The waiter Jaroslav was absolutely professional and at the same time very nice and friendly. The food was amazing and served at the right time. We visited this place with my wife as part of a birthday celebration so we didn't worry too much about...the prices. In hindsight I perceive the prices to be slightly higher than I would have expected, but given the corona crisis that has hit the catering industry hard, this is understandable. Our 1st time here and it was a beautiful fine dining experience. The staff were very polite and attentive. The food was visually beautiful as well as having stunning flavours. The decor again, absolutely lovely. The only thing lacking was a feeling of ‘atmosphere’ but...this might be because we had an early sitting, and there were only 2 other people in the restaurant, later on it may have felt a little more relaxed with more guests.More

Me and my friend went there to celebrate my birthday and we tried tasting menu. I can only recommend! We were very much satisfied with the presentation of the meals, as much as with the taste. As my friend has gluten-free diet, cook prepared the...menu in gluten-free version with no problem. The waitress that waited our table was very nice and she recommended to us wines exactly according to our taste. Thumb up for that! A pleasant thing was an extra desert that my friend got. She was complimenting ice-cream that we ate as a part of the tasting menu so much that the waitress brought her an extra portion as a complimentary of the restaurant. That was nice. Except higher prices, but this is understandable for any fancy restaurant like that.More

After a long day of travel, it's nice to be able to have dinner in the same building as your hotel. I was delightfully surprised by the quality of food, space, and wait staff. I will definitely be returning next time I stay at the...Barcelo.More

Our Gate 1 Tour of 22 persons was scheduled to have a group dinner here on the evening of September 26. We were excited to dine at the table in this beautiful dining room. When my spouse and I, and several others, sat down just...before our scheduled dinner, we were told that our dinner was cancelled due to the fashion show that night in the hotel, and that the room had been rescheduled for "more important guests". This was the room that Gate 1 Tours have used in past seasons for the group dinner in Brno. Even our tour leader had no idea that we had been rudely displaced! Shortly thereafter, we were informed that our dinner had been moved to the basement...Repeat...THE BASEMENT!!! This basement room was horrible, stark, bare, with no ambience whatsoever. A hotel guide was required to guide us along the bowels of this ugly understory until we reached the barebones room furnished with cheap plastic chairs that offered no beauty anywhere. It definitely looked like an ugly basement!! For such a classy hotel and restaurant, our meal was terrible, and I mean miserably terrible!!! We were served over-cooked pork and dumplings along with poor quality sweet sauerkraut. Cheap, watery chicken soup and a pathetic apple strudel for desert completed the meal. This was the worst meal, and the most deplorable setting in which we dined during our entire 11-day tour of Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Barcelo Palace Hotel Brno, this was a major failure on your part. You failed Big Time, and you should be ashamed to seat a group in such a miserable place for dinner, and then to serve such an aweful meal. You definitely destroyed what had previously been an amazing experience.More

Exceptional quality and price. Expensive for Brno but not if compared with prices in London. Had foie gras, followed by slow roast duck followed by creme brulee accompanied by a local Moldavian wine. Great flavours and quality. As we were staying in the hotel, we...benefited from a 10% discount.More

We had a dinner at the Palazzo Restaurant in Brno!It was very good. We had fois Gras, venösen goulasch, and dessert of the chef (surprise). It was excellent.

I normally do not like to have dinner in the restaurant of the hotel where I am staying but I was attracted by the menu selection, the reasonable prices and the nice location (hotel is also very nice), Food was really top level, with good...combination of different and delicate tastes. The restaurant is based on the 1st floor of the Barcelo Brno Palace where we were staying so it was very convenient to pop in for dinner. The service was good and the food lovely. Would definitely recommend it.
