Pivní Burza is a relatively new pub on Brno's already pub and cafe filled Veveří street.
The pub's theme is that of a stock market. They offer eight or so (average to below average) beers and the prices on them fluctuate through the evening. There...is a large electronic stock market type display on one wall where you can see the current going price of each particular beer. Additionally, there is a touch screen built into every table through which you can order beer and see the current prices.
When we arrived at around 7:30, the beer prices were all about average for Brno pubs. As the evening went on, the prices did fluctuate regularly but all did creep up to the vicinity of a ridiculous 40 Kornuy for a pint by the time 10:00 came.
Smoke and grease smells from the kitchen found their way into the dining area and were quite off-putting. The toilets are located at the border area between the smoking and non smoking sections, so we had to walk through a cloud of tobacco smoke every time we needed the bathroom.
This place really could use some air conditioning and a better selling point than the stock market theme.
As it currently is, you can do much better on Veveří than this place.More
