La Sparenza – a place I’ve been visiting regularly for two years now, sometimes even multiple times a week. Normally, I dislike repeating meals, but in this case, it’s hardly possible to get bored. They have a million types of pizza, and at this point, I could probably rank them all from worst to best – but what good would that do you?
Sparenza has changed in two ways over time: first, it used to be a hidden gem that no one knew about, and second, the prices have gone up a bit. But honestly, neither of these changes are surprising. The first one is easy to explain – every time I walk past the restaurant, I’m drawn in by the amazing smell of their pizza. The second? Sure, paying around 70 CZK for a quarter of a pizza might seem a bit overpriced for us Czechs, especially since the place looks like a fastfood. The only “fast food” aspect here, is the speed.
Let me tell you, I’m a big guy – I can devour 500g of tartare and still have room for dessert. But here? The most I’ve managed is three slices, and even that’s only happened twice in my life.
For me, this place is my go-to for brightening up a day. Despite the lines that now often occurs onto the street, the line moves quickly. And the flavor? It’s everything I want from a pizza.
If you’re wondering about my favorites, I’d say Siciliana, Speck Brie, and one with pistachios (though it’s not always available, and I can’t remember its name).
I’ve never had a negative experience here – the staff is great, the flavors are spot-on, and while the space is a bit small, it’s cozy to day at least. If you like your pizza piping hot, just let them know, because sometimes they tend to hurry things up, but I forgive them.
So, if you’re in Brno and craving a top notch pizza without limitations on flavor, this is the place to go.

We were in Brno for a competition at the swimming pool, we stayed in the centre of Brno so walked past this a few times a day. We stopped and ate on a few occasions and the Pizza is excellent. The location isn't great and its very small. But the food is first class. Most people seemed to take away or eat outside on the street. Although it does have a small outside eating area and a few tables inside. The kids loved the pizza and we had to get a slice nearly every time we passed. The competitors were staying in a nearby hotel and the food wasn't good, so this restaurant delivered 20 huge pizzas to the hotel, on time and at a great price. The only down side is they didn't seem to have any draft beer and the drinks menu is limited. But if you fancy great pizza its the best place in Brno. Superb!

Do not order from them, it will mention you will receive a sms when the order is confirmed but when you do not speak czech the message can be that the order is not confirmed, waited 2 hours for nothing

This bistro does not have a great location and is tiny. Still you can experience their a customer attention that many restautants should envy. Pizza tastes well and the service is great. Just drink selectio could be better - only Staropramen is not a great choice for Brno

Seevice was great. Although rushed the staff spoke good English and were helpful.
Pizza was fantastic and had a great crust.
Pasta was really tasty but my pasta was too soft. Nethertheless it was very enjoyable. The wine was great. Prices were very fair. Service was quick. Would definitely go back.

I tried quattro formaggi pasta, but it was more cream sauce than anything else and I didn't sense any cheese in my pasta. It was a disappointment. My friend's pizza was surprisingly tasty so it seems that this place is the one for pizza, but maybe not for pasta.

La Speranza is one of my favourite pizza places in Brno. It's nice and cozy bistro run by italians with great pizza and pasta made from italian ingredients. You can have whole pizza or just a slice to go. They have also vegetarian, vegan and gluten free pizza.

Dont be confused with the queue whether you will take away or eat there, you have to line up, order and wait at the table. During peak hours, no waiter/waitress will be there to ask what you want:)).
Pizza is great with thin dough and tasty topping, my friend and I order 2 ready-to-serve slides and one whole pizza. We eat the 1st two slides while waiting abt 20mins for the whole pizza from oven.
Highly recommend for pizza lovers

I have traveled throughout Italy extensively, but pizza of this kind you find only in remote parts of Sicily. I was blown away by the taste and the quality of the pizzas. So, if you want the true Italian pizza in Brno, do yourself a favor and hit this place. This is definitely the very best pizza in town!!

Absolutely love this restaurant. Amazing pizza for good prices. Much, much better than other pizzerias in Brno. Staff is always very nice and friendly. Pizza is delicious with true Italian ingredients. You can also buy take away quarter of pizza without waiting.

Delicious pizza to go, but you can have more than pizza, for example lasagne or pasta. If you stay and take a seat, you can drink some italian wine or beer. Sometimes is possible to order in Italian language and teach some new words. =D Very little place with Italian spirit.
