Beautiful building, modern Czech interior, quick service, clean toilets and above all : delicious Czech cuisine with slow cooked pork, spinach pancakes and even gnocchi with gorgonzola as Italian intruder tasted nice. We will definitely come back next visit!

Very nice brewery in the city center of Brno. Gret draughted Pilsner Urquell, and the best sausages i have ever eat, and i ate many. Four of us, 12 beers, double portions for everyone costs 60 euro.

Came here after reading other reviews and was not disappointed. Staff speak English and there's an English menu. Food was tasty and plentiful and the beer was good. Can get noisy and smoky but all adds to the atmosphere. Easy to walk straight passed it as it's quite unassuming from the outside.

Stopkova is a Pilsner Urquell chain restaurant. My schnitzel was overcooked and my husband's meat dish was bland. There must be better local cuisine.

Contrast to our previous visits a year ago when it was one of our favourite restaurants in Brno with good food and friendly service. Menu last year was interesting - this year it was limited and much less exciting. We felt that we were not especially welcome and the food was of poor quality. English menu available. Credit cards accepted.

The famous Stopek's Beer House has always been one of the pillars of Czech social and cultural life in Brno. There has been a pub here since the second half of the 19th century. It became famous with the arrival of the new owner, the genius Jaroslav Stopka, who took over the original Jonak's Beer House in 1910. Period advertisements always declared that the best Pilsner beer could be had at Stopka's. The pub retained its character and atmosphere even after its extensive modernisation. The author of the façade of the beer house is Czech painter and graphic artist Láďa Novák (1865 - 1944), a well-know Prague bohemian and also the author of the decorations on the U Fleků Pub in Prague, was also repaired and renovated. Pilsner Urquell and dark Velkopopovický Kozel, Fénix and Birell Light are all on tap. The head chef at Stopek's Beer House, Matěj Kovacs, recommends the excellent rosemary flavoured roasted lamb hock.
