A convenient tram ride out of the centre of the Czech Republic's second city, this establishment provides a range of excellent meat and seafood dishes in a comfortable environment complete with log fire. On an evening when I was avoiding meat, they substituted a blue...cheese butter for their pork spread without being asked. Great English-speaking service, a good wine list including the renowned Milan Sukor Pinot Noir, and varied menu. We will return. A pleasant walk back to town ended the evening perfectly.More

I could spent nice time with my GF there. We've really enjoyed nice atmosphere with professional service and very good and tasty food&wine...I can only recommend that place for family or even business meetings.

Friendly multi-lingual waiter. Very nice setting with park places and an open fire. The menu is limited but exquisite dishes. We had confit duck (house specialty), schnitzel and cod. All cooked to perfection. Excellent beer Ours was a family occasion and we chose this place...mainly because of its location (half-way between Poland and Austria). We never regretted our choice and were pleasantly surprised. Top marks We did not try the wine listMore

Stylish, modern, high end restaurant. Great food and atmosphere but not too expensive. Indoor parking. Also outdoor seating. Relatively short menu (not a common occurrence in the Czech Republic), which means the food is fresh.

It was a nice sunny day at the end of September we came here for a family celebration. And it was great. Why? Just very tasty food, a large menu with all czech cuisine, but also choices for fish lovers and vegetarians, pilsen beer, topic...wines, and most of all, really perfect and kind personnel! We asked for relocation because the weather was warm and the employees helped us immediately!More

Nice days in the city make you feel like relaxing in the shade. Summer season is almost here so it is the high time to test my favourite garden of the Konfit restaurant. It is peaceful and green and I love the playful water element...that refreshes the air. Visitors select their own form of refreshment. My friend voted for the vegetarian salad, But I could not resist meeting the meat á la Konfit. First of all there was the so called Moravian granola as the appetizer, then the attractive duo of paté (goose and pork) with home made bread. My main course matched the lovely garden for rabbits are flowers fans too. Concerning wine the very special cuvee Konfit deserves big compliments. I have a plan to return here very soon. Mind the fact the restaurant will be closed from July 2 to July 8. OK, so I will bring my friends from Austria to this heaven on earth restaurant. Thanks to our waiter Mikulas, he is as nice as his patron St Nicolas, distributing presents to be enjoyed. Applause to the whole Konfit team.More

Great food and very good service, nice place with a large fireplace which adds nice cosy feeling. Great seasonal food and if you need something little bit extra, do not hesitate to ask. Good wine too...

We were attracted to Konfit by positive TA reviews even though it was in an unprepossessing location and when we first walked by it looked as if it was shut - don't be put off by the drawn drapes and unloved frontage, you need to...walk up through the car access to the left and seek out the front door. Once you climb the stairs you're in a surprisingly roomy space with lots of garden ambience and elegant furnishings. It's easy to find good value grub in Brno but Konfit offers something a little more fine dining. We tackled two courses each quite early in the evening, so there were only a couple of other tables occupied, but the atmosphere was refined rather than empty. Starters were goats cheese with walnuts and rhubarb, not quite as anticipated as the rhubarb element came in a sweetened jam when an astringent 'an naturel' option would have worked better with other elements, and warm homemade ham from their smokehouse - solid, but not as good as I enjoyed elsewhere in the city in a much more basic pub. Confit duck main ticked all the boxes with a generous side of red cabbage, but the rabbit stew came in a creamy sauce which had too much stodge - not really a stew at all. Plenty of meat, though, and a satisfying plate. We weren't stunned, but pleasantly filled from a menu which shows imagination and local influence, and with a decent bottle of Czech red and a glass of gloriously sharp local white the bill was still a billy bargain compared to what you'd be paying for a similar meal in the UK.More

Exceptional service is topped only by the truly exceptional dishes, all offered in a space that features a clean, contemporary aesthetic infused with a dash of Old World warmth. Menu highlights include house-smoked meat and fish and, as the name suggests, several different confits (duck,...oxtail and pork shoulder on the night we were there) slow-cooked to perfection. A lovely setting and definitely a dining highlight on Brno's engaging culinary scene. Nice wine list for pairing.More

Konfit is not in the very busy downtown of Brno but just 5-10 minutes from there - which is also its huge advantage ! ( parking is available as well as public transportation ) Wonderful winter garden , inside room and outside garden with beautiful...trees and flowers are there to choose from. Great menu with seasonal offers ( I had fantastic asparagus ) kind and attentive service with perfect English . Overall : the place to be in Brno ! I very warmly recommend it to all even for lunch ! It's very much worth it .More
