We had beef soup with meat and noodles and pork cutlet of pork neck with homemade mashed potatoes and cucumbers. The soup was hot (the temperature) and tasty, the meat tender, the noodles little over boiled but as a whole good staff. The cutlet was...tender and juicy the potatoes and pickled cucumber were good, So my recommendation. Plus - worth to notice some funny beranka (lamb) sketches on the walls. The staff was fast.More
Expensive been and food for what it is and where it is! The setting is like from an old communist restaurant and the uncomfortable furniture matches that perfectly! They have a nice selection of rums but at the prices they are trying to sell them,...a location in the center is more comfortable and cosy. Waitress didn’t have a clue that the small beer for 24 czk is the same price per liter as the large beer at 40 czk, and didn’t seem to care when I pointed out the absurdity of their pricing scheme.More
Ordered borsh soup for lunch, 4 euros. It was horrible, very greasy tomato paste with some beets, and no meat. I've eaten home cooked borsh, this was even worse than the one they sell in supermarket cans, probably some cheap brand. I did not eat...of course, just payed the bill. Waiters are not friendly, but how can they if they serve such horrible food.More
We just came a long way to enjoy a dinner for 3. The spot was bussy, but there were plenty of chairs empty. The staff seemed totally stressed and annoyed with new guests. They didn‘t care a second about us and asked us to leave...without trying to find a table. Very disappointed.More
We are sorry you have had a bad experience at our restaurant. If the waiters told you that they had all the seats full, it was. We apologize for their behavior, we have solved it. We hope to come to us sometime and everything will...More
While sitting in this tavern, looking at the big painting with the holy sheep, eating the delicious food and drinking good beer I had a moody, very fine time.
I got an impression that this pub is designed for foreigners. An interior looks like I would describe a traditional Czech pub. They have a menu and their web page in English so this just add to my impression. Waiter was at my table faster...then I'd had a chance to choose something to eat and drink. I had svíčková for dinner and it was at my table in 5 minutes I've ordered it and I can't complain about the taste. Better to have a reservation as this place was completely full in the evening and many tables were per-occupied with reservations.More
I stopped here to have dinner alone. The lady at the bar was very helpfull and kind. I had a great beer and a lovely steak with grilled vegetables. And for a very good price. I would highly reccommend this place to everybody.
I will make it short: nice place, czech style, nice service, tasty food and good prices. I dont speak the language but by using hands and legs we ordered some really nice dishes! And the beef tartare was good. Maybe not as I eat it...normaly but I think that was czech style. Yummy:) burger was also great (the italian one). Everything was fresh and looked healthy cooked:) I recommend this place!More
Was there on a Friday evening. Crowded but got a place to sit. Staff was very friendly and supportive. But the food was not as expected. Have had Filovany steak with grilled vegetables. The steak was prepared rare, but not as marble, as I know...it from other places. And the veggies were oily and burnt. So, not very delicious! Beer instead was very tasty.More
Really good authentic Czech Food. The meat was delicious. Not too many options for vegetarians, but some vegetarian dishes are available. Good service, exceptional homemade Beer.
We visited this restaurant in april 2017, it is located 15 min from the center but its really nice. I recomend knedlishy ( awsome! With some kind of cheese and bscon). Meat is also nice. Dont take french fires because we got unfresh and black...one :/ Beer is also great- for man try baranek? For girls - Beer with orange is fresh and light.More
A bit out from the city center (3 tram stops), but definitelly worth it. I had a burger with handmade fries, with their homemade beer and my girlfriend had a vegetarian dish. Many local people when we went, I think this is always a good...sign!More
Been in four countries in Europe this trip so far and this is the best restaurant by far of anywhere. Amazing prices amazing selection and the hugest portions and most delicious meals anywhere. I'd stay here in this city just to eat here. The red...hot burger is great and the sausage appetizer is great. The schnitzel meal is enough for two people. The kids fried cheese is amazing. The ribs are great also.More
It is a nice place to get a beer, and some fine dishes. Really good atmosphere, we will come back later if we can! :)
