Having walked around Brno, i stopped in Mazany Andel for dinner last night. Service was prompt and food quality was good - i had a roast chicken breast and it was very well cooked. Beer was good as in most places in Brno. I sat...outside which was nice but local laws still allow smoking and once you get accustomed to a no smoking policy, it can be somewhat unwelcome.More
Friendly service, good food and reasonable prices. What's not to like! We had the steak, was cooked perfectly. Will probably return before I leave.
went there because I was staying in Brno Palace, which is across the street. Didn't like the atmospere in that sports bar with football running on a big screen, but it wasn't too noisy. Food and beer was excellent.
They don’t know the difference between latte and coffee!!! They are unable to make a hot latte! The server was poor and said they only have cold milk and unable to make a hot latte!

The Mazany Andel pub is a nice place, beautiful interior actually, surprising even... the food was ok, we had ribs and beers so not much there to say :) The ribs were fine, welll made, the beers-not so much...Pilsner saved it :) But overall a...busy place with good staff.More

When I come here I usually take the ribs but they cook also different food with good quality. The offer also lunch menus. Never had issues with service. They were always fast and I always gotten what I wanted. Price to quality ratio is ok....Final verdict 3.5.More
I tried this restaurant because I knew that they are quite known and because they had lunch menu even during a public holiday day. I had sviečková and my friend had fried chicken steak with potatoes. Portions are really big, but the taste is mild....My meat had a lot of fat pieces and my friend's side dish was dry and without the taste. Beef soup was tasty and hot which I really appreciated. I give 2 points out of 5 just because of that.More
Very nice restaurant in center of Brno. I had beef steak with pepper sauce. Steak was perfect, but sauce could be better. I will visit this restaurant next month and will report their progress;-)
I had beef steak and salad - it was fresh and tasty - not extraordinary but good basic food - good service, prompt and friendly and it looked like the beer was excellent - the others enjoyed theirs - I just needed to work that...night so didn't join in. For non-smokers, remember that it's ok to smoke in restaurants/bars in Czech Republic which doesn't work for me but this restaurant has a non-smoking area and it was fresh and lovelyMore
We have taken the risotto and ribs. Ribs are great. Service was quick. Risotto was oily but still ok. We will go again
What is really great about this restaurant is, that they're cooking after 10 pm. And thanks this I had a change to taste their delicious tortila with chicken pieces! Definately I will visit this restaurant again.

Mazany Andel is 50 feet from the Barcelo Brno Palace hotel in Brno. For those like me who travel to Brno for work, having this pub/restaurant so close by is really nice. Not that there are not plenty of places to eat in city center,...but this place is great. Walk in and you are at the end of a long bar with tables across from the bar, and there are dining tables in a small room at the end. I love Czech wheat beer, and they serve Krusovice Psenicne (wheat beer), a really good one. Food and beer in Brno (Czech in general) is extremely affordable. My last trip in March a half liter of Krusovice cost 37 crowns ($1.50 USD). They offer some nice local dishes and have specials every day so it's not always the same fare. A great local place steps from the hotel.More

We ate here twice as the seating area was a little quieter than the other restaurants about. We found the staff very attentive. We enjoyed our food on both occasions and would have no complaints. Portions are big and if you can't finish they have...no problem in providing it to take away. Nice comfortable outdoor seating area, blankets offered if chilly and they turn on outdoor heaters also if cooler. Its a pleasant spot to sit out, enjoy a drink and food is good.More
