The staff seem to decide whether to serve you properly on a whim. When they do their job, you get excellent beer and great food. When they don't, you get foaming pint and obscure comments about the "salad" (when you didn't order one). In other words, use caution when visiting here. It's not to be recommended to have a dodgy tummy when walking about at a time of high temperatures and higher humidity.

Delucious dinner with good beer

We ate bbq ribs and rib eye steak. It can really be recommended. Both dishes were well prepared by people who know their business. The service was done by Robert and it was a pleasant experience. When we asked what beer we should drink for what we had ordered, he made good sugestion. You also have the opportunity to try a beer tasting, which should be tried.

Good Food and Craft Beer with Friendly Service

We were a bit in hurry and so we went here before I got on the train. The food was served quickly and good. They offer typical Polish and Central European dishes. The service was friendly and they also fulfilled some special wish (change of the side dishes). For drink I recomend one of the in-house brewed craft beers. The inerieur was rustic style, but new and in a good condition like in an old brewery, but they played loud modern rock music. And this all for good prices.

Nice environment, decor is relaxed and I liked the seating. Drinks were good, nice range and beers were very nice. Food was poor. Ordered fish and chips. The fish was cod served as 3 chunks battered. First bite and I had 4 bones. Thin small ones but they were not pleasant. I didn't eat any more. I mentioned this to two different members of staff, neither cared or offered any replacement or refund. I paid and left. Won't eat here again despite staying in the hotel above. Although I would still return for just a beer.

POOR beer and BAD service

Looks amazing but that’s where it ends Staff couldn’t be bothered, was an inconvenience that we were there for our waiter who was chatting up a female staff member at the bar. Chose the beer flight and was told the barman chooses the beers, said I didn’t like 2 styles and to be fair didn’t get those. The beers came and all apart from the dunkel were poor. I brew beer and have tasted thousands and these are just really forgettable. Each came with a “snack” literally one bite and there was no explanation of what the foods were and I even had to ask what each of the beers was. The bar was completely dead at 5pm on a Tuesday which is surprising as it is next to the main station which was really busy and underneath a large hotel too. I saw it from the train and it caught my eye but the service and products aren’t worthy of the venue. I was going to try the Jopel beer our tour guide had spoke about but my girlfriend and I had had enough so paid the bill in full and left very disappointed. I did tell the waiter I wasn’t impressed and he just kept saying it was their policy but wouldn’t explain what was the policy. In Gdańsk there are far better places to drink and far better beers, really disappointed as I’d been looking forward to an evening of beer sampling and then ordering food but was just left feeling like I should have apologised for interrupting the staff chatting to each other. AVOID poor beer and bad service

The Browar PG4 beer restaurant is located relatively close to the old town, next to the railway station. The establishment occupies a spacious room and has a loft-style interior. Already at the entrance you are greeted by copper beer barrels, which immediately help define the concept of the establishment. The service was fast and friendly. Our order was taken fairly quickly, after which we waited, slowly sipping beer (very tasty local varieties) and other drinks. We ordered golonka (not very good. The meat was a bit tough), fried fish and potatoes (in the end we got fish&chips) and medallions with mushroom sauce and potato pancakes (that was delicious). Prices are a little above average. Overall not bad, but if your goal is to eat delicious food, this is not the place for you.

The service was good, even on a very busy night we didn’t feel rushed and we felt very accommodated. We only tried their beer and bucket of fried potatoes. The potatoes were great and there were so many I wouldn’t get them as an appetizer unless you have 4 people at least. Between the 2 of us, we didn’t finish them, and they were our “light super” after a late lunch.

Great atmosphere, tasty food, fantastic craft beers!!! Service was 110%, our server Bartek (forgive my spelling) was really attentive, gave us suggestions for our food and drinks! Really friendly and even helped us with recommendations during our visit in Gdańsk. If you like craft beer definitely come here!

We stayed in the hotel, above the bar/restaurant, so very handy for us. We had our dinner on the first evening, like most Polish places, not a lot for vegetarian guests, but the chanterelle mushroom and cream pizza is very tasty. The beer made here is delicious, especially the dark beer. They had ran out one evening and had to make another batch, so I got my fix the next evening. Very busy and popular with the locals, handy for trains, trams or the bus home.

Great beer but otherwise rather average

If you are looking for a really great beer, you will find one here where you can taste the passion for brewing. However, we were not really convinced about the food and service. We felt like we had to apologize for being there (despite having a reservation) and were not convinced by the food either. It was well prepared but really not sophisticated or of any special quality as far as the steak is concerned. The heart that you feel in the beer is unfortunately missing in the rest.

Couldn't organise a thingy-up in a brewery.

The beer was nice and the surroundings beautiful. Unfortunately the service and food were poor. It took one full hour to receive any drinks and when the food came out it was cold and not great quality. It was fairly busy and the staff were apologetic, but the phrase "couldn't organise a p...-up in a brewery" came regularly to mind. Would have ordered more beer but didn't want to risk it.

The food was excellent. The BBQ ribs were so soft, they were desintegrating just by looking at them (imho the bbq sauce had the perfect balance between smokeyness and plum flavor). Fish soup was also delicious, a word of warning though - spicy 😀 The viennese-style schnitzel had very good meat-to-batter ratio and was very smooth and flavorful. And now... the beer. Holy moly, the selection, the taste - there is something for everyone. Want the good 'ol standard? Take Starogdańskie. Want sour? Take Krollinger? Like light, refreshing? Take baltic. Fan of dark beers? Dunkel should be your bet. And everything is tasteful. You won't be dissappinted, no matter what you take. If you look for a place to eat and drink the "magic water for fun people" this is the place you're looking for.

We came because it is the first restaurant you find when you get off the train, a craft brewery, where they make their own beer. Very good attention, very good service. The food is very good, and the beer is the best. If I go back to Dansk I will come back here for sure!!

EXCELLENT food, beer, staff!!! 100% recommend!

When we arrived, the restaurant was overflowing with fans getting ready to head to the football game! It was loud and fun to see people so excited and enthusiastic!! Despite being told it would be a long wait, really, they accommodated us very quickly! Klaudia was our server and she was amazing!! She was clearly run off of her feet but still was engaging with us and took time for us. We appreciated her and she made our experience even better!! My husband had the fish and chips and I had the pear and blue cheese salad! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I’m a fan of strong, dark beers so I had the 5 mls of Jopenbier and it was perfect! Moved on to the Dunkle and my husband, a lager, and we were both fans!! We liked it so much we tried to go back 2 days later but it was closed for a private function! We are going to try again before we leave here! Some of the comments I read before going, made it sound questionable on service, quality and cost! So glad we didn’t not go because of this! Well done, BrowarPG4 and Klaudia and to the staff who had to break it to us that they were closed for a private function when we tried to return! He was great about it and apologetic!! Make sure to go here! You won’t be disappointed!!

We ate here two times during our visit to gdansk because we were staying the craft beer central hotel above the restaurant. Their beers were good and the service was ok but I think the food was nothing special. Are group ate tarte flambees, wings, chips, burger,halibut and a pork knuckle. Nothing was really bad but only thing that standed out was the burger. Shame because restaurant looks nice and location is good.
