Always busy and great atmosphere! We are a group of students and no matter how many of us there are, we are always served very quickly. The beer is good and reasonably priced. Its in a good location and we often visit The Black Stuff.

I've been to whisky bars in Brno and Prague, but so far, this is by far the best in the Czech lands. What a collection of whiskies! I haven't seen anything comparable outside of Scotland. They even have a 1976 Port Ellen, albeit for 8,000 CZK a shot. And if you are not a whisky fan, the Guinness was perfect. I only have 2 complaints: 1) they dare to offer Gold Cock whisky, a Czech product which is just terrible; and 2) there was no air conditioning, so it gets warm in the bar in the summer (which I guess makes you drink more). In any case, if you are a whisky fan, there is certainly something on offer at The Black Stuff for you. Slainte!

Typical Irish pub in Czech. Sell Guiness at a rip-off price, and cover the walls with tat, purchased from clever merchandisers of erzatz Irish culture. Don't tell your customer before he/she orders that you don't take credit cards. Expect them to trudge to the nearest ATM to pay for the privilege of paying the blameless employees of the useless owners of this "so called " Irish Pub"

If you're visiting Olomouc Czech Republic, after a day of going around a seeing the sights, The Black Stuff is the place to wind down and relax. The Guinness is great, the atmosphere is relaxing and the service is great!

I would start by saying that if you are looking for the traditional cheap Czech beer this place might not be the "low-end" one that you are looking for. Otherwise very nice setting and personell, good beer at a decent price ( not the cheapest one but afordable ).

The bar is good, good beers and drinks, comfortable inside.
It's strange they don't accept credit cards.

Very cozy, a pub full of feeling! Not the cheapest beer but still affordable and worth it. The best Irish pub in Olomouc!

We arrived around midnight, chose a nice table and were greeted by nice and relaxed staff. Go for the bottled beer specials once you have had enough of the standard Irish beers on tap. Recommended!

Zdeněk, the owner is a whisky enthusiast who travels far and wide in search of the rarest, finest tipple. The pub itself has a good, cosy Irish atmosphere and caters for larger groups if booked in advanced. It's a 10 minute walk out of the city centre but worth the effort.
