot

The Eggs Benedict, Raspberry Ice Tea and Americano coffee made this picky eater very happy. Also, Klaudia provided stellar service and even recommended a place to grab dinner. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Great staff that makes sure guest have amazing experience

I had a pleasure to visit Pomelo with my niece and dog. Usually visits like that can be difficult taking into consideration taking care of a toddler and a puppy that can both change their name to chaos. Our meal was surprisingly peaceful! The staff was friendly and open to spend more time to explain my niece what she can eat and made sure we are both comfortable. The went above and beyond to make us feel special even though they had other quests. Our waitress made sure to seat us in a space that was perfect to allow a kid to be curious and not be a distraction for other visitors. Food was great as well! The kids meal was a win for sure! I was there more as a company but had a chance to pick something smaller and delicious at the same time. Overall I think it's a great place for anyone. There is a lot to choose from in the menu and I think it's a good space for a date as well as a dinner with friends or family.

Excellent food and service.

A fantastic meal at Pomelo, with excellent service from Kasia. I had the tempura cauliflower which was delicious, served with a lovely mayo followed by pierogi. Everything was absolutely full of flavour. I would highly recommend the mulled white wine too, something that is a revelation and far tastier than mulled red in my opinion. If you’re looking for a very reasonable and high quality meal in central Gdansk, go to Pomelo, you won’t be disappointed.

I wanted to like it more. Maybe I just chose the wrong dishes. The zurek had way too much horseradish in it, it overpowered the whole dish. Beef tongue Wellington is an interesting consept. Pity it was very very heavy and in desperate need of something fresh or acidic to get some release. All that said, the food was not bad as such, just in need of some refinement. My waiter Monika was kind and attentive.

Brilliant dining experience

The food i ordered (white sausage + hasselback potatoes) was absolutely delicious, i would definitely recommend having these two orders together as they compliment eachother perfectly. The waitress was superb and really lovely with all the interactions with guests i saw and experienced. The food was reasonably priced and i enjoyed the atmosphere being on a street that is both quiet but so near the centre.

Visited this cafe/bistro bar for breakfast. The place is beautifully decorated and has a real homely feel. Our waiter, Adam (sorry If I have got your name wrong) was very welcoming and accomodating. Menus with english translation were provided to make it easy for us to order as we do not speak polish, the staff were very happy to speak english to us, thank you so much! The food was amazing and served quickly, we stayed for a while after finishing our food as it was so comfortable and relaxing.

Delightful Breakfast and Warm Hospitality at Pomelo

Pomelo offers a delightful breakfast experience, making it a must-visit spot for early risers. The atmosphere inside is both inviting and pleasant, setting the tone for a relaxed meal. Despite its popularity, I only had to wait a mere 10 minutes before being seated, which is quite reasonable. The highlight of my visit was the service provided by Dacia, our server. She was not only efficient but also exuded a warm and friendly demeanor that added to the overall experience. As for the food, the Eggs Benedicts were perfectly cooked, and the sausages were flavorful and well-seasoned. Overall, Pomelo strikes a fine balance between quality food and a welcoming ambiance, making it an excellent choice for breakfast.

Robust brunch ☕️🥐🥪 to start the day in the best way

A robust brunch certainly couldn't be missing on our Polish trip 🇵🇱, which is why, once we found the Pomelo Bistro Bar online 📱, we reached it to start the day in the best possible way. Having arrived on site close to 12.00 🕛, we unexpectedly had to wait in line outside for a table to become free. After a quarter of an hour, we finally took our seats in the center of the room and began to browse the price list 📋. Its proposals are truly delicious, including both sweet and savory dishes. In the end, not without a further wait (the place was still crowded), we moved on to ordering: • double espresso ☕️; • Cappuccino; • Grapefruit juice; • Lemonade with raspberry syrup; • Croissants 🥐 with topping of apples 🍎, pears 🍐, bananas 🍌, vanilla cream and berry syrup (complete with pieces) (Croissant Słodki); • Scrambled eggs with ham and chickpea sauce (Jajecznica z Szynka); • Eggs Benedict with ham and crunchy onion 🧅 topping (Szynka Benedykt). All undoubtedly very good 😋 and the choreographic aspect of the courses is also valid (especially the eggs benedikt). Average prices due to the total of 180 zlotys (just under 42 euros 💶 at the current exchange rate). The decor of the restaurant is pleasant, based on an "ethnic-chic" style which proves welcoming and relaxing (the hanging plants and the use of light wood inserts are beautiful). The staff members, entirely made up of young people, are kind. Bathrooms 🚾 clean and tidy 🚽🧻🧴. Convenient location a stone's throw from the main attractions of the historic centre. RECOMMENDED 👍.
