Do not come here, terror and misery. Service inadequate. The meat smelled and there was dirt everywhere. A really terrible experience and a spoiled evening.
We decided to eat at this restaurant because it listed Tapas as a speciality - we’d been walking around this beautiful city, sampling food, beer and wine throughout the day so we decided to pick a Tapas Restaurant to end the night....They didn’t have the...Wine we requested.... (two different types), the cheese and prosciutto was so dry, the potatoes were subpar and the overall service wasn’t great. DO NOT RECOMMEND.More
We have never been treated this way in a restaurant.we were a group of 14. Restaurant was empty but waiters would not let us gather tables so we all sit together. The waitress would make rude comment in czech, thinking that we would not understand....We ended up leaving the place because of the rudeness of waiters. I wouldn't recommend it to anyoneMore
I was in Prague for a few days and I decided to treat myself. Travelled all the way from across the other side of town. The place is cavernous. Huge and dark. The layout is separate by walls. There were maybe 3 other tables in...there when i arrived. I came down the stairs and there was no one to greet me. I walked on to get a menu and I stop by one the waiters. I sat down and waited at least 15 mins before I came. I was about to leave, but a waitress came just as I got up. I ordered lamb ribs and the steak selection (which comes with creamy baked potato, it’s says that on the menu) and some cream spinach. Drinks came, then the food came. The lamb ribs were rank. Tasted horrible. They didn’t smell off, but they weren’t fresh. The steak selection wasn’t great either. It came with roast potatoes not baked. It had no taste, the spinach too was bland. As I said before, the place is big. So many other tables, yet hey decided to sit a table of 8 guys right next to me. I was ignored for another 20 mins, so I went up to the bar to pay. Expensive time for a crappy meal with the worse service I have ever had. I wouldn’t come back even if you paid me. Pity u can’t give no stars on trip advisor...More
It was quiet in the restaurant today. But nevertheless a warm welcome feeling. The ‘lomo’ steak was just so nice!
The restaurant was beautiful and intimate and underground. I was underwhelmed by the food.We tried the bife de chorizo which is a striploin. It was ok,cooked fine but the meat lacked flavour. The chimuchuri that came with it wasn't like the ones we tried in...Argentina. The starter of octopus and prawns was mediocre And again lacked any flavour. Prices are fair. Service was polite and friendly.More
I am always happy with my meat here. The place is a not brightly lit, but if that is not a problem for you, I can recommend it. Lunch time offers are usually great in terms of price-quality. You need to order a side dish...separately. I can recommend the flap steak (or any other, really) and a simple vegetable salad.More
Definitely problems with this restaurant. Slow service. Very few wines actually available on the wine list. One of the starters delivered still frozen!! So definitely not fresh. Steak average, not Argentinian and over cooked. Very disappointed. Not recommended.
I have never had a steak that was as good as mine. I am not a chef, I just like to eat, especially steak. The soup, green beans and salad were excellent. The steak was over the top good. I had to go compliment the...chef. We had a 5:30 reservation, which was very easy to make online.More
They denied to serve me in the restaurant because I had no reservation.. 80% of the tables were few.. I had a meal upstairs. It was average. Starter was disappointing and not a piece of bread they give. Meat was good despite the fact they...exaggerated with the salt. Wine was medium. The wait was long. Go here with time. I had been here once in the past and had a better experience.More
I went with my wife ordered stakes and it was awesome we loved the place and the staff were very helpful and friendly and the ribeyes is fantastic .. I would definitely come back again
Ordered a "strong Argentina broth soup" to start. It's wasn't strong at all, more like broth flavour water. Followed by a 300g ribeye steak. This was flavoursome, however it had a lot of gristle, making edible part of about 250g. Nice in general, but overall...pricey considering.More
After many dinners in last years in this beloved resto (even a birthday), I am now disappointed for the 2nd time in few months as apparently has become impossible to get a table. Even with email confirmation after online reservation, when I arrived they said...they did not receive first and then that it was for the resto upstairs. Sorry, it does not work like this. I bring good memories of past dinners, but not gonna try anymore. Good luck...adiosMore
Came here late Sep-18 for a business lunch. Very friendly staff, and nice location + tables not too close together, so you can have a private discussion without feeling isolated. One drawback was the seats were a little low on 1 side of the table,...(which was very odd). We were sitting on a table with bench seats for 4 people on 1 side, and chairs on the other side - the chairs were fine, but on the bench we felt like we were sitting nearly on the floor!! This was a minor thing through - although hopefully something the management can easily sort out, (cushions on the bench maybe?) Food quality was excellent, as was service. Price was really surprising - very reasonable. I was expecting this to be very much more expensive - in reality this was a fine dining experience at budget restaurant price. Very accomodating staff. As with many Czech places, very limited choices for vegetarians - so I chose the risotto - and the chef kindly used delicious goats cheese rather than fish for the risotto - which was very much appreciated. My colleague had the fish risotto - and in reality I think the cheese was a much better dish !! Very happy - thanks El Barrio - very much recommended to local people, business travellers and tourists alike.More
