We went to the restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews - and it definitely delivered. We shared the pierogi (one of the best and my partner is Polish) followed by salmon (very tasty especially the potato and carrot gratin) while my partner has the ribs (they were wonderful). Our waitress could not have been nicer. We had a thoroughly lovely meal 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

This restaurant surprised of high quality for food with reasonable prices. We had been not at rush time, so all snacks/appetizers had been so tasty. We took different kind of local dumplings, brusheta, local soup.
Main courses cod fish and chicken had been excellent. Very high recommend this place. Waitress Karolina is the best. Ask her service she will choose the best.
P.S. Next time we tried pork knuckle and pork ribs, portions are so big, so be careful

5 stars for everything we’ve had . Starters we ordered tartare pierogi and duck pyzy. Main golonka and ribs. Portions are massive, even though we eat a lot we feud not manage to finish the food. The presentation also was worth appreciation . Kogel mogel bake to finish off was mind blowing. All in the accompaniment of polish wine. After we decided to leave it started raining so stayed back for another drink, server offered polish liquor which I loved and stocked myself with few bottles of it on returning to Uk. Service from Jan was extraordinary , he definitely made our visit special. Totally worth recommending, nothing to fault on .

We came to Gdansk looking for real polish food, and this place really delivered. Fantastic dumplings and different cuts of meat that would not be regularly found on British menus (particularly at the price). Was great to sample some polish wine as well. Our waitress was very attentive and particularly friendly and helpful throughout.
Really look forward to visiting again in the future.

This was by far one of the nicest dinner experiences I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely delicious - from starter to main to a scrumptious apple pie which we finished with. The service was also noteworthy as the waiters were really friendly and also helped celebrate mum’s birthday in a sweet way.
Would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to visit in the near future!

As a Pole my self I was absolutely taken back by the quality of the food as well as most importantly different take on the Polish cuisine. I'm even as confident to say that it was better than my grandmas. 100% I would recommend this to anyone.

We spent a very pleasant lunch hour in the restaurant, being served by nice and professional waiter.
The food was really delicious with very nice presentation. We could choose from a wide menu, with variety of Polish traditional meals.
Quiet place, also offer open air terrace.
We can fully recommend for all kinds of meetings.

We visited this lovely restaurant by chance after a visit to the world war 2 museum - well worth visiting while in Gdańsk. We were met by a lovely waiter -Alex who made some great suggestions. Our food was delicious- I highly recommend the duck breast with sweet potato and mango, the combination of flavours was wonderful . My husband had pork knuckle on the bone with cabbage and potatoes. Equally tasty. Service was pleasant and efficient and prices very good. I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to anyone who would like good quality food at reasonable prices.

We’ve been in Poland nearly two weeks and this was one of the best restaurants we ate at for food and definitely the best for service! The food and wine was so good and the starters were huge - we could have probably shared one between us! Our waiter Martin was absolutely amazing, great English, recommended such nice wine for us exactly to our taste and showed us the perfect amount of attention. Both me and my boyfriend speak English but my boyfriend speaks polish so mostly our experience in Poland has been that the waiters speak only to my boyfriend and speak in Polish. Martin made an effort to speak to us both in English which made me feel much more comfortable and I really appreciated it so THANK YOU!!

Couldn’t ask for more. Managed to get a table same day somehow on a busy day (always nice). Waitress was extremely helpful with helping understand the more traditionally polish dishes to try. The food was unbelievably good. 10/10 experience, my favourite place in Gdansk

It had a great location (near the main street but away from the crowds - very close to the WWII museum too). Great polish food - we absolutely loved the pierogies. We were able to get seated as a group of 8 on a Saturday evening and the servers were friendly. Menu was in polish and english.

Fantastic! Food was excellent and paired beautifully with good wine. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. We were served by Alex who was perfectly attentive, interested and interesting (without being intrusive). All in all highly recommend. Duck main course a particular treat!

The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot near the river (from which it gets its name) with both inside and outside tables to choose from. I went there on a friday at 16:00 and there were only two other tables being served.
The waiter, Alex, was quick, attentive and friendly. He spoke english perfectly and always came to me to make sure the food was up to my standards. We also struck a nice conversation about the city.
Now, for the food. I'd never had herring tartare before and I absolutely loved it. It tasted fresh, savory, sweet and acid, just an amazing meal. I personally would like the bread that was served with it to be a bit more 'airy', but that's just a personal thing. Highly recommended appetizer.
My main course was some pork cheeks. They were extremely tender and tasty. The sauce was great and I particularly loved the carrots served with it. Also very good and highly recommended. Although I might try something else next time I go there (and I will!)
In total, the entree with main dish and some apple juice cost me 112PLN. I thought this was very reasonable given the quality of the food, staff and location.

Some dishes were great, and some were disappointing. We had high hopes having read the reviews but it didn't quite live up to expectations and was by far the most expensive meal we had during our trip. We made a reservation in advance but were disappointed to arrive and be told a number of dishes on the menu were not available that night. We ended up ordering the pork schnitzel and the duck for mains. The schnitzel was large and well cooked and was a very tasty dish. The duck however was a small portion and quite underwhelming. The pureed carrots were a bit like baby food on the plate and the whole carrots were undercooked and still had the black tops on some of them. The bacon cabbage ordered on the side was bland. It seemed the restaurant was trying too hard to be upmarket but not quite delivering. We enjoyed far better meals elsewhere in Gdansk.

Amazing food! Very friendly and kind staff. Schabowy was spectacular. You won’t find a better place to try traditional polish cuisine in central Gdansk. Highly recommended! Oh and the place is pet friendly😍
