This is a terrible place.. the place is pretty and the atmosphere great.. but then it stops😅 I sat at a table so I could see the open kitchen. I ordered a schnitzel with fried egg and mashed potatoes.. the potatoes was ok, Mut the...chef was not able to fry an egg or a schnitzel.. the schnitzel is 4 mm thick and very very very crusty. And he even managed to burn the egg.. and the waiter served it.. well while waiting 20 minutes to get another glass of wine I wathed the staff. And the head chef managed to eat and taste all food with his hands. He scratched his nose and continued touching and plating all good.. now 30 minutes waiting to complain about the food he still have not washed his hands.. What a shame because the 2 musicians playing are very good .. Would never recommend anyone to eat her. Hygiene is not ok and the can’t fry an egg😅 Hope I will se the waiter soon so I can pay and find a place to eat where the have a hand wash or at least I kitchen so I don’t see what’s happening..More

We ate here the first night in Gdansk as we were staying at Hotel Almond. We enjoyed our dinner, though my partners fish was a little overdone. The portions are generous and value very good what seems like a high end place

We had a delicious parsnip soup, probably the best we have ever tasted. Our expectations for a spectacular main was disappointing. I had burbot (fish) which was rubbery and tasteless. The potato accompaniment was OK as was the sprouts. My sons salmon was very good...but the potatoes were a bit salty. Wine was excellent and service was good.More

A wonderful place, off the beaten track, in an interior pleasing to the eye, with wonderful atmospheric music oozing through as quiet melody. Food and drinks (including wine) top notch. Dishes served well. After the first dinner, I didn't look for other places anymore. Shortly...- 10/10. Nice service that treats guests with tact and finesse. I recommend to everyone.More

Dined here as staying at hotel and was a convenient choice after a long day in the city. Ordered very simply, just burger and chips. Burger well done but appreciate that a pink burger is not too many people’s taste) or even permitted sometimes due...to food safety regulations regarding minced beef) bun & toppings good quality & tasty. Gin cocktail very disappointing, originally arrived with so much ice (above the rim of the glass) it was physically impossible to drink. Returned to bar and it was decanted into another glass to reveal it was probably around 50ml of liquid (bear in mind a serving of spirit in this hotel is 40ml & his was supposed to be a cocktail including gin & cucumber tonic). With just 2 cubes of ice added it did not taste of gin at all. Food was fine, would not recommend the cocktail based on our experience.More

I do not recommend this restaurant. From the moment we entered the door the waiter seemed bothered by us. They will not ask how the food was, they hand out too few glasses and dishes etc., we waited a very long time for the food,...he clears the table before we have finished eating. The food was also some of the worst we have tasted. They have something to learn about customer service and how to make tasty food.More

Magiel is a very nice restaurant and it´s part of Hotel Almond which is also great (see my other review for the hotel). We had dinner at the Magiel restaurant twice – they have an interesting menu and all dishes are very well prepared. Staff...was friendly and professional; especially the dinner on Saturday night was great also thanks to thanks to the pleasant live music. The only thing that prevents me from giving five points is the absence of vegan main dishes on the menu – I think these days it is old fashioned not to have such an offer and it means that a growing share of guests will not feel addressed by the menu offered by this restaurant. But otherwise, I would highly recommend this place. All dishes were prepared with high attention to detail and tasted well.More

We were staying at the Almond hotel qnd were tired out after a day’s sightseeing. Decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. WoW, what an experience! Top class food and service, very reasonably priced. I’m gluten intolerant and a fussy eater. The chef prepared me...an exquisite dessert of fresh fruit and chocolate sauce, with handmade chocolate decorations - have never had anything like it! We were also served complementary coffee liqueur after our meal. A little off the beaten track, 10 minute walk from Neptune fountain, but definitely worth it.More
